It's possible to back this up and say television PROGRAMING has socially engineered the societies we now have. For the majority of homes it's the first thing done in the morning and the last thing done at night...if it gets turned off at all.

I think overall seeing how blacks are only a fraction of the population, you'll see more white villains just based on that alone; there's more white actors. Times are changing on that front though. But these days there's definitely a push to make white people villainous by default, regardless of whether the cast actually fit the movie well

In the current era there is a noticable push to make whites appear weak, ignorant, or evil, especially white men. The same can be said for heterosexual nuclear families of all races or christians. They are seeding it into the public consciousness through entertainment

It sure seems like it, though I'll admit I haven't watched a new movie in several years once all the gay stuff started being put in. As for Netflix specifically I can't remember a black villain in anything I've watched on there

I think the broader point OP and everyone else here is making is that it’s all become painfully more formulaic now. Like you can take one look at an “intersectional” character from the get go and know everything they’re gonna do and say and embody for the next 2 hrs of screen time. It fuckin blows.
I LOVED Hans Gruber in Die Hard. I LOVED Wesley Snipes as Simon Phoenix or wrestling with his good and evil halves in Blade. But watching Viola Davis trying to imitate Terry Crews in the trailer to that G20 film is just fuckin cringe.

I haven't watched TV in eons, since high school really ( early 90s ) because of this. You could easily see the social programming back then, and even in the shows I used to watch as a little kid.
I think the last movie I saw in the theatre was SAW 7 - haven't seen the Chris Rock one. I have no streaming services, basic cable and SportsNet 1 ( on tv ) and it's only for baseball, I cancel my cable after the world series.
I'd just get the MLB network, but I'd never leave the house lol
