Not theology quite true.....
If you are truly saved the fruit of that would be living it but there are zero works that are necessary for salvation. It is by faith alone.
.i.e. The thief on the cross or a person making a deathbed confession has zero works attached.
Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is all that scripture requires BUT it must be genuine faith.
Many will claim to be Christians with works aplenty but on the last day God will say "Depart from me, I never knew you"
Yes, believing he's lord & accepting what Christ did to save you is the only thing required for salvation. And to stop sinning keeps you from being harmed.
Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is all that scripture requires BUT it must be genuine faith.
Yep, and another important point is that no man can bring anybody else to true faith in Christ -- only God can "draw them to His Son", as in John 6:44. This completely destroys the popular belief that men can cause other men to come to Christ. This is a most wicked perversion of evangelism and is the primary basis upon which countless atrocities have been committed, "in the name of Christ", these "warriors for Christ" have murdered, tortured, slandered, extorted their way through the ages and thank GOD this has finally been put to an end, at least the physical aspects of it. There is still plenty of mental / verbal persecution and irritant by zealous "evangelists", putting huge burdens on people, often not even knowing the truth of what they themselves preach as they lobby their prospects with whatever sect or denomination they subscribe to, but Christ never pursued people who didn't believe Him. He was not shoving his teachings down peoples' throat, He was "sewing seeds" and whatever the heart conditions of the listeners was determined whether or not they received His message.
Also, the tweet is a bit misleading. You don't get saved by "converting to 'Christianity'", whatever he means by that term, you get saved by faith in Christ. This further illustrates the abysmal state of most believers mentality, thinking that whatever they call Christianity is the same thing as belief in Jesus. It is a highly-loaded term and I cringe when I hear it
Well, we agree that it must be a genuine faith. And you are correct, there is no qualifying deed to be done in the case of death bed confessions. But if you simply convert and do not act as a Christian for your remaining life I think you'll be getting the "never knew you" message.
every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Corinthians 3:13-15
If you become saved through John 3:16 (believe on Christ), but live a crappy life, the result is your rewards in heaven are diminished.
Ahh, Yes, However, good works in God's eyes will follow sincere trust in Him.. Yes, our own works are unprofitable (and even worse, like bloody rags) We have faith in the work of Messiah, who has lived a perfect life (as described in Isaiah 53) then died the death we deserved, We do good works through relationship with the Risen Messiah, Jesus. Jesus also said, "By their fruits you shall know them." We as adopted children have the Spirit of God to work these fruits in us as we work them out.
No conversion necessary. Before any of us were born as biological entities, we were immortal spirits. This is one area of modern Christianity that I disagree with.
We are all ISBEs. Immortality has always and will always be ours. We have merely forgotten that spiritual part of our being.
I agree though that the Cabal do not want us remembering our spiritual immortality.
No conversion necessary. Before any of us were born as biological entities, we were immortal spirits. This is one area of modern Christianity that I disagree with
Then why are the elites so against Christianity alone?
Why are there so many counterfeits of Christianity that all attack or disagree with specifically salvific issues?
Satan doesn't care if you're Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, or any other religion. Evil only fights the truth.
You're going to bet your entire soul on the fact that your Creator is not deadly serious about sin? That there are not consequences for our actions, and an equally serious sacrifice must be made to atone for those sins? I would not suggest doing this. Who is Christ to you, then?
Christ, to me, is exactly who he said he was. He is a son of God, just as we are all children of God. The question then becomes how you define and come to understand God.
I believe all of the teachings of Christ. I do not believe the entire narrative of the Bible, as I have come to understand that its present day iteration has had much removed that should not have been, and a great deal added that has been used to misconstrue and obfuscate Christ's teachings.
I have come to believe that we are the creators of our own hell. Those who consume the blood of the innocent condemn their souls to a half life; a cursed life that will lead them into an eternity of suffering of their own design. The law of equal and opposite reaction extends to the energy of the soul. Negative energy only begets negative reaction. Those who commit sin of the highest order will see that sin rebounded upon themselves.
He didn't just say he's "a" son of God, he said he's "The" son of God. The 2nd person of the trinity. This is affirmed throughout scripture. And if you believe the teachings of Christ, then you would believe the narrative of the Bible because he affirmed that as well. I would highly suggest you listen to teaching on these subjects, and discern for yourself. Don't take my word for it, investigate the message.
