HUGE!! EPA Chief Lee Zeldin to Rescind ‘Holy Grail of the Climate Change Religion’ That Led to $1 Trillion in Regulations | The Endangerment Finding created the legal basis for the agency to regulate greenhouse gas emissions | I see one post on this already but very poorly described.

🏆 - WINNING - 🏆
If finalized, rescinding the Endangerment Finding and resulting regulations would end $1 trillion or more in hidden taxes on American businesses and families. [Emphasis added]
An EPA press release stated that this proposal would** eliminate onerous regulations** that harm American businesses as well as “much hated” automobile features such as “start-stop” on most new cars. (I hate that stupid regulation that shuts engine off a red light)
(I hate that stupid regulation that shuts engine off a red light) 👉 Stupidest thing ever invented.....NAPA loves the Starter business though !
Yeah right under Seth Rich
I am luckily able to turn that start-stop feature off. I'm pretty sure it causes unnecessary wear and tear on the starter. Plus, I know it used to actually use more gas to start a car initially, and it used less once it was running. Maybe not any more. I don't really care enough to research it. As long as I can turn that feature off. Sitting in stop and go traffic for an hour in 100+ degree weather with the a/c shutting off with that start-stop feature... Yeah, no thanks!
If the a/c is one, that feature should be disabled. That's how our Honda is at least. I usually press the button to turn it off anyway.
We had a rental car that kept doing that, so I figured out how to turn that start stop feature off so we'd have a/c. I got my current new to me used car in winter, so just automatically turned the feature off. No idea if it would cut the a/c or not. 😅
I have it on my cars (Jaguar & Land Rover). It is not a bother. The moment you lift your foot off the brake, the engine starts in a second. And if you wait "too long" it will start up and stay running. There is no doubt whatsoever that you mangle your miles-per-gallon by loitering at stoplights. It is possible to do it right, and no doubt maddening if it is done wrong.
The start-stop’s most dangerous feature is that it allows massive amounts of Copium to leak into the cabin while driving! Inhaling it makes you complacent in the Cabal’s constant attempts to control every last facet of your life, down to when the engine of your car is allowed to run.
I would also point out how the start-stop is bad for your engine over the long term, but then I realized you drive a Jaaaaag, so “long term” isn’t really in your motoring lexicon.
My daughter just got a Nissan that has that start-stop I just turned it off but it's going to ruin your car
I know you are concerned about starting up an engine from a long period of rest, when all the oil has drained from the passages. But this is not the case with an engine fresh from running.
What do you know about my "motoring lexicon"? I typically own a car for 10 years or more before I need to replace it. I had my first Jag (an XK8) for 17 years before it had to be "totaled" due to a door lock break-in (no replacement locks to be found anywhere on Earth). I would have it still, were it not for that. I value my cars and keep them in good shape. Good that you don't mind idling.
Sounds like both your current vehicles are pretty new given that they have the Start-Stop feature.
I also tend to hold onto a vehicle like you. I currently drive a 2005 Toyota Tundra in great shape with only 93K miles.
I dont have it on either of my 4 cars (Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari & Bentley). The engine is on before i take my foot off the brake because the engine never stopped. It is at the ready continuously. My starter, battery and alternator are far better off for it. Tis a peasant feature marketed as technology.
Actually, I meant to compliment you on your garage occupants. All first rate and beyond my means (though I did have a few heart throbs over the RR Dawn convertible when it came out).
You will no doubt beat me at the stoplight grand prix. A second counts for something. But it wasn't an option, so I suffer in silence.
You guys are killin' me! Can't stop laughing.
Kek!
I had that on my Rav4 it turns out there was an easy fix. There is a wire close to the top of the radiator. That wire is for mechanics to turn off the on/off feature so that they can work on the engine without it stopping. I unplugged it and it was great for 2 years until I traded my car in.
You also put unneeded stress on the battery starter and alternator by keeping that start-stop function activated. Also, the amount of fuel you save by having it on is negligible.
Not so. I've had cars with instantaneous and average mpg calculators running, and the average mpg goes into a definite decline the longer one waits at a stoplight. A little bit of zero goes a long ways. That's when I started planning my routes to avoid stoplights even if the mileage is increased, so long as I could keep moving.
The blade cuts off on my Cub-Cadet mower when I back up, and that drives me crazy too!
Too many missing toes.
If you're backing up over your own feet you have a serious skill issue.
I'm thinking of the now-common "helicopter rotor" rotary blade mowers, where it was entirely too easy to let it move back an inch too far. As I thought about it, I recalled that gas engines had been applied to reel-style mowers, and they were perhaps a bit less likely to result in that problem. They were self-propelled and I think one could disengage the engine without shutting it off. But the rotor style became popular.
Damn it man that made me laugh out loud!!
There goes their climate change industry.
I can just imagine the smile on the faces of whole herds of cows as the freely let got the farts they have been squeaking out for years now. I bet a herd of cows at dinner time sounds like fart scene from Blazing Saddles.
Great! There are countries now wanting to tax cows. The plants produce methane by decay whether they go through a cow or not. Plus a plant based diet lowers testosterone and makes people weak without heavy supplementation.
They want us broke and weak and divided so they can control us.
Where was the term "green house gas emissions" derived? What kind of green house are they referring to?
I know what a green house is. That is a plant area encapsulated by a filtered sunlight plastic material with fans to help regulate the temperature. Also water misters.
They are called greenhouse gases because they heat up the atmosphere, like a greenhouse keeping plants warm.
Ok thanks.
They can't do this soon enough!

