“Forgive us our sins as we forgive those that sin against us.” There is no slightest suggestion that we are offered forgiveness on any other terms. It is made perfectly clear that if we do not forgive we shall not be forgiven. There are no two ways about it.
And you telling me me to FO, that is disrespectful, and if I had you at arms length we would have a problem.
She "forgives" him because she knows Charlie isn't dead. She knows that guy didn't kill him. Pretty easy to forgive someone who didn't kill your husband. You are watching a scripted plot. Minor caveats here and there to move with the masses, but the whole thing is fake.
Her media campaign came together pretty quickly. Don't trust blindly because someone calls the name.of God. Interesting questions are being asked about her past.
I get a familiar cringe when watching her speak. She's as plastic as a Hollywood Barbie doll celebrity. Kari Lake cringe.
Just gonna leave this here for consideration:

Looking up and to the right is often associated with the mental process of constructing a visual image or imagining something, according to theories from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This direction is suggested to indicate that a person is creating a story or fabricating information, as it is linked to using the imagination rather than recalling a real memory. Some sources state that this eye movement is a sign of lying, particularly when a person is trying to invent a narrative.
However, the scientific validity of this connection is highly contested. Research has shown that there is no reliable correlation between eye movement direction and deception. The idea that looking up and to the right indicates lying is considered pseudoscience by many experts, as it fails to account for individual differences and lacks empirical support. Studies have found that the supposed link between eye movements and lying has not been proven and is not a valid method for lie detection.
Furthermore, eye movements are influenced by various factors, including cognitive load, personal habits, and the nature of the task, making it unreliable to interpret them as definitive signs of deception. The direction of eye movement can also vary based on handedness, with left-handed individuals often showing the opposite pattern. Therefore, interpreting eye movements requires careful baseline testing and consideration of context, and should not be used as a standalone indicator of truthfulness or deception.

I'm going to pay very close attention to the direction she & the other TPUSA people head towards, Lord willing.
A lot of this makes sense, especially your opening statement. Not that there is a standard for appearance in mourning and grieving, but she looked and seemed plastic, stoic, and dolled up to perfection in her stream immediately following Charlie’s death. There was no rawness of emotion and misery nor relatable qualities to the average woman / widow in her situation. Had she been in regular everyday clothes, without the cosmetics & hair straightening/styling, and if there had been a rawness in her overall appearance and with tears, I think people could have really connected in a more meaningful way (outside of what has already been expressed on the basis of being a widow or being sorrowful).
I certainly understand the average person is not a “celebrity” nor married to or widowed by a “celebrity” and there is no national address they will give on Livestream, but it would be more appropriate (in my opinion at least) to look like a grieving widow and not place a professional and pristine appearance over the raw and natural state of a grieving widow, no matter how many people will view it or any other reason. That creates a barrier to natural and meaningful connection between the widow on the Livestream and every other woman and/or widow.
She seemed completely genuine to me. I wonder if Christians like myself recognize her faith in action, and perhaps others see such behavior as "an act"?
I don't think so, personally. I'm a Christian like yourself and I discern some amount of acting. I don't doubt her faith whatsoever, but I think she's being somewhat coerced into performing. Doesn't mean she doesn't have faith or grief. She just maybe doesn't want to be on stage with fireworks at the moment.
There is such a thing as long-wearing makeup, which can withstand water. I would assume she wanted to look nice for the service, but was also aware that she would likely break down.
I lost my husband unexpectedly 3 years ago. You work on auto pilot for quite a few months after your spouse dies. Especially when you didn't expect it. I personally do not like to show emotion in public either. Until you lose your spouse, don't judge others on how they react immediately after the death of their spouse. She watched him be killed. I didn't have to do that. I can't imagine how I'd be doing after that. And two young children to console - some of ya'll make me wonder sometimes.
Please, give her some leeway. She was in front of millions of people right after losing her husband and had to keep it together. Glad she didn't give the bastards responsible the satisfaction of seeing her break down.
First, I am sorry for your loss. When my FIL died, my MIL was rather stoic. It was not unexpected, but she had been with him for 50 years. She said to me later that it didn't seem real, but 6 months later was when it really set in. After everyone else has "moved on," I suspect something similar will happen to Erika Kirk.
