I hate the IRS passionately, along with everything they stand for. They are illegal, evil, anathema to America. So, for everyone to stop paying...excellent idea, I love it, but it's a gray area legally.

There are people that differ with that. I haven't devoted much time to exploring it, but the idea is that as long as you do not interact with the IRS, i.e., enter into any explicit or implicit contracts with them, they have no power to make you pay anything. Of course, to get back withholdings, you have to enter into some kind of discussion. The answer to that is to not authorize any withholdings.

Hmm, just sent in my Offer and Consideration on my back taxes. I guess they won’t be getting to that task for a while. My tax person said there was a new law in Jan or Feb that says they have to review these and make a decision within 6 months or it is approved by default.
Trump does not condone just not paying your taxes, he is phasing it out in an attempt to avoid a Mad Max situation. Before the end of his term we will have a tariff funded government. Note how everyone is going to pay us tariffs, but we are going to pay little if no 0 to them?