I wish you luck and wisdom on your search, God bless you!
33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’[d]? 35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? 37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
There's a difference between an adopted son, and an incarnate one. Furthermore there is a difference between created and uncreated.
Jesus claimed far more than being a son of God as we are all children of God. This is fleshed out (pun intended!) in the Gospel of John, and hinted at in the other Gospels, as well. If He had simply been a son as we all are, and only claimed that much, the Pharisees (and Sadducees) would not have attempted to kill him for blasphemy numerous times.
God appears before all beings, across all times, as all manifestations. Gurus, Buddhas, Jesus, any other form of great teacher or great teaching. Through all forms of literature, all mediums of expression. In all phenomena, appearance, forms etc as what you think of as Christ. Yes, even in you and me.
If that were not the case, God indeed would be lacking the power, wisdom, compassion etc to do so.
God is not lacking.
If your faith is not yet strong enough to accept this possibility, indeed, take refuge in whatever form has been manifested that grants you a feeling of connection with god.
what about the countless beings that lived before, during and after that have never heard the words of Jesus, let alone read a bible because they are physically unable,
and what of all the countless beings across the infinite cosmos?
Did Jesus appear to them, did scribes somehow divinely transcribe his teachings?
If you truly, truly want to know the answer, read the lotus sutra, chapter 16
Jesus's teaching is useful for these people, as it is indeed the only way they may be 'saved'
Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
You are not wrong but no matter how hard you bang your head against the wall, it is very unlikely that you will break through to them.
Leave them be, and have compassion for them, they are not 'wrong', they just have a limited perception. Whether that perception evolves in the coming period of time, perhaps. I believe it may.
Jesus indeed recognised this very fact and through his embodiment of the 'Christ' principle, gave them a simple teaching so that they may see, however dimly it may be. That is actually the great love behind his teaching.
19 The Jews who heard these words were again divided. 20 Many of them said, “He is demon-possessed and raving mad. Why listen to him?”
21 But others said, “These are not the sayings of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
If no conversion is necessary, then the threat of spiritual death and judgment holds no power, then the evil people, the cabal, will not be judged for their evil and wicked deeds by a Just God who gives Life, instead they will be rewarded for their actions and given eternal life if no conversion or repentance is necessary. I disagree with you on this.
Umm, with all due respect, if you accept God in Christ as one with the Father and believe that he rose on the third day you will not die either, you will have eternal life with HIM. It may not be fire and brimstone, I am not convinced about those depictions, because when those words were written, Gehenna was a wasted place that burned, like a dump, and that is where the bodies went, without ritual burial. I believe your soul is eternal, and you get to spend it in Paradise with God, the creator of all things beautiful and peaceful and glorious, or you get to be a demon soul, wandering in misery and wrath, causing all kinds of shit, until the final judgement. God does want us to behave a certain way, and part of that way is to love him above all else, forgive others, be good to others as he has been good to us, to not reject the poor and hungry, and to not keep sinning after you have asked for forgiveness. But conversion is necessary for Paradise, and to be reunited with others in Christ. Ask him to come to you, he will, it is not difficult at all, easiest thing in the world, God gave him authority over the world, and in Paradise he sits at God's right hand. Ready to hold you forever in eternal love. `Our life is a gift though, to spend wisely and in gratitude, so you don't have to be in a hurry to be with him, ask him, and he will walk with you through everything you do.
"Since I have not been born, I will not die." The more I think about this sentence, the more I come to the conclusion, that it is true. And that is what I take as a self chosen buddhist and self chosen baptized christian out of it: before I truly can help others I have to clean my own house. This will be my last Incarnation on this planet except I choose otherwise. I made many good choices, but also some bad ones, and I try to avoid bad ones as long as I live in this body.
It is apparent though, that the cabal is hating Christianity, that meaning the message of the Christ which is eternal truth, as we are eternal beeings.
this single chapter contains incredible power. It removes all contradiction and reveals plainly the ultimate method by which buddha or Christ uses to teach all beings.
It is infact the only thing that makes sense at all.
The teachings of the Buddha are of such, that specially in our time, it can be comprehensible to any man and women with common sense and logical thinking.
For starters there is a book by Georg Grimm, the Doctrines of the Buddha... and old book but in English available even in the Kindle format...
