RFK Jr. is going to open up psychedelics as a medical option, I believe this is his intention for depression, PTSD, etc.
We know the deep state has kept it illegal for some reason, probably $$.
For veterans who have treated their PTSD, I've read and listened to incredible results.
Ibogaine has shown great promise for vets, as well as mushrooms, and other psychedelics. Ibogaine is being used in Mexico and Canada for addiction, PTSD for vets and people, and addiction in general.
I keep hearing from Christians that psychedelics is opening yourself up to the spiritual realm and that it is absolutely forbidden by God.
To our bible scholars and strong Christians here, is this true?
This issue is very confusing to me because I believe God made these plants and natural medicines, it's HOW we use them that matters. If it can help so many people, and God made it, isn't it legal to use if not being used in a demonic way?
OR
Is this deception- Is this Satan trying to open a door into us with a promise to "heal" our worries, mental health, and even physical health- but is really Pharmakeia aka "witchcraft"?
Should Christians be open to using psychedelics to heal from trauma, addiction, PTSD, and depression?
Scripture references would be great if you have them, but would love to hear your opinions on it.
If you don't believe in God, you haven't had enough mushrooms.
I think that's kind of funny. Not sure. Updoot anyway! 😂
it's a pretty solid statement. they open your mind in unexpected ways.
The Bible bans witchcraft, says it isn't good to get inebriated all the time because it leads to suffering and doing things you otherwise wouldn't do if you were clear headed, but it also says She gave us all the fruit and seed bearing plants to use. That would include psychedelics like ayahuasca, psyllicibin mushrooms, peyote, and all the other naturally occuring psychedelics. Which, by the way, there's at least 50 different vegetable and fruit varieties that have naturally occuring DMT. Your brain produces DMT in small quantities, as well. It's believed to be the substance that allows you to dream during REM sleep and also helps your conscious mind prepare for death at the end of your life.
I highly doubt God would give these substances if He didn't want us using them. If any thing, psychedelics allow us to become more at one with ourselves AND with God. This has been my experience with using them.
I personally would avoid any psychedelics or drugs or weird stuff like that.. but that's just me. I don't even take tylenol.
I think being sober, fasting which lead to being in Ketosis is my form of psychedelic..i'm able to do great things, concentrate, become patient, think clearly, remove anxiety depression etc and be able to dig deep into myself.
I agree with keeping a clear head. I don't want to meet God all messed up on dope, I have enough to answer for as it is
Hee hee!! 😁👍
What if some people's heads are not clear due to trauma, PTSD, and addiction?
The biggest problem with most medical treatments is the idea that one size fits all. Everyone has unique situations and conditions and need to find what works for them. I'm pretty sure God knows who's head is not working at optimal performance and compensates accordingly
Too often, the Uninitiated conflate the topic of psychedelic therapy with that of the recreational use of psychedelic drugs. I don't state this to chastise, but merely to state a matter of fact with which to set the table here.
Some of us have been so WRECKED by Life that we reached out to something that is unlawful yet powerful to restore a person to the psychological state that enjoyed before experiencing emotional trauma. I speak as someone whose soul was saved by faith in Christ in 2003, and one who was healed beyond my wildest hopes and dreams during my first MDMA therapeutic session.
MDMA therapy has cleared Phase 3 trials here in the U.S., and has lingered in Phase 4 for something like two years. Clearing Phase 3 = safe and effective. Phase 4 is the marketing phase. So why hasn't it yet been cleared for Americans to use? My own experience in 2020 has some light to shed there.
Not only did MDMA therapy erase my depression and anxiety, not only did it make a huge dent in my C-PTSD, but it also cured me of my zeal to convert others to Christianity and my conservative positions. Before, I was an ideological zealot. After, I could respect why others landed where they did w/o feeling like it was my responsibility to turn them to conservatism. Same w/ Christianity. Ironically and surprisingly, both my walk as a Christian and my ability to have a rational conversation w/ people who believed differently from me SKYROCKETED as a result. And whereas before I felt guilt when I didn't speak to people (including strangers) about God or politics, I now had a freedom to listen to my intuition first to determine if this person is open to going there or not. In short, I could "Love my neighbor as myself" like never before.