There is something I can't quite put my finger on though. I watched her speak about forgiveness. I don't think she has though. She is saying one thing but she has a lot of anger in her expressions - and rightfully so. I am not saying she is lying on purpose, but I think she may be lying to herself. And maybe she has to at this point to get through it. But I suspect she will have days where she thinks very differently.
I realize this might be my own shortcomings. And I feel like an asshole for even thinking about it. But something is just off. Maybe it is a result of just being exhausted by constant manipulation.
I agree with you there. You still have to deal with your own feelings when forgiving anyone. The desire is there, but it takes time to actually deal with the emotions inside yourself.
Exactly. I don't think she realizes yet she is going to have days when she is furious not just with 'that young man' but with CK - when the kids are misbehaving, or having nightmares - why did you have to go to that stupid campus? Why didn't you protect yourself better? Why did you have to leave us? WHY?
Like you said. the desire may be there but she isn't even out of the starting blocks.
Well, a hundred million streams proclaiming and honoring Jesus were viewed by over a hundred million people. I can’t see Satan using anyone with nefarious intentions to bring about that outcome. I believe she was just looking over the glass barrier at the pictures of her husband, as that’s the only way should could get through it. She was praying out loud and trying to compose herself before she ever spoke. Any of you seeing anything else in this are delusional.
It "came together" quickly? The TPUSA has been around for a while - years even - yet you're surprised the media end was handled "quickly"? Plus, Trump, Vance, etc are all supporting her. You don't think that maybe she had help outside the TPUSA people who have been doing this for years?
That was powerful! They should have ended the memorial with her remarks! I was disappointed that Trump turned his comments into a largely "look what I've done" speech; really poor taste!
Also did he really go play golf same day after he found out Charlie died. I mean I get it he’s making decisions whether to nuke a country so maybe his emotional threshold isn’t the same as ours but still.
Does he ever not do that though? Nearly every time he opens his mouth it's all look at me, look how great I am. Talking about God on the odd occasion and I caught he said Charlie's belief in Jesus when he finally said Jesus's name! I'm surprised he didn't plug his golden ballroom again.
All the gold in the oval doesn't look like we're the best in the free world it looks....tacky. I used to think maybe he wanted to model after Solomon but overall the people aren't doing "good" We're doing okay but I have no idea what measuring stick he's using to say we're in some golden age.
Erika though was outstanding as usual! Sbe exemplifies a godly woman and who women should aspire to. I'm shocked people are picking apart how she looked?! She's a former Miss Arizona! I would think that "beauty" is woven into her very fiber. It's probsbly so 2nd nature to her. I saw a clip of a podcast where she encourages women to care about their appearance. She said maybe not hair and nails like she does but to care.
I find it refreshing. In the sea of sweats and messy buns to run errands. While that has it's place I guess. (I will always disagree with looking like you literally rolled out of bed though)
People used to dress to travel. We've become entirely too sloppy as a society. I used to work in the travel industry and to fly, we had to dress up to use our air passes. I still feel odd wearing jeans to fly! As an aside my mom also instilled to look your best when in public. While I abandoned her "wear lipstick' always, I like gloss lol, I do keep myself put together and not look homeless when I run errands. So I imagine that's even more instilled in Erika coming from Miss Arizona. Charlie even used the words "elegant " to describe her so perhaps she wanted to look her best for him. There's plenty of pictures of her dressed down having fun.
As far as her eye movements. Um, Charlie's poster was up to the right of her! She was likely looking up at him as he was her leader of their home m, that too was likely instinct for her at this point. To look to him but know God is where her strength and help comes from.
Because they did not now they were killing their God. That is why "They know not what they do". This asshole, Tyler knew exactly who he was killing, Charlie Kirk, and he remains unrepentant. You are comparing apples and oranges.