I cite the introduction text of it below:
"The Doctrine of the Buddha is the fruit of George Grimm's intensive studies and practical realization of the Buddha's teaching on the nature of reality and the self. First published in German in 1915, SunWise Books is pleased to offer this new printing of the 1st English edition, completely re-typeset and re-edited.
With abundant references to the Pali Nikayas, the oldest Buddhist scriptures, the author masterfully lays out the core of the original Buddhist doctrine, showing how key ideas like Anatta or "not-self" have been grossly misunderstood and misinterpreted by subsequent generations. The Doctrine of the Buddha is essential reading for students of Buddhism and for all seekers of Truth.
About the Author:
After completing his theological studies, George Grimm (1846-1945) devoted himself to jurisprudence and was characterized as ‘Bavaria’s most benevolent judge’. His interest in philosophical problems led him to study Schopenhauer’s works, which in turn led him to Indological studies. In 1921 he founded the ‘Altbuddhistische Gemeinde’, (Old Buddhist Community). He spent the last twelve years of his life in the rural stillness of Upper Bavaria."
you're going to get downdooted AF for expressing this here as I have been, lol
I'm not some great great scholar of Buddhism, but I spent some time in the past browsing through different teachings, names for concepts and such, there are a lot. many of them seem to contradict each other and I didn't really understand why. That lack of cohesion led me towards the Zen school, as well as a bit of Toaism. It seemed to sort of, 'get to the point', more. What I was searching for was an explanation of the thing that had happened to me 15 years ago, for which I had no context, being a former radical atheist. I was simply looking for a way it had been described that I could point directly to and say 'that's it!' seeking validation...
anyway, more recently, since the assassination attempt, and things are beginning to 'happen' again, and I started seeking out the names of concepts that I had forgotten. I had grown arrogant, selfish and lazy in my 'attainment' and discarded everything. I thought I had no use for it
So I started reading the history of all the Buddhist schools, the branching teachings, schisms, heretical teachings etc. This time I was curious about why the contradictions appeared to exist and what the meaning of the different schools represented. Anyway look it's really complicated and I'm not an expert on the topic, eventually I began to read some sutras from the Mahayana tradition that developed later than the earlier schools, and came to the lotus sutra, and specifically chapter 16.
It was literally covering the topic of my recent existential dilemma that was causing me so much so much fear and panic. As I was reading it, the dharma was unfurling as the lotus, everything aligning, ultimate synchronicity sensation. Can't really explained it. Scared the hell out of me, but not in a negative sense. Fearful at the sheer almighty reality of all dawning on me, but knowing finally, having confirmation it was indeed as I suspected all along.
I think what people, specifically fundamentalist Christians, get hung up on is the different terminology used and the funny sounding words. I've already been accused of worshipping a false god demon that speaks in a foreign tongue, lol
I'm not a Buddhist, in any sense really other than that the terminology speaks to me and the way the logic flows fits with how I process things, so I just enjoy reading Buddhist stuff, occasionally, to gain insight into specific ideas. I'm not and will not ever be interested in any sort of dogmatic religious view of any kind
They get so hung up on this word Buddha and imagine it some false deity, and don't understand it's meaning at all. 'Awakened one'. It's just a title, not the name of a deity. Just as 'Christ' is a title, not a name.
I think if you are able to see within that chapter of the lotus sutra what I have seen, and if you have a belief in Jesus, you will agree with me that it is perfectly reasonable to assume that Jesus was indeed the Buddha appearing for the benefit of sentient beings, to teach them in accordance with what they were able to understand.
if you want to flip it around the other way, you can think of it as Christ appearing to all beings, even as the Buddha, etc.
and infact, ultimately and mind-blowingly and frighteningly, appearing as ALL beings, appearances and phenomena throughout infinite space and time.
and that, on some level, is what we are as well.
obviously, this very, very far out there stuff. Its the stuff that people speak of after monumental doses of acid or mushrooms, its so incredibly unbelievable, to the point of retardation and insanity, that you likely reject the concept. It simply isn't possible. And yet upon closer inspection, is the only possibility, in my opinion.
It sort of doesn't matter, ultimately, because it is what it is anyway, and that's just what it does and how it operates.
