Yup, it’s easy to enjoy life when someone else is picking up the tab. Now with Muslims swamping Europe and Trump pulling out, fun times ahead for the EU and NATO. Tariffs flip the script and make Canada, Mexico, and EU Corporations pay to "subsidize" American purchasing power and quality of life. Tariffs are an indirect tax on the bankers who own all the big corporations and get the majority of shareholder profits in the form of dividends. This is why they are so pissed off about the tariff policy.
I have attempted to explain this to our friends that are second generation Americans from Austria. They don’t want to understand. That you have to pay insane amounts for your healthcare has nothing to do with Europeans.

I believe it's almost standard practice in the US for healthcare providers to charge insane amounts of money for standard procedures and then when people ask for a receipt from the healthcare provider, the bill is suddenly lowered substantially.
But even when the bill is lowered these healthcare providers will still charge you 50 dollars for applying a bandaid and that has nothing to do with Europeans.
It's the elites that are bleeding us ALL dry.
Does America provide substantial subsidies for many things, like military defense, allowing shit trade deals to enrich their government via tariffs? So if money is in fact fungible. Who is essentially paying for their plush health care?

Today, many "natives" are three or four generations removed from their homes in the middle east and west asia. The world wars nearly wiped out the male europeans. There are fewer and fewer europeans with any connection to europe's past or any connection to americans whose forefathers were european.

It seems accurate, but it is not just that.
Canada has huge natural resources, which have been both exploited cheaply for decades, but also under leftie governments has been underdeveloped and blocked as much as possible for decades. (and uniparty 'right wing governments' have talked big but sold Canada out just as much in various ways - one big example see the Avro Arrow way back in like the 50s, top fighter plane cancelled by a 'conservative' PM to just go buy planes from the US instead)
Canada, as well as all the commonwealth countries (UK, Australia, New Zealand etc) have been havens of corrupt globalists. The economy and social programs have been corrupted and in taters by design. The Cloward-Piven strategy of overwhelming social programs, esp with immigrants, has been in full swing, and Liberals have been talking UBI - universal basic income, for a while now too. The goal is destruction. And it goes back to at least since WW2.
And just like in the US, politicians and their friends have been stealing money by the billions all this time. The money is there - it is just being sent into scumbag pockets instead of where it is supposed to be going.
As for Europe - outside of like...2 countries? they are global satanic swamps and have been for centuries not just decades. I imagine all the above issues are even more entrenched in those places.
Only once every country in the west can get something like DOGE going for real, can there be a real economy and a real accounting of what can be funded - right now its all grift.
I abhor the cancellation of the Avro Arrow. However, the competing system was not a conventional airplane, but a Mach 3 ramjet-powered pilotless aircraft called the IM-99 BOMARC. Very cool. There's more than enough money to have a good level of social services and a big enough military in first world countries. You don't think that in Europe large amounts of money are taken from the people and then used to enrich the already rich and powerful?
I don't know what the difference is between the EU and the US when it comes to climate spending, but the enormous amounts of money going towards the climate scam in Europe, could also fund a big enough military.
All they need a DOGE and they can still have all their so called "top tier" social services, big enough mil, lower taxes and everything. Rule number one is kick the bums out of office. End the bureaucracy. End the central banks and their fiat money scam that isn't backed by anything.

The globalist dream for all countries was to be dependent on each other and work in harmony. That was the propaganda fed to us in school. What they didn't tell us was that our country was being taken to the cleaners every single time. What surprises me is that we're just now on the brink of bankruptcy. After years of abuse we are only now standing up and saying no more. Globalism is a sham and was always about weakening countries and sucking America dry (we have the constitution plus we're a rich nation ripe for the picking) and bringing her to her knees.

Anyone have a good breakdown on this stuff? He mentioned dairy, and I know Canada charges something like 270% on US dairy products..... BUT THAT SAID, I don't know of anyone who actually imports US dairy for this reason.
So therefore, the tariff is more of an isolationist wall keeping the products out than it is a cash cow. (pun intended. Sorry, it's cheesy, I know)

Let me restate the below about Canada- but also apply to entire Europe.
Think 40,000 ft view....the LEFT always says the "social democracy" of European countries (norway, finland, sweden etc) - provides all the social services to people. And the REASON they say they are able to do so is by TAXING the Elites and taxing all people a fair share, to provide all "national healthcare", welfare and host of other services and quality living conditions.
What they DON'T tell you, but we have now found out, is that:
Why does Europe ban US GMO products and chemicals but US allows them? It's by design. Keep US population dumb enough so the taxpayers don't realize the above theft was going on in broad daylight.
What happens if Trump stops all 3 of the above (US AID, Trade surplus for them, and defense spending on them)...they have to either TAX their population even higher (and they are already paying high taxes) OR cut their social services dramatically.....
And likely, they will choose the latter because people will go insane with >50% taxes. And that's how "social democracy" and "communism" dreams, end for ever.
Is it different for various income levels? I have a friend who keeps telling me how wonderful the health care is in Canada, and her family is considering moving there as they have relatives in Canada.
