Haha. Oh yes, we have always required voterID as well, even though it was reported as not so in many alternative media. It's like saying all the illegal guns that come from the US and end up in the hands of criminals is your fault. It's our responsibility to not let them in and we are failing. What free money are we getting? I keep hearing this, not sure what it's referring to.

Agree on the military thing for sure. Does that cost the US though? We give so many corporate handouts are you saying the US gives our industries cash too? Why?
We are only 40 million people, 50 billion trade deficit doesn't seem unreasonable. Are we expected to maintain surplus?
This isn't Canadians taking the money from you, it's the same system we are all fighting against. Our tax dollars are being stolen by the same people.

It's no secret that big government has a habit of pickin' winners and losers, and that's somethin' we oughta put a stop to.

I understand how you might feel. However, fair trade is 1 for 1.

Here are just some historic tariffs Canada hits America with.

Milk: 270% Cheese: 245% Butter: 298% Chicken: 238% Sausages: 69.9% Barley seed: 57.8% Bovine/meat: 26.5% Cars: 25% HVAC: 45% Vacuums: 35% Cable boxes: 35% TVs: 45% Steel: 25% Aluminum: 45% Copper: 48%

Their are other thing like the support of NATO. Did you know that Canada only gives 1.38% of their GDP to NATO? While the U.S. gives 3.49% of GDP. I think that you would agree that the U.S. should not be carrying the burden alone.

Much of what the U.S. spends on R&D for pharmaceuticals, Canada directly benefits from, except they do not have to pay anything to get these drugs to the market.

I saw those tariffs on dairy in a post on here. That was pretty crazy but I think the motivation for that was that we did not want the hormones antibiotics etc. that come in us milk. Its awful the way we pour thousands of litres of milk down the drain. But what tariffs were charged the other way historically? I am having trouble finding info on that. Surely the UShas tariffed us in the past. Softwood lumber for instance. So NATO. Canada's military used to be fantastic and it should be one of the best in the world again but to me NATO seems like a giant protection racquet. Wasn't part of the plan to dismantle NATO? I would like to see a huge spend on equipment immediately and fully support 2% requirement, I'd like to see even 3-5 at least in the short term and scale it back once we got set up. Most Canadians support increased military spending,JT has been dragging his heels to keep us weak. Remember the Avro Arrow? Imagine if we were allowed to keep that and the attitude of our military was still so forward thinking. While I find it difficult to have any concerns about not contributing to the pharmaceutical industry, I do see the point. Strange that our medical system does not provide contributions in that regard. In fact, you would think the cabal would demand it. Arent drugs significantly cheaper up here? How do we get the cost breaks? JT made up for it by buying 10 vaccine doses for every Canadian.

Canada's economy has seen considerable ups and downs under Trudeau's administration. The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) has voiced worries regarding Trudeau's approach to spending and taxation. With unprecedented deficits and substantial taxes affecting hardworking citizens, it appears that Trudeau's economic strategy may be facing challenges. I suggest looking into the CTF's reports to better understand the financial struggles Canadians are facing today.

CTF just won in court against the capital gains increase that the criminal CRA was collecting before the bill was passed. I'm living the struggle, fren. He has dug us into a hole my grandkids will be digging out of. My uncle was Director General for the Canadian treasury and he keeps me apprised of the situation. He would have briefed JT as incoming PM. We were doing OK at that time. I can't begin to tell you how pissed he is at the spending/waste that has occurred.

Under Trudeau Canada has not been on our side. They may play pretend but look at the reality. They don’t control the many Chinese nationals entering their country whom eventually end up here in the US through illegal entry at our northern border (which Canada is not keeping secured.) They allow fentanyl bio labs to exist in Canada which further hurts the US, our people annd economy and on top of that we have been given them free subsidies. With “friends” like that who needs enemies? (note that I’m speaking of the corrupt and compromised Canadian/chinese government - not the Canadian people)

Respectfully, we asked you to join us as the 14th colony almost 250 years ago. You decided no, you will side with the British Empire. Since 1958 you have been protected under NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command). Currently, we are upgrading NORAD and somebody seems to not be paying their fair share 🍁. So please spare me that you have been by our side…beside when it is convenient to your government and the UK. Here is some additional information on the current upgrades occurring at NORAD provided by Grok 2.0

The modernization of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has been a significant focus in recent years, driven by evolving threats, especially from advanced missile technologies like hypersonic weapons and long-range cruise missiles. Here's an overview of the key aspects of NORAD's modernization efforts:

Goals and Objectives: Enhanced Surveillance: Upgrade and expand the detection capabilities of the North Warning System (NWS) to better monitor threats from the North, including over-the-horizon radar capabilities for earlier detection of threats. Command, Control, and Communication (C3) Improvements: Modernize the C3 systems to ensure seamless communication and data integration across various platforms, enhancing decision-making speed and accuracy. Aerospace Threat Deterrence and Defeat: Invest in advanced air and missile defense technologies to deter and, if necessary, defeat new threats, including the acquisition of new weapons systems for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and U.S. forces. Arctic Operations: Strengthening capabilities in the Arctic, given its strategic importance and the increasing accessibility due to climate change. Research and Development: Continuous investment in R&D to stay ahead of emerging threats, including advancements in satellite communications and cybersecurity.

