The Bible bans witchcraft, says it isn't good to get inebriated all the time because it leads to suffering and doing things you otherwise wouldn't do if you were clear headed, but it also says She gave us all the fruit and seed bearing plants to use. That would include psychedelics like ayahuasca, psyllicibin mushrooms, peyote, and all the other naturally occuring psychedelics. Which, by the way, there's at least 50 different vegetable and fruit varieties that have naturally occuring DMT. Your brain produces DMT in small quantities, as well. It's believed to be the substance that allows you to dream during REM sleep and also helps your conscious mind prepare for death at the end of your life.

I highly doubt God would give these substances if He didn't want us using them. If any thing, psychedelics allow us to become more at one with ourselves AND with God. This has been my experience with using them.

I personally would avoid any psychedelics or drugs or weird stuff like that.. but that's just me. I don't even take tylenol.

I think being sober, fasting which lead to being in Ketosis is my form of psychedelic..i'm able to do great things, concentrate, become patient, think clearly, remove anxiety depression etc and be able to dig deep into myself.

Too often, the Uninitiated conflate the topic of psychedelic therapy with that of the recreational use of psychedelic drugs. I don't state this to chastise, but merely to state a matter of fact with which to set the table here.

Some of us have been so WRECKED by Life that we reached out to something that is unlawful yet powerful to restore a person to the psychological state that enjoyed before experiencing emotional trauma. I speak as someone whose soul was saved by faith in Christ in 2003, and one who was healed beyond my wildest hopes and dreams during my first MDMA therapeutic session.

MDMA therapy has cleared Phase 3 trials here in the U.S., and has lingered in Phase 4 for something like two years. Clearing Phase 3 = safe and effective. Phase 4 is the marketing phase. So why hasn't it yet been cleared for Americans to use? My own experience in 2020 has some light to shed there.

Not only did MDMA therapy erase my depression and anxiety, not only did it make a huge dent in my C-PTSD, but it also cured me of my zeal to convert others to Christianity and my conservative positions. Before, I was an ideological zealot. After, I could respect why others landed where they did w/o feeling like it was my responsibility to turn them to conservatism. Same w/ Christianity. Ironically and surprisingly, both my walk as a Christian and my ability to have a rational conversation w/ people who believed differently from me SKYROCKETED as a result. And whereas before I felt guilt when I didn't speak to people (including strangers) about God or politics, I now had a freedom to listen to my intuition first to determine if this person is open to going there or not. In short, I could "Love my neighbor as myself" like never before.

If hurting people are allowed access to these medicines, minds will open to the truth of God, the truth of their enemy (Satan), and so much more, including their ability to see far more clearly the difference between those who desire to control them and those who wish for them to live and think freely.

In the proper setting, with the proper set (intention), MDMA therapy and Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) therapy have the potential of ENDING depression, anxiety, and PTSD for hurting people everywhere.

Remember the world we know is a world corrupted by sin, when God made the world it wasn't corrupt. Not everything is fit for human consumption there are many poisonous plants so saying that God made everything for us to eat is simply not true. Would you go eating poison ivy, nor nightshade or drink tea made of oleander, the list goes on. If these are being used to help people that's fine but practice wisdom. Right now part of the problem with the medical profession is that they throw drugs at everything instead of treating the actual problem. If you are a Christian turn to God first and ask His guidance. It's what got me through the things of my past, but we all have our own walk to walk. I'm not going to tell anyone else what to do.

Christians should do what God leads them to do. It is written let the poor man have his wine. All healing is of God however it shows up.

I'll give my two cents as a God loving, but non-religious patriot on a overlapping subject; Cannabis and The Bible... I notice that on the first page, it basically says God made all plants and animals for our benefit and saw that it was Good. It doesn't seem to mention fungi, but we can assume they may have considered a mushroom a "plant." Did God make a mistake when he created Cannabis? Of course not. I presume the same can be said of mushrooms and toads.

The answer is simple - just look to Genesis 1:12. It is pretty clear "And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."

I am aware of the research into psychedelics and mental illness/PTSD but I still believe that Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT Tapping is the solution. This has been used successfully in Africa to victims of the many ethnic cleansings where children saw their family killed or tortured. I was happy when they used cannabidiol with no THC for seizures...it seemed to really help...however these are drugs with side effects whereas with tapping there are no side effects. There are so many treatments that need to be studied and made available to the public...but safety should ALWAYS be an issue.

No, that's not the reason for opposing psychedelics (or even just plain old getting drunk on alcohol).

The reason is that you have to be in a rational state to make good choices. Deliberately putting yourself in a drugged state where you might do evil--e.g. by getting drunk or high--is deliberate cooperation with doing evil.

