I have popped in a big pot with coconut oil --- with sugar added. Gives that kettle-corn taste.
Beef Tallow is the new coconut oil. Makes for some meaty popcorn

I'll have to try it ------ coconut oil has a natural buttery favor and a high enough flash point for popcorn.
