In many ways your 1776 was downstream of our 1688 which essentially established the English constitutional system and our bill of rights. Only in the English system parliament was considered sovereign as it represented everyone including the crown and the church. In the US system the constitution was considered sovereign.
Essentially the real mistake of both systems is personality matters more than words on a page. In 1997 the labour government here essentially gutted our "constitution" that while not written had been a long established way of doing things. Tony Blair created a number of new bodies outside of parliamentary control filled with friends of his who have essentially left us in a state of perpetual constitutional crisis. We have a "supreme court" since 2009 filled with left wing activist judges who make insane rulings often vetoing legislation passed by parliament. Something that simply was not a thing in the 1980's for example. The supreme court will make insane rulings and we are told that is the end of it even though my car is older than the supreme court.
Our constitution was subverted from within by our political class because it was unwritten but I have seen no evidence than the US has been any more resilient to this. It's essentially been done by the civil rights act and the national security state and by activist prosecutors and courts in certain jurisdictions like Southern Virginia, New York and Austin.
In my opinion the insulating factor that has slowed down the process in the US compared to the UK is that in a federal country power is more diffuse than in a unitary state. You have extra layers of competing interests with federal, state, county and local. The federal system also provides some kind of insulation in the event of a collapse of the federal system, administration can be devolved to a more local level. The British state has become very overly centralised since the second world war. The breakdown of the state would have serious consequences here.
My friend in cybersecurity says they dont bother tracking by ISP anymore since they can be easily hidden etc they track by model name and metadata by individual computers which cant be hidden or something.
So yh, if you're using anything digital it can be traced one way or another I believe :/
It's worth noting that we Brits mostly never owned guns in the first place. The number "handed in" was minuscule. When I was a child, I never saw a single gun apart from in cowboy movies. Basically, they just made it a lot more difficult to buy or own one legally. Obviously that made no difference to those who wanted a gun for nefarious purposes.
Best thing all of us can do: Form small groups in your immediate area - the neighborhood, the little town, the little suburb - with people you know and trust.
Don't post about it anywhere. Don't talk about it on the phone. Just meet up once a week or so for card games or watching football or a little target practice or a little prepping.
Small groups become larger groups. They will start to overlap. Then, if and when the SHTF, you'll be ready.
For my brothers and sisters in Jesus, small groups are where the real accountability can be accomplished before problems get to the size of needing to be delt with by elders.
Spread the word everywhere you can. This is something all of us can do. Using face-to-face contact only, form small groups who are ready to move if necessary.
The revolution, if it comes, will not start big. It will start small. Start now and get your trusted friends to do the same.
Need to start spreading the word on the thought crime stuff going on over there. Its not widely talked about enough here. People should be protesting about it the way they are Palestinians.
The native Brits need to fight their own 1776 revolution.

In 1798, our John Adams said:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
Looks like your constitution is the same way.
Thanks for that history. Our countries have been subverted.
The only problem is like they did with Hitler in appeasement of him. They appeased the Deep State into giving up all their guns.
With what?
Pitchforks, Whatever You can find...
Having a VPN is soon to be outlawed as well I reckon.
Not to burst your bubble, but I have the feeling many VPNs are already compromised. I can't prove it, but I don't doubt it either.

True dat.
You're right.

As much as I hate getting involved in overseas issues, it is quite apparent how important the US is to the world.
These people across the Atlantic are rooting hard for Trump to get in office because that means America will fight for their freedom as well.
But they better learn from this mistake, You NEVER give up your guns. Ever.
If they are expecting someone else to give them freedom, they don't deserve to have it.
Honestly, I agree, to a point. Plows can be made into weapons of war....
All I can say is they turned in their guns too easily.
It may be time for an other Revolution. This time in both France and the UK.
They're gonna need to get the guns back. They need to consider breaking into an armory.

See what happens when they try that shit in Merica!!!
It's literally already happening here.
Not the push like the UK. When it comes to push comes to shove. We will push back

Amen! Small Groups RULE! (And Rock!)

Help is coming!
Now they wish they had 2A.
They already have gun rights.
They should re-read Locke.
They were stupid to pretend like government is anything but imaginary.
This is horrible but it means, they know they can't do it here at the moment

Fine…I guess we’ll liberate Europe next. Deus Vult
Again, though "liberating" them in WWII might have been a mistake.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
It seems that the whole world is depending on Donald Trump winning for them to have a chance at freedom.
No, not really. It will just be a lot cleaner and quicker if he gets election.
I, for one, will not go quietly into the good Utopian night.
Praying for my brothers and sisters in the United Kingdom!

Wasn't he arrested for not moderating cheese pizza on Telegram? That's what I heard on the news and on X.
That I do not know fren, but if so I hope they get the info on who was posting it. Even if it traces all the way up to some agencies...