Well, let's apply endangerment to GAVI and Billy Gates for starters shall we?
Blotting out the sun? Weather modification?
Weekend before last I was fishing with my wife & son. We were watching an approaching storm cloud. Then suddenly we started to see hundreds of flashes coming through the cloud. Way to many to be lightning. It was like there were several strobe lights behind it. I assume it was being hit with radio waves or microwaves ???
Maybe the aliens were coming down like on War of the Worlds.
B.G. need to be handled with Rule 308.
That’s my fav rule.
I posted same topic only different source as MuckeyDuck, so deleted my post and sharing what I had on my post here on MD's, because MD posted before I did...
🚨 JUST IN: Lee Zeldin just said the EPA is launching the "largest deregulatory action in the HISTORY of the United States" by repealing Obama's emissions regulations.
"To eliminate all of the greenhouse gas emissions regulations...$1 TRILLION worth of savings."
This is a massive deal.

Long time member of this forum. I’ll be honest, I bought an EV a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I didn’t realize how fun they would be to drive, the torque is unmatched. We now have my truck and the EV (Chevy blazer) and I much prefer driving the Blazer.
Not trying to pretend like I’m saving the planet, but I have a distaste for Big Oil.
When you breakdown most of the complaints about electrification, it really only boils down to the Feds forcing it on everyone.
As long as everyone can agree that I can have mine, and you can have yours, there's really no downsides to EVs as an option amongst many.
Completely agree. EV’s becoming politicized is what really messed things up. I actually think adoption rates would be higher if the government had stayed out of it.
My guess is for 90%+ societies use cases, an EV is a better option over an ICE vehicle. But because the government tried to force feed them, lots of people lost interest and are now in resistance mode. If my Blazer continues to perform like it is currently, I don’t see us ever going back to two ICE vehicles.
Climate Change HOAX is on the ropes??
Kint happen fast enuf
THANKS BE TO GOD!
I remember that people used to offer plans for making engine pre-lubrication pump systems. They basically electrically bring the oil pressure up before starting the engine and claim it extends engine life.
If I drive 30 miles to attend a training session in another city, then drive home, I start my car 2x. With stop-start that would be many more times. Fortunately, they don't have stop-start on 6 speed manual sports cars!
Yes, they do. I have one.
It does have an off/on switch though.
pre-lubrication pump systems never heard of anything like this. I have heard of engines that had to be primed before starting, but this was fuel, not oil.
Use any search engine and look for:
engine pre-lube systems for long life
I read a little on them. Never heard of this, I don't think, and in my young day I used to work on semi diesel engines. Have completely rebuilt a few of them, back in the 70's.
No offense intended to previous OP. When I say but very poorly described, I mean curt/inadequate headline.
Golden Rule time. Would you rather be publicly humiliated for doing as the OP did, or would you rather someone coach you privately in how to best write a headline?

Ha Ha!
Thanks Mods! You're the greatest!!
It's the difference between proving "some harm" and "some harm to something you own". bottom line.
Here be dragons
Wrong guy to ask as I am very adverse to Date Fagging on End Times stuff.
