Sad part is - many of them probably know more about our govt than an awful lot of Americans. The speed at which we went from "anonymous twitter poster makes a threat against Ted Cruz" to "well wait a minute, let's rationalize and imagine a world without Ted Cruz" was so immediate and abrupt it caused me to laugh out loud, like a chemical reaction of stupid.

I'm not convinced you read what I said. My post had nothing to do with Mr. Cruz. It was about the creation of the belief that he was being targeted by assassination, and who would benefit from that belief.
That's my point. Nobody likes him. Unlike Mr. Kirk, he was thought of as "Lyin' Ted" at best, and a slimy Controlled Opposition agent for the PTB at worst. So who benefits?
Nothing that makes it to the world stage (as this did) is done by a "anonymous twitter poster". That's not how the world works. If it makes big, it's intentional by the propaganda machine (one of the intelligence agencies). Now, who really controls that machine is a bigger conversation, but who benefits from the propaganda and the creation of that belief?
There was, of course, the X posting indicating foreknowledge of Charlie's assassination. Imagine if that had been seen and believed when it was posted. Maybe the event could have been averted.
