No airplane does "earth orbit." The service ceiling for the F-22 is 65,000 feet. For the U-2 it is 80,000 feet. For the SR-71 it is 85,000 feet (or what they will admit).

To do what? A satellite in orbit is like a locomotive on a train track: it can't stop, and it must stick to schedule. And it has only what it packed for lunch. If you want to go after another satellite, that is a very tricky affair.

DoD made an announcement that got almost no notice back in 2019 about this. Trump authorized the development and prototype of the fighter - and the announcement in 2019 was that it had been designed, developed, and testing the prototype since a year before.
No congress pork barrel 'we have to make parts in 35 different states and all get a piece of the pie'. like the F-35 disaster white elephant. Guessing he just went to the air force and said 'what do you need for the best possible wish list plane?...ok go build that in secret'
It was dead silent on this for the last 5 years, no leaks, no mention, no peeps of anything. This thing is probably combat ready and has crazy tech.
The boeing thing is concerning - but we would have to assume I think that as part of the contract is that they have to drop all the fucking DEI shit and only hire merit based good workers. - unlike what they have been doing for who knows how many years now.

If we take the F47 for face value, then this is great news cause it means there is a better fighter jet being made since this 5 year concept was around during bejing bidens illegitimate reign and I am sure china has the complete breakdown of this next gen fighter. Now we can have a real fighter that we won't know about.

"Stealth" generally implies that the radar, infrared, and communication signatures have been reduced to near indetectability. You can see it just fine, but if it is going for a light grey color, it will be very hard to see against a sky or cloud background. The "drones" they are talking about will be pilotless airplanes of conventional configuration, under remote direction by the F-47.