If hurting people are allowed access to these medicines, minds will open to the truth of God, the truth of their enemy (Satan), and so much more, including their ability to see far more clearly the difference between those who desire to control them and those who wish for them to live and think freely.
Please read "Trust, Surrender, Receive: How MDMA Can Release Us from Trauma and PTSD" and visit maps.org to learn more, including the fact that MDMA and mushrooms were used in the 70s with great success right up until Nancy Reagan lumped these substances in w/ illicit street drugs.
In the proper setting, with the proper set (intention), MDMA therapy and Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) therapy have the potential of ENDING depression, anxiety, and PTSD for hurting people everywhere.
Great comment, and may God continue to bless you.
I've read many testimonials like yours, is why I asked this question.
I know there are risks. Some people really do not handle this stuff well. But I do feel like intention and done professionally, being used to heal ptsd and other mental disorders, there's nothing I've seen that does it better than these medicines.
From a Christian perspective, I've been wondering what the red line is. I know these plants are messing with the "veil' so to speak. But if it is healing people, isn't that the hand of God helping us?
I'm glad you found healing.
I sensed in your question an honest-to-goodness effort to better understand if we Christians are allowed to go there, and I'm glad to engage this topic w/ you.
Brain scans can show improvements w/ one's neurology (physical brain) after just one psychedelic therapy session. So long as it's viewed as medicine, and the intent is to heal from trauma, it's my fervent belief that we're allowed.
Some go back to the medicine on an annual basis (or more often than that) simply to get back to center. Why? Because life in this broken world is hard. Personally, I believe we wouldn't know of the life-changing properties of MDMA and psilocybin and the others used in psychedelic therapy unless God intended for us to know what an enormous blessing they can be.
Life is hard. But God provides.
I know this can help a lot of people, including myself as I have ptsd from childhood trauma.
I'm also a Christian and have tried prayer, commitment, etc. But I do keep hearing that this is entering the spiritual realm illegally, which is dangerous.
But with all of this research and that God created this plant, it's hard for me to believe there is wrongdoing if the desire is to improve your mental health, heal from trauma, addiction, etc.
It's when it becomes demonic and trying to contact spirits is where I can see the wrongdoing. But for the trauma therapy, getting inside ones' subconscious, is something I am leaning toward not being wrong.
Thank you for the details. I am glad you've improved your life. I'm considering ibogaine for my own issues, but nervous and fearful. Been praying about it a lot lately, still not sure.
Remember the world we know is a world corrupted by sin, when God made the world it wasn't corrupt. Not everything is fit for human consumption there are many poisonous plants so saying that God made everything for us to eat is simply not true. Would you go eating poison ivy, nor nightshade or drink tea made of oleander, the list goes on. If these are being used to help people that's fine but practice wisdom. Right now part of the problem with the medical profession is that they throw drugs at everything instead of treating the actual problem. If you are a Christian turn to God first and ask His guidance. It's what got me through the things of my past, but we all have our own walk to walk. I'm not going to tell anyone else what to do.
everything in moderation. Just like wine.
Christians should do what God leads them to do. It is written let the poor man have his wine. All healing is of God however it shows up.
I'll give my two cents as a God loving, but non-religious patriot on a overlapping subject; Cannabis and The Bible... I notice that on the first page, it basically says God made all plants and animals for our benefit and saw that it was Good. It doesn't seem to mention fungi, but we can assume they may have considered a mushroom a "plant." Did God make a mistake when he created Cannabis? Of course not. I presume the same can be said of mushrooms and toads.
This. All the plants are for our benefit and use. Using them wisely is another question - don't abuse the "privilege"!
The answer is simple - just look to Genesis 1:12. It is pretty clear "And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good."
