The Constitution says Congress shall have the power to coin money. The fiat money that Congress has allowed a criminal private business to impose on us has been causing inflation and enslaving us for more than a century. Senator Lee is just reminding Congress to do its job.
This allows the executive branch to take actions that will cause inflation and eject congress. It’s not in the spirit of the constitution.
Like what? Congress ultimately has power of the purse, they merely have to snatch back that spending discretionary power back from the Executive.
Vetoes, immigration, homeland security, travel advisories, tariffs, energy, agencies and regulations. Issuing statements and tweets to manipulate markets. Look how much the markets went up and down so far this year from announcements. Imagine if any president in the future tried really hard to offshore the way Trump is trying to bring things home, for the sole purpose of trying to get all of congress ejected.

I like the spirit, but this is totally impractical. Inflation is already fudged to be a useless statistic. This sees like a dangerously powerful political weapon.
Couldn't we start by limiting Congresses income solely to their government salaries for the duration of their term?
And how about making it so all the lobbying "perks" are outlawed and that Congress is subject to ALL the laws they pass.
Before we do that we need to get some honesty in our "representatives". how would we know if inflation was +3%. Look at the lies of the past. We would also need to educate our elected "servants" so they realize they are here to serve citizens. not migrant invaders. I say we just start with the whole crooked crop, cut them off and the ones who aren't prosecuted need to stand in the unemployment line.

Approval of congress is less than 20% nationwide, so this should easily pass if given to the People and the States, where ultimate political power should always reside, not in D.C.