It's a completely mystery that is unfathomable, blossoming before us eternally
just to point out, the setting of the lotus sutra is at some mystical gathering of tens of thousands of fantastical beings in some pretty tripped out place. It may not actually have occurred in a literal sense, but I don't ultimately think that matters at all. What matters is the possibility. Given an infinite reality and an eternity, if the possibility exists, it happened out there, somewhere at some point. Quite literally. If you really think about it, that's how whacked out it is. In some far off corner of the universe or in some dimension or realm, there is an entire planet of Trump-like creatures, endlessly debating each other and saying 'you are fake news'. I mean that's pretty silly but it surely exists within the infinite. The implications are literally endless, and going on and on is only going to lose you if I haven't already lost you.
I just think it helps to have a sense of humour about it because it can get very 'serious' and overwhelmingly morbid at times.
Elites hate this 'one simple trick' for a few reasons, the primary one being pride.
The other reasons are :
They don't like the idea of surrendering power here, to gain power in the world to come.
John 5:24 - "Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life."
I urge you to ask yourself this question, dear brothers and sisters
If it were that you were saved, and went to heaven after you died,
what would you spend eternity doing?
Wouldn't it become exceedingly dull, once you had done all there was to do and see all there was to see, as some human beings existing in heaven for eternity?
Franky, that sounds HORRIFIC
You would become so full of existential angst that you would seek union with god rather than remain as some being bored out of their minds for eternity.
Yes, heaven may be useful as a place to grow, learn and praise God,
but eventually, this too would become unsatisfactory.
you may dwell in heaven as long as you need, giving praise and glorifying almighty God. Eventually he calls us all to go beyond such selfish existence.
This is an interesting point, and why John says "We shall be like Him (God) for we shall see Him as He is. God is never bored, He's always interesting and interested. Also, read the Book of Revelation for an update: There will be a new Heaven and Earth to reign over. IDK what the downvotes were over, but we will not remain in Heaven full-time for an eternity, because we will have some business on the Earth, as well.
We all live forever. The question is whether eternity will be spent in heaven, or hell.
Amen!

According to the Word, those who reject God die a second death not remain forever in hell.
Yes, obliterated at the end of times. No bigger punishment than ceasing to exist. The ultimate removal from God.
Well, you DO actually have to live it as well, but close enough.

Fun fact: The phrase bloody rags there actually translates to dirty menstrual rags which is about one of the most grotesque things to Jewish culture
True, but as a female, I was hesitant to bring this up my self...
Faith alone in Christ alone!

Is that a mormon doctrine? (pre-existence as spirit children to a god and his goddesses?)
It isn't any doctrine. It is a natural law of the universe. Religion is a lens through which humanity seeks to understand the immortal spirit.

I love how your post title sounds like an obnoxious click bate banner. Trolly and fun. 10 points for content and delivery.
Quite profound.
It is apparent though, that the cabal is hating Christianity, that meaning the message of the Christ which is eternal truth, as we are eternal beeings.
you are correct brother.
If your heart is open and you are ready to receive, you should read chapter 16 of the Lotus Sutra
https://www.bdk.or.jp/document/dgtl-dl/dBET_T0262_LotusSutra_2007.pdf
this single chapter contains incredible power. It removes all contradiction and reveals plainly the ultimate method by which buddha or Christ uses to teach all beings.
It is infact the only thing that makes sense at all.
Thanks brother for this present. I will read it.

The other reasons are : They don't like the idea of surrendering power here, to gain power in the world to come.
They do not believe there's anything to the "Upside Down Kingdom" (As described in Matthew 5: The Beatitudes (https://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/mat/5/1/s_934001
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tca5xSfyog4 (Apologetix - Eight Ways To Be)
They also don't want you to know about jury nullification.
Truth!
John 5:24 - "Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life."
I urge you to ask yourself this question, dear brothers and sisters
If it were that you were saved, and went to heaven after you died, what would you spend eternity doing? Wouldn't it become exceedingly dull, once you had done all there was to do and see all there was to see, as some human beings existing in heaven for eternity? Franky, that sounds HORRIFIC
You would become so full of existential angst that you would seek union with god rather than remain as some being bored out of their minds for eternity. Yes, heaven may be useful as a place to grow, learn and praise God, but eventually, this too would become unsatisfactory.
Think on this.
Lol.
you may dwell in heaven as long as you need, giving praise and glorifying almighty God.
If you truly want to see my point, and have an open enough heart, read chapter 16 of the lotus sutra.