No, that's not the reason for opposing psychedelics (or even just plain old getting drunk on alcohol).
The reason is that you have to be in a rational state to make good choices. Deliberately putting yourself in a drugged state where you might do evil--e.g. by getting drunk or high--is deliberate cooperation with doing evil.
Negative, these plants are a gateway to the occult and could let evil come to you. I speak as one who was badly fucked up by these plants, they gave me a 30 year psychosis.
Satan in the guise of the medical profession is opening a door for us to walk through with these plants, the psychiatrists and psychologists like these as its a new revenue stream for them and with it the promise of more status and power.
Anyone who believes they can see God while tripping is wrong, all they can experience is the spirit of the plant.
What if your intention is to counter PTSD, abuse, or war time trauma?
Not to go meet with spirits and mingle with the demons, but to see inside of your subconscious to analyze your life and find closure?
How did it mess you up? Sry this happened to you.
Before I was a Christian, I tried psychedelics extensively: cannabis, LSD, Amanitas, Salvia Divinorum, and Ayahuasca. After getting saved, I can say with total certainty that psychedelics are completely demonic. The people who were around me during these experiences had all sorts of encounters with entities such as "the serpent spirit" or "the mantis spirit". For some reason, (which I now know to be the grace of God), I was shielded from making direct contact with the evil spirits, but I heard their voices several times. I later did make direct contact with the demons while practicing Vipassana meditation, but that's another story.
If you want to know specifically how psychedelics work from a spiritual perspective, it's like this. Every person's soul has a gateway into the spiritual dimension (this is the "tunnel" that people experience when breaking through on DMT). However, that gateway was designed by God to let only Jesus Christ of Nazareth through, for a person who has chosen to repent of their sins and believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. That's what it means in Revelation when Jesus says, "I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."
Psychedelic drugs basically rip that door open to the realm of wicked fallen angels and illegal entities. Because they were formerly angels of God, they can present themselves as beautiful and powerful "ascended masters", and have such spiritual potency that it can easily feel like you are merging with some kind of "universal superconsciousness." But the Bible is very clear: "Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."
I get that they can be used in demonic ways.
But I also hear it has lead people to Christ.
What I'm most intrigued is that it is healing people of PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, etc.
If used with the intention for therapeutic purposes, you still disagree with it's use? What if we are already saved and trying to heal? Veterans who have PTSD or those with severe addictions?
You can watch this video of a guy who tried doing mushrooms after getting saved: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BmqCZMLjEE
From a spiritual perspective, using psychedelics to get healing from spiritual or mental disorders is like trying to break and enter into a rich man's house to take his belongings. When in fact, that same rich man has already promised all his riches to everyone who decides to be adopted into his family. The rich man is God, and the choosing to be adopted is believing in Jesus. This is what Jesus means when He said, "He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."
From firsthand experience, I can tell you that most of the people who try psychedelics to get healing do not end up encountering Jesus Christ the Lord. Most of the time, they encounter machine elves (aka demons), serpentine or animal spirits (aka demons), "universal superconsciousness" (aka the mind of Satan), aliens (aka demons), or "ascended masters" (aka demons).
I know intention is the most important as I know this is not a game.
But there is certainly subconscious activity going on in someone's mind that the typical individual cannot access.
I've heard many who've gone to church, tried everything they could with the lord, and didn't see results. Psychedelics helped them access something in their subconscious to work out these problems. How do we define something like this?
I know Satan has used drugs to corrupt humanity. But could it also be possible that God has also released plant medicine to help combat addiction and ptsd for those who cannot otherwise access healing by other means?
If you're going in there to talk to spirits and demons, sure, that is incredibly dangerous. But to go in to try to look into your subconscious mind to work out whatever is going on seems to be where the healing takes place.
Many do psychedelics to help them with addictions. Then they stop drugs. Is this what Satan or God wants?
I don't pretend to know the answers to these questions, but I find it very intriguing. Obviously, idolizing these plants should not be done.