As followers of Christ we're commanded to forgive others, even if they don't ask for it. Unforgiveness disrupts the flow of God's grace, as Jesus teaches that we receive forgiveness from the Father in the measure we extend it to others. Holding onto grudges breeds a "root of bitterness" that defiles not just the individual but those around them, as Hebrews 12:15 urges: "See to it that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." This emotional weight manifests as resentment, anger, and anxiety, robbing believers of God's perfect peace. Unforgiveness can also open doors to the enemy to come in and cause physical illness in your body. Many infirmities people have in their bodies are rooted in unforgiveness.
You aren’t supposed to forgive the enemy when he is in the process of continuing to be the enemy. I don’t care how many Bible quotes others have. If I forgive my son for being disrespectful while he is in the process of being disrespectful, that isn’t noble. It’s weak and it encourages sinful behavior
Good. It was a little too soon for her to express that thought, in my opinion. The easy thing to do is just praise her. I wouldn't want my spouse forgiving my murderer unless the murderer expressed remorse. Something doesn't feel right about it.
It was way too soon and in very poor taste. We fundamentally disagree on this issue and nothing will change that. Nobody here worships Trump. It's an odd thing to say on this board.
He was probably advised not to make such a speech, but he just can't help himself. His vanity is his greatest weakness, and is the reason he had so many bad appointees in his first term (hiring those who fawned over him). I think he is better at picking people now, but his narcissism is hard for him to shed.
If your family was experiencing a home invasion robbery and they were in the middle of kidnapping your spouse, would you be focused, at that moment, on forgiving them? If the answer is yes, I would say you are incorrectly applying the principles of Christianity.
Exactly. Forgiveness does NOT mean escape from being held accountable. As individuals we must forgive him, but as a society we must hold him accountable for his actions. The God Almighty gets the final judgment.
It is very clear, "forgive me my trespasses as I forgive others who trespass against me". Clear as day, isn't it? Not easy, but necessary. This was a beautiful service until it got political. I was offended by that. I really enjoy this space, it is a free space for me to share my faith and encourage others with Faith. I will speak out against evil, but I have great respect for Charlie and his wife, and I feel that the politics should have been left out. I may have see myself to the door on this one. To talk of hate after Ericka so much in the embrace of Christs love, spoke her truth, is kind of the last straw for me. May God bless and keep all of you faithful, remember that God will love you to the grave and beyond. I pray that the truth will be revealed, and soon, because these hatreds are creating a fog, and the only place to get away from it is with Jesus Christ. Perhaps I can find another site for fellowship. Too old for this.
I truly feel your words. All of them. The combativeness here has increased exponentially while critical thinking has plummeted.
Please continue sharing your faith, encouraging others, and speaking against evil. You are not alone! Only God knows of the impact of our words here, but He brought us here for His purpose! I stand with you, lovemyGod!🙏
Please don't leave! There are many fellow Christians here who feel as you do! It's too bad the people who organized this memorial gathering didn't specify who would speak, and not include Trump as a speaker (attend yes, speak, no).
Thank You. It is good to know other Christians feel the same way. I do not know the truth anymore when it comes to men's words, I only know the truth of scripture. oh, I am not unwordly, not at all, I had a pastor once tell me, when I wanted to just isolate and be in prayer, and leave all of this behind, he told me that was fine for awhile, but that Christ has told us that he would be out there in the world, among the people, among many kinds of people, the poor, the rich, the pious and the struggling sinner. I do what I can with that. But I was younger when I heard those words. Now I just want to cloister again. I use the internet to be in the world now, and it was wonderful to see the faithful gathered together in mourning and tribute for a young man who spoke bravely and fairly, and encouraged respectful debate of different opinions. He was able to do that because he was a Christian, God gave him strength and purpose. I understand that people started leaving when it turned into a political rally. To quote my gran, "is there nothing sacred anymore?". Jesus loved, he came to preach the love of God, that salvation and eternal glory is accesible to EVERYONE who confesses him as savior. Ericka spoke that, I believe it too. I just do not get it, that for once, he chose not to show a humble and comforting side to the mourners.