Key Projects and Initiatives: Over-the-Horizon Radar: Exploring new radar systems that can detect threats at much greater distances, including in the Arctic. Enhanced Satellite Communication Project – Polar (ESCP-P): Aimed at providing dedicated, secure, and reliable communications for the Canadian North. Project Pathfinder: Using AI to enhance the analysis of data from existing systems like the NWS. Tactical Narrowband Satellite Communication (SATCOM) – Geosynchronous Project: To provide narrowband ultra-high frequency (UHF) SATCOM coverage for almost the entire Earth's surface, excluding the polar regions.

Funding and Timeline: Canada has committed to investing $38.6 billion over 20 years for NORAD modernization, with specific allocations for various projects. The U.S. also significantly contributes to these efforts, given the binational nature of NORAD. Initial phases of these projects, like the upgrade of the Combined Air Operations Centre (CAOC), are set to be completed by 2025, with other projects extending into the late 2020s and beyond.

Challenges and Criticisms: The pace of spending has been criticized as too slow, especially given the urgency of new threats like hypersonic missiles. There have been calls for more transparency and urgency in how funds are being utilized to ensure that modernization keeps pace with technological advancements and potential adversaries' capabilities.

Public Statements and Political Context: Both Canadian and U.S. defense officials have publicly reaffirmed their commitment to NORAD modernization, with joint statements highlighting the importance in the context of global security changes, including Russian and Chinese military developments.

This modernization effort is seen as crucial for maintaining North America's defense posture in an increasingly complex threat environment. For more detailed information or updates, please refer to official government releases or reliable news sources.

Much love my 🍁🐸…

Good info. Thanks fren. While I fully support vastly increased spending for defense in Canada, does it not seem like a mob protection racquet? The US (cabal/globalists) start shit all over the world against (cabal/globalists) other countries creating threats and insecurity then say you must pay us for protection. All wars are bankers wars, isn't that what we learn here? If the cabal is being destroyed, what is the point of these organizations continuing to exist?

USD/MXN Is also up. In a way this is a double edged sword because to people sending money back to Mexico get more pesos in the exchange. We need to tax remittance, and take away their reason for being here.

This. Every person I know in the trades uses these remittances. When they go back to Mexico, because none of them ever intend on staying permanantly, they live like kings. The service desk at Walmart on Friday evenings here in Michigan is packed full of Mexicans using Western Union to send cash home.

True story:

I once drove across a bridge from Vermont into New York early on a Saturday morning. At that time there was a 50 cent toll in that direction. I gave the operator two quarters and start to move when he yelled for me to stop. I back up and he told me since one quarter was Canadian I owed another 5 cents. Surprised, I scrounged up a dime and handed it to him, got my change and went on my way. Going off the west side of the bridge I glanced into my palm. He had given me a Canadian nickel as change!

LOL Living in Detroit most of my life, Canadian coinage is everywhere. Everyone takes them 1:1 and the only place that doesnt is vending machines.

Loonies and Toonies are not in use here though. I always saved them to pay the tolls at the bridge but being back and forth between the two countries a dozen or more times per year (visiting family, just hanging out in Windsor for the day/evening, vacationing in Grand Bend, visiting wifes BFF in the Soo, hunting and fishing expeditions with my brother in law, playing in the odd hockey tourney, on the boat walleye fishing in Lake St Clair/Detroit River, jobbie nooner, taking the kids to the Mustang Drive-In) it was never a problem anyway.

Such ease of access my entire life. And now ya need Real ID or a passport. We havent been to visit my wifes parents since October 2019 for Thanksgiving and I sold the cottage in Grand Bend to my wifes cousin.

I have an idea, might be worth it, might be not. Let’s invite all the truckers and anybody who had their bank accounts frozen during the freedom convoy. Give them a path to citizenship and a medal for their courage. After a round or two of proper vetting, of course, don’t want to see foreign feds getting rewarded. It would also result in a shortage of truckers up there as well. See how quick Castro Jr. rolls back his “retaliatory tariffs” when we’ve essentially blockaded them. We can surely survive without your exports. For example, it’s high time Ford, GM, and all the rest come back to America anyway. The cars made up there and in Mexico have some of the worst engines and transmissions.

I spent the better part of the last six years in Canada and converted between USD and CAD 2-3 times per month, so I'm well aware of the conversion rates. CAD been fluctuating between 20-35% of the USD over the last six years. Its currently at 30% which is not the worst.

This coming week, it will likely drop down to 35% or even 40% because Fidelito is an idiot.

After tariffs were put on China during trumps first admin, the Chinese devalued their currency. Also gave tax breaks to their producers to offset the tariffs.

The result was deflation and prices actually dropped. My CEO at my company wants to tell our customers that we will be seeing substantial price increases due to tariffs concerning the soft wood lumber market. I disagree. I believe Canada will do what China did and we will see a drop in prices.

Plus Canada has a 300 percent tariff on dairy products and other items to protect their domestic industry. Trump wants the same.

My boyfriend is worried about Bombardier snowmobiles getting hit hard because we are the largest customer and he thinks it’s unfair to them. He said Trump should focus on getting John deer and case back in here. I said he is. We got into an argument because he said I think Trump walks on water. I became a vernacular bitch at that point. Lol.

I told him when skidoo exports their products to Europe and other countries tariffs are the norm.

This is fair and equitable.