I am not talking about doing psychedelics recreationally. I'm talking about doing them specifically to heal with the intention to heal from trauma, ptsd, addiction, etc. I know God can do anything. But can't he heal through these medicines?
When you boil fresh psylisibin it turns the water dark purple
Cool, never knew this. What's the significance?
Water to wine?
I love it when people tell me about an experience they've never had. That's like claiming you know know what a bottle of wine tastes like by judging the color of glass, label, cork, etc. I've had life changing, massive increases in personal healing from having experienced ayahuasca, 5meodmt, mushrooms, & kambo. I didn't believe in God until a mushroom experience it changed my lifr and I started loving myself for the first time. Pretty good bang for my buck on a Friday night. I am forever changed. The compounds all help kill your ego and bring in more love and benevolent perspective.
Christian bible new Testament greek word = Pharmakea. English word pharmacist derived from this. Pharmacist is good, Pharmakea is about using mind altering substances to seek spiritual connections in different realm of consciousness. The word also falls under the term "Sorcery"
I saved this post because I wanted to make a clear and concise comment about it and I just didn’t have time.
As a Christian, I do ketamine infusions for depression. It is an anesthetic, but can give you psychedelic tendencies when doing a treatment. After spending most of my life suicidal, and basically miserable… The Lord finally brought me to this place where I was able to try the ketamine infusion for depression. I can say unequivocally, my entire life has changed. I can function like a normal human, complete tasks, and participate in society pretty well. I’m so grateful for the Lord, bringing this into my life, and having the ability to basically not want to kill myself every single day of my life. These treatments have not only changed my life, but for people around me like my friends, my family and my mother in particular. We have such a better relationship now, that I can think more clearly and I’m not defeated every day. I must add that I don’t believe that the ketamine infusions would help, had I not returned to my faith in Christ, and started walking with Him at the same time. The ketamine treatments alone are not the end all, however, I continue to go to church, Womens Bible Study’s, and other Bible Study’s just to renew my mind in Christ and walk in Him. I also see my psychologist and psychiatrist and do the work to continue to better myself. I’ve been able to get off all of my psych meds, and I’m living my best life.
That being said… the ketamine infusions do put you into an altered state, and I would not recommend anybody who it does not have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior to do these treatments. I know as a Christian and I cannot be possessed by an evil spirit, and when I do my treatments, I listen to worship music. I spend my treatments, focusing on the Lord, interacting with Him, and allowing God to take me where he wants me to go with my focus completely on Him. Since the ketamine is basically creating new neurotransmitters, I would like them to be built on something solid and something positive. When I first started, I would just listen to some type of music without words, and then also have a visual video of turtles in the ocean or something like that. I always have an idea of what I want to imprint on, and in the beginning, I would just pick a positive word, and then I move to scriptures, etc… One last thing, after your treatment, you should be careful of what type of activities you do, what you’re watching what you’re thinking and who you’re interacting with. Do you want your treatment to be worth your while, and not have somebody else come in and steal your joy and your new neurotransmitters with positive thoughts.
I highly recommend this treatment to anybody out there who is saved, but I would not recommend it to somebody who is not. There are many things in life that we can do to allow satan to come into our lives, dabbling in the occult, what type of movies you watch, and what type of music you listen to. I know there is evil in the world, and I wouldn’t doubt that being in a suggestive state that satan would send his emissary to thwart the treatments.
I’ve been doing this for at least four years, and I pay cash for everything. There are some insurance companies that are starting to cover this, but it’s cheaper for me to just pay cash. But… I’m kind of a success at this facility, so they give me a discounted rate because I’m on disability.
If somebody is serious about wanting to get help with their treatment resistant depression. I suggest the Andrew Huberman podcast regarding ketamine infusions for depression. It’s a good start at least.

If anybody has any questions about this? Let me know. I know this is an older post so my comment might not be seen but at least you will see it OP.