Negative, these plants are a gateway to the occult and could let evil come to you. I speak as one who was badly fucked up by these plants, they gave me a 30 year psychosis.

Satan in the guise of the medical profession is opening a door for us to walk through with these plants, the psychiatrists and psychologists like these as its a new revenue stream for them and with it the promise of more status and power.

Anyone who believes they can see God while tripping is wrong, all they can experience is the spirit of the plant.

Before I was a Christian, I tried psychedelics extensively: cannabis, LSD, Amanitas, Salvia Divinorum, and Ayahuasca. After getting saved, I can say with total certainty that psychedelics are completely demonic. The people who were around me during these experiences had all sorts of encounters with entities such as "the serpent spirit" or "the mantis spirit". For some reason, (which I now know to be the grace of God), I was shielded from making direct contact with the evil spirits, but I heard their voices several times. I later did make direct contact with the demons while practicing Vipassana meditation, but that's another story.

If you want to know specifically how psychedelics work from a spiritual perspective, it's like this. Every person's soul has a gateway into the spiritual dimension (this is the "tunnel" that people experience when breaking through on DMT). However, that gateway was designed by God to let only Jesus Christ of Nazareth through, for a person who has chosen to repent of their sins and believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. That's what it means in Revelation when Jesus says, "I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Psychedelic drugs basically rip that door open to the realm of wicked fallen angels and illegal entities. Because they were formerly angels of God, they can present themselves as beautiful and powerful "ascended masters", and have such spiritual potency that it can easily feel like you are merging with some kind of "universal superconsciousness." But the Bible is very clear: "Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

I love it when people tell me about an experience they've never had. That's like claiming you know know what a bottle of wine tastes like by judging the color of glass, label, cork, etc. I've had life changing, massive increases in personal healing from having experienced ayahuasca, 5meodmt, mushrooms, & kambo. I didn't believe in God until a mushroom experience it changed my lifr and I started loving myself for the first time. Pretty good bang for my buck on a Friday night. I am forever changed. The compounds all help kill your ego and bring in more love and benevolent perspective.

Christian bible new Testament greek word = Pharmakea. English word pharmacist derived from this. Pharmacist is good, Pharmakea is about using mind altering substances to seek spiritual connections in different realm of consciousness. The word also falls under the term "Sorcery"

Some very preliminary small tests. Seem to indicate psychedelics can also be used to treat stuttering, and alleviate some of the symptoms/traits of severe Autism in adults.

From an explicitly Christian perspective? I don’t necessarily see an issue with it. Provided you do it in controlled circumstances.

You would also need to keep in mind that many definitions we use today for defining what is and isn’t Christian outside those explicitly stated in the Bible. Were more or less set by the people who’d benefit from restricting access to certain things.

The Game of Thrones of Church politics was well underway by the time the Church began to organize into a cohesive whole. Especially when they began deciding the Canonical Books of the Bible and differentiating between Biblical Canon and Apocrypha. And undoubtedly various Kings, Politicians, Merchants, Emperors, and monied interests have seen fit to influence various councils and meetings of Church Leaders over the years. And all we really have to go is their word that they included everything. If they didn’t. Well it wouldn’t technically break any of Gods Laws regarding the Bible. As it still is the word of God. As they didn’t change it. It’s just not all of it. Which allows the twisting of what we do have. As we lack the additional texts that add context and clarity.

Disregarding any conspiracy at the moment. A good example is the fact many modern Christian Denominations disagree on the exact content of the official Bible.

Most Protestant Denominations recognize 66 books of the Bible.

Catholics recognize 73.

Ethiopian Church 88.

Orthodox Church 81. Though regional and cultural quirks means the number various regional churches recognize can vary somewhat. Sometimes even on a scale of town by town. But generally the Orthodox Churches recognize 81.

So on and so forth. With numbers and content sometimes varying by denomination.

So who’s right? There’s behaviors frowned upon or explicitly condemned in some denominations. That are accepted in others.

Hell. The whole reason the Puritans fled to the U.S was because they kept annoying and pissing off everyone who wasn’t Puritan. With dogmatic and strict views that forbid many things other Christian denominations didn’t have an issue with.

The use of hallucinogens for PTSD , depression, anxiety and other mental issues is always in microdosage. No one is getting high and any help that is provided I'm sure jesus will forgive

There are documented instances in the Bible, of visions that may have been influenced by psychedelics. Most famous of these is the burning bush:

Exodus 3:2-5 KJV: And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

I believe Moses saw an aura. Some bushes and trees have them, and some people can see them, even without psychedelics. Apparently, Acacia is one of those plants.
