In order to account for the full breadth of wasted taxpayer dollars, it is necessary to build an accurate database that tallies taxpayer contributions to the Federal Government.
It would not surprise me if the IRS keeps no such records, at least in a searchable, usable, and useful database architecture.
Ultimately, this Palantir deal for a database is, I believe, a step on the road towards citizen data sovereignty that will ultimately give back ownership of personal data to the American citizens.

The way I view things like this is that I spin it in the other direction.
I strip all the "who" part from things and focus on the "what". And then I apply the opposite "who" to the "what". If I'm still ok with that scenario, then everything is golden.
So in this particular case, I keep the "what" which is someone compiling data on Americans, and change the "who" from President Trump to liberals in general. In this case, I'll use Biden/Obama for a reference point.

The way I view things like this is that I spin it in the other direction.
I strip all the "who" part from things and focus on the "what". And then I apply the opposite "who" to the "what". If I'm still ok with that scenario, then everything is golden.
So in this particular case, I keep the "what" which is someone compiling data on Americans, and change the "who" from President Trump to liberals in general. In this case, I'll use Biden/Obama for a reference point.
So if I would be ok with liberals and Biden/Obama making a huge database on Americans, then sure, I guess it would be ok.
Am I ok with that? Well, fuck no I'm not. So why would I be ok with Trump doing it? Even if Trump wasn't going to do anything nefarious with it himself, once the data is compiled and stored, it's permanent. Anyone could use that information for anything.
And since I don't believe that President Trump will proclaim himself Grand Emperor of America and will never step down, or that a 78 year old man who lives on McDonalds and Diet Coke will never become ill or die, then I have to face the reality that one day, possibly very soon, another liberal president might be sworn in. And they will have access to this database. And that doesn't even begin to count all the other evil groups out there who could get their hands on it and use it against us.
So, my personal opinion on the matter? 👎

🙄 Does it matter if he eats it every single day? It's well known that he regularly eats fast food. The point being he doesn't have the healthiest diet and he's already elderly. It doesn't indicate that he's going to still be around and available to continue as President (or Grand Emperor or whatever he might ever name himself) for much longer.

When the control is the hands of who? Call them whatever you want, it's a multi faction list that have but one goal. Engineering and steering a mass population in a common direction but for one purpose. The script takes on many roles, always the same basic theme. For centuries, milliniums, yes, and even now. We've all been played, sucked in and distracted, laidened with glints of hopium. Content to be pacified and excuse obvious misdirects, never fully grasping the whole picture. Content to be on the sidelines, then accept whatever handouts make us subservient, again and again throughout history. Such is the fate of the flock at the hands of the Shepard's.

Just a point to keep in mind: The government has always compiled information on every citizen. It was and is called a "census." Indispensable for the functioning of our Constitutional government.
And, time was, no one had any heartburn about every city, locality, or county, publishing a compendium of everyone who had a telephone number, along with street address. They were called "phone books." And the Yellow Pages were very handy to find businesses. Now, it seems that the suggestion of any such thing would be greeted with deep suspicion and objection.
I have to conclude that, somehow, we have transitioned from a people who had no fear of being seen and known in public, to a people who wish to be invisible and unknown even in private. No longer a nation of John Wayne.
This seems like it’s related to some of the things DOGE discovered. I recall several examples of multiple “people” drawing Social Security checks on the same Social Security number. There were some other situations where similar things were happening all because the Government software and databases intentionally suck to enable fraud.

I think we already have mass surveillance being conducted by the 3 letter agencies.
What we have on the financial side of the Government is deliberate incompetence to enable fraud.
Maybe I’m reading this wrong, but it seems like this Palantir deal is to help clean up the fraud and money laundering by establishing one centralized, clean database. And, if the NYT is worried about it, I’m inclined to believe it is targeting the corruption versus creating a surveillance state. The NYT would be applauding a surveillance state.

I have a lot to post about this topic but a few quick things- what if all these unelected bureaucrats being fired by the Trump admin are being replaced by AI? What if the government is about to be largely transitioned into an AI program? I saw a post yesterday on the "Big Beutiful Bill" showing language in it which prohibits any legislation from halting AI progress or implementation for the next 10 years. So if we want to limit AI from violating our 4th Amendment for example, we have to wait 10 years?
Are these "Freedom Cities" Trump wants to build...going to be AI- powered Smart Cities?
I want to see some hardcore moves back towards the Constitution before this gets out of hand. If Trump admin doesn't move in that direction quick fast and in a hurry, it will probably be too late - game over.