God bless and have a great day 🙏
Well they also say the same crap about meditation. When the “smoke of Satan” has entered the church, not sure they have any moral authority to say anything anymore. They need to stop gatekeeping
If it’s natural I would think about trying it.
Some very preliminary small tests. Seem to indicate psychedelics can also be used to treat stuttering, and alleviate some of the symptoms/traits of severe Autism in adults.
From an explicitly Christian perspective? I don’t necessarily see an issue with it. Provided you do it in controlled circumstances.
You would also need to keep in mind that many definitions we use today for defining what is and isn’t Christian outside those explicitly stated in the Bible. Were more or less set by the people who’d benefit from restricting access to certain things.
The Game of Thrones of Church politics was well underway by the time the Church began to organize into a cohesive whole. Especially when they began deciding the Canonical Books of the Bible and differentiating between Biblical Canon and Apocrypha. And undoubtedly various Kings, Politicians, Merchants, Emperors, and monied interests have seen fit to influence various councils and meetings of Church Leaders over the years. And hasn’t stopped ever since. Even as the church broke into its countless denominations
And all we really have to go is their word that they included everything. If they didn’t. Well it wouldn’t technically break any of Gods Laws regarding the Bible. As it still is the word of God. As they didn’t change it. It’s just not all of it. Which allows the twisting of what we do have. As we lack the additional texts that add context and clarity.
Disregarding any conspiracy at the moment. A good example is the fact many modern Christian Denominations disagree on the exact content of the official Bible.
Most Protestant Denominations recognize 66 books of the Bible.
Catholics recognize 73.
Ethiopian Church 88.
Orthodox Church 81. Though regional and cultural quirks means the number various regional churches recognize can vary somewhat. Sometimes even on a scale of town by town. But generally the Orthodox Churches recognize 81.
So on and so forth. With numbers and content sometimes varying by denomination.
So who’s right? There’s behaviors frowned upon or explicitly condemned in some denominations. That are accepted in others.
Hell. The whole reason the Puritans fled to the U.S was because they kept annoying and pissing off everyone who wasn’t Puritan. With dogmatic and strict views that forbid many things other Christian denominations didn’t have an issue with.
The use of hallucinogens for PTSD , depression, anxiety and other mental issues is always in microdosage. No one is getting high and any help that is provided I'm sure jesus will forgive
I'm a deliverance minister, I literally cast out demons from people. Drugs give a person illegal access to the spirit world, and it creates an open doorway for spirits to enter you, and your life. I heard someone say that drugs such as mushrooms are a physical representation of the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge.
Oppression/demonization isn't guaranteed every time you take drugs, but eventually, you will catch something. If you leave the door to your house open long enough, eventually rodents will enter your house.
I just recently helped someone who was addicted to smoking marijuana and cigarettes everyday. Yes, there are spirits associated with drugs and addictions.
There are documented instances in the Bible, of visions that may have been influenced by psychedelics. Most famous of these is the burning bush:
I believe Moses saw an aura. Some bushes and trees have them, and some people can see them, even without psychedelics. Apparently, Acacia is one of those plants.
OP needs to do a search on those weak and even stain glass art and frescos which show mushrooms at the feet of Adam and Even. Many religious stain glass art on old European churches have mushrooms hidden in the artistic depictions.

Noice
He was also known to be in communication with God when smoke was eminating from his tabernacle. In otherwords he was hot boxing ancient egyptian hash in his tent and trippin with the lord gettin baked outa his gord.
'Tripping with the Lord' kek.
Cool. I wanna try that. All of it, the sand between my toes, the flapping tent, the view of sand-dunes - which are groaning gently, and occasionally breathing a little sand on the tent-flaps, the stories over the camp-fire, and the roast goat-meat with super sweet tea - tough and savory then sweet and minty. Oh, and the tabernacle-bit too. I want some Rose/Damascus incense.
That's an interpretative leap. Ain't gonna complain about it, but ... there's room for other interpretations that don't involve hashish.
I can see them in healthy trees sometimes
yes
