Vance absolutely mopped the floor with Walz. So much so that I almost felt bad for the guy. Great performance.
The big thing about Vance is that he nailed Harris and Walz to the wall. He made SURE to firmly pin the shitty state of our country on Harris which is what Trump should have done more of last time.
If you are concerned you know you have no choice but to vote trump. At this point when I hear someone speak as though they still assessing who to vote for as if there is some wisdom being applied, I know theybare full of shit and there is no critical thinking present. Walz showed his true colors during the Democratic convention, when he effectively manhandled his own son. Imagine how much worse he is when nobody is looking. At least he managed his flamboyance for the debate, but I would never allow a child near him. He is definitely Obama/Biden material. But he peddles JOY!

Definitely looking forward to hearing anyone's thoughts about the Debate. I thought it was an excellent display of composure on the part of Vance. Walz came across as very... whiny? Seemed to be pleading with viewers to agree with him.

When asked about the school shootings/mental health issue, I was hoping for the ‘dismantle the CIA’ response but I guess it’s a little early into the Storm for that.
Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised at how Vance was able to frame his replies in a way that would be palatable to normies.

WH's in charge of cameras?? We had consistent bald head shots of Walz and well-placed side-eye glances from Vance. Body language was fun to watch.
I did appreciate that they were both were well-mannered and polite.
I don't think I've ever seen a politician debate as smooth as Vance. Very impressive. To be honest, his speeches I've watched were kind of boring but Vance in debate-mode was very interesting and a joy to watch.

JD killed it. I am so proud and impressed I can’t sleep. Almost felt sorry for Walz because he was so completely utterly outclassed. Almost. Found it interesting that they referred to the “Kamala” administration. I don’t think I heard the name of the Resident even once.

I would say the moderators were much better than expected considering the territory.
I agree. I think part of the moderators being better was when Vance immediately called them out for fact checking.
He went further but they cut Vance's mic in horror as he obliterated the mods.
I think that was a moment where the mods basically said to Tim, you're on your own.
There were many times after that when Tim looked at the mods for them to throw in the towel and save him and they remained silent.

It wasn't about attacking Walz, it was attacking Kamala. And Vance did it masterfully. He kept tying her to everything that is messed up on the border and the economy and shutting down all of her false promises of hope with "she's in office now, why doesn't she do anything?"
He NAILED IT... what a diplomatic and enthusiastic candidate!!! He really was able to get his points across well
Vance did great. However, I wish he would have mentioned the flaws in the Senate border bill S4361 that Walz kept praising. Republicans liked the House Bill HR2, which actually tightened border security. Democrats wouldn't vote for that bill. The Senate Bill weakens border security over all. It funds the transportation of migrants to our cities and expedites processing into our country. It also provided more money for Ukraine. The details of the bill need to be explained every time Kamala and Walz accuse Trump of squashing it just to keep his talking point.
Also, I was surprised Vance didn't debunk the Project 2025 connection to Trump.
I wish politicians would quote statistics about lives saved because guns deter crime. The lives saved are bigger than lives lost.
The part that made me sick was the accusation that Trump asking Pence to send the 2020 election back to Congress was illegal. This would have been a perfect time for Vance to quote the Electoral Act and finally get normies to understand that contesting states, showing evidence for 2 hours per state, then sending the matter back to Congress WAS the legal remedy. The democrats benefited when the session was halted. Pelosi called the special session in which she did not allow any states to be contested or any evidence shown. Trump's supporters were there to show their congressmembers that we wanted them to contest the stolen states. The riot started immediately after AZ was contested and ruined our Constitutional path to remedy. I wish Vance had mentioned all of this.
About the accusations that Trump tried to overturn the election, I wish Vance would have mentioned that Trump is being prosecuted for that phonecall with Raffensberger, but Trump was reading straight off an audit of SOS's website, listing the tens of thousands of illegal registrations. I do realize he cannot bring up all the evidence of voter fraud. I would have loved to hear this much at least, and maybe quote the law allowing an alternate slate of electors.
I wish he would have mentioned the voter registration conflicts in AZ. On the leaked phone call, Hobbs and the AG stated the inaccurate registrations do make the 2020 and 2022 elections contestible. Yet, the AG is prosecuting election officials for doing their jobs (deciding whether or not to certify the election).
I do think he could have brought up how all democrats voted against the bill that would have required proof of citizenship to register to vote. They also sue to prevent states from trying to clean up the voter rolls. Why? And CA just passed the law prohibiting election workers to require ID from the voters. I would have loved to hear Walz answer to those democrats policies.
Over all, though, Vance had a great debate. He showed us his likeable, compassionate side and made a lot of sense. He showed wisdom and leadership while still being kind and humble.

It is common for politicians to launch into diatribes and platitudes after being asked a question. I appreciated that Vance, while doing this, with haste brought it back to the question being asked, and stated directly, that he would answer the question. Obvious strategy to point out that Walz was not answering the questions.
Vance set the tone for the entire debate. Trump and vances personalities actually cover all the bases of what people who focus on personality want. For those who don't like trump soley for personalities sake now can have confidence that after trumps 4 years we have a candidate they can't complain about on that ridiculous point. Those who like trumps direct approach can have confidence Vance understands what is at stake in the coming 20 year period of recovery. As for me trump.is the first guy who kept his word when elected in my 63 years. It should help those who are still shallow about such things have a little more confide.ce in voting for trump. The need to do this in the first place is due to some people's incredible inability to really see what is at stake. I still hear people claiming the economy is good. You have to be completely numb in the brain to think that.
