There are about a hundred and a half people at my work, mostly 30-50 yr olds.
General consensus is most wanted to listen but could not due to being busy with life, however most all are saying they will listen to it when they can or over the weekend.
I feel that is a large swath of the population’s position as well.
I am waiting to see the numbers from podcast and re-broadcast. I think it will be higher than live listeners!
Another interesting stat we should see is International segment of listeners.
You are probably right and even if that is the truth of it, the math is stll impressive at 77% under 34yoa. I've been saying here for a long time and get quite a bit of shit over it.... Gen Z is not what you are led to believe. They're way more based than ppl think. I know many ppl from this age group. Heck there's even several here at GAW if ya pay attention.
Canadian CTV news did a hit piece and almost all the 1700 plus YouTube comments were on how bad the news is now. It can't be trusted and why do they bother even trying to be a news station. The tide is turning.

But my question is how do they know the ages that were in there? BC they posted their Date of Birth somewhere on X? What about those who went to a link to listen in but don’t have an account on X? How do they know their ages?

I've lived in Canada since marriage in 1976 and all they do here is watch the news and talk about the news ... at least the 'old' people haha. No wonder Canadians have taken so long to wake up!
I suspect it's because after that age, people are either parents (too busy), have multiple/long-hour jobs (too busy also), or not as tech savvy to tune in (recall that it couldn't start on time).
They're also pissed from a pop culture standpoint. They spent billions on woke films and TV shows, thinking they can attract the woke audience. They invented woke rules in this persuit. Then comes along Elon, with a lower budget and fewer rules, and he gets a bigger audience.
It's a classic story. The elites and the useful idiots are jealous that had to break their backs and not yield the same results as their competitors. They're upset that they "worked harder" (EG: obey the DEI rules).
