I really hate it when you get these delusions of grandeur, and think you can just go out and shop/take sovereign land. We are a small country, but we have patriotism and pride as well, and we don't like it when our allies and friends act like they own the world and think they can just bully us to give up land.

Actually, it was more of a vent than in jest. Don't worry, I'm over it, I just felt a little offended that many seem to take it for granted, that the US can just bully a small sovereign nation to sell off land.
BTW, i was talking about Greenland, which is Danish, not Colony X, which I don't really know anything about...
That was my point - Colony X is a made up thing -it doesn't exist - just like Greenland as a part of the US.
A few years back when America made (another) attempt to buy Greenland from Denmark.
There was a joke at the time that someone should buy America from Israel.

No, do you mean Danish East India Company? What does that have to do with Greenland?
I’ve had this suspicion that part of our unhinged immigration in the U.S. is from a debt settlement Trump negotiated, which none of his supporters would like, but it’s just one of those things that has to be done.
If Greenland becomes part of the U.S., there is a very good chance it was part of a different negotiation that happened behind the scenes, not bullying.
There are also claims floating around that part of where we got screwed up was from the Hanseatic League, which while probably not Danish per se, was Dane-based. Point being, pretty much every country has their hand in this mess to some degree or another, whether through aggression or corruption, and WWG1WGA and MEGA would also mean we are all going to have to have a hand in fixing it.
You do have my sympathetic updoot, and also nothing is settled or certain yet, let’s see where we go.