To be fair, you are not Erika and you didn’t lose your husband Charlie Kirk. On a foundational level, it 100% matters for the natural and temporal sense of closure. Remember, none of us have gone to glory yet. Therefore, we are subject to the realness and rawness of emotional trauma and grief in not having a sense of closure. For all we know, Erika does not know the name and background and history and motive of the person who pulled the trigger in killing her husband. None of us technically have any reason to think she knows everything simply because she’s the grieving widow. National security will not likely be compromised by this administration.
I don't get it, why. This also happened when the kid got stabbed at the track meet. It was said that the FBI crisis managers tell the victims family that they have to forgive the killer. WTF, im tired of forgiving the killers. What distortion aura or reverse psychology is being done. Let me grieve let me deal with my anger. Forgive the killer, sigh...
The point of forgiveness actually has little to nothing to do with the one being forgiven. It's for your own benefit. All that hate and anger is carried by you, and has zero effect on the guilty party. You forgive, you let go of those negative emotions that only hurt you.
That's how Jesus wants for us to operate as believers in Him, if you don't forgive others then He'll not forgive you.
But I truly believe she's aware that guy Tyler didn't kill him, it was too sophisticated and professional for someone like him to achieve.
Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding you, but you not saying the only reason the forgives Tyler is because she thinks him innocent, are you?
If she is faithful, she is commanded to forgive whomever killed Charlie.
Fuck off. Christianity isn't a religion of getting fucked six ways from sunday. Stop being weak.
You need to read your bible son.
I know what the scripture says.
I am saying regardless of who killed him, she would forgive them including the plotters because that's what Jesus would do.
Understand, thanks. That is what we are all commanded to do.
She "forgives" him because she knows Charlie isn't dead. She knows that guy didn't kill him. Pretty easy to forgive someone who didn't kill your husband. You are watching a scripted plot. Minor caveats here and there to move with the masses, but the whole thing is fake.
His funeral was open casket. He unfortunately is dead.
O.P.E. othe peoples ears
You calling Charlies wife a liar?
My bad. I read it how it was written. As a statement of fact.
Her media campaign came together pretty quickly. Don't trust blindly because someone calls the name.of God. Interesting questions are being asked about her past.
Ok anons what's the gut-check on Erika Kirk?
I get a familiar cringe when watching her speak. She's as plastic as a Hollywood Barbie doll celebrity. Kari Lake cringe.

Same

He hasnt asked for her forgiveness so why would she?
What would Jesus do? At his crucifixion Jesus said forgive them as they know not what they do.
Because they did not now they were killing their God. That is why "They know not what they do". This asshole, Tyler knew exactly who he was killing, Charlie Kirk, and he remains unrepentant. You are comparing apples and oranges.
Killing God? You mean the Sonnof God the Savior. You cant kill the creator. If you did who would raise him from the dead?
He laid down his life and took up his life of his own accord. Jesus Christ is God Almighty.
If he took up his own life of his own accord, as you say, then how could he have been truly dead? 3 days and 3 nights dead?
Because He's God and He said he gives His life of His own accord and He takes it back up of His own accord.
What chapter and verse is that?
Jesus is both fully God and fully man. That's Christianity 101

Why would he?
Don't forgive the programmers. They are the promulgators of the devil's word.
The deep state and their propagandists are the embodiment of evil.
We all forgive him. Now prosecute and put him away.
Exactly. Forgiveness does NOT mean escape from being held accountable. As individuals we must forgive him, but as a society we must hold him accountable for his actions. The God Almighty gets the final judgment.

Her declaring that live was more powerful than the entirety of the whole event.
When will Erika know who pulled the trigger?
Im sure she knows the truth.
Yep, either way.
Knowing matters for closure
I don't get it, why. This also happened when the kid got stabbed at the track meet. It was said that the FBI crisis managers tell the victims family that they have to forgive the killer. WTF, im tired of forgiving the killers. What distortion aura or reverse psychology is being done. Let me grieve let me deal with my anger. Forgive the killer, sigh...
Read above comments, because that’s what Jesus would do.
The point of forgiveness actually has little to nothing to do with the one being forgiven. It's for your own benefit. All that hate and anger is carried by you, and has zero effect on the guilty party. You forgive, you let go of those negative emotions that only hurt you.
I understand that, however, let me be angry not i forgive you while still grieving.
