Many depressives found that eating meat - a real human food lifted their depression within days of eating carnivore diet. Just saying. Support the body human with human food results are pretty awesome.
I said in the other thread I posted that I am 12 (13 early next year) years clean off of opiates and I attribute psychedelics to helping me get off and stay off them, while also helping work out a lot of the other deeply ingrained depression and escapism issues that made me use much more toxic substances as a crutch.
The very notion that people refer to these as dangerous drugs in the same breath as something like fentanyl is appallingly dishonest.
Same fren. Never smoked weed cuz weed bad! Tried it a few times and honestly I don't really care for it. It's GREAT for calming the brain and going to sleep but I just don't care for the high feeling. I did try low dose shrooms once. That was one of the best days of my life. I was focused like I've never been and just felt... good. Didn't take enough to have psychoactive effects, but wow did I feel like a "normal" human being for once.
A very good friend of mine was a sniper in the middle east for 2 tours. He had some pretty rough ptsd, like disappear for a week type of shit. About 3 years ago he started microdosing magic mushrooms every day and after a month he stopped taking antidepressants and a few months later he stopped having nightmares..... this is an actual testimony given to me from my friend. The dude is super smart and it really opened my eyes into what MM can actually do to the right people in the right setting. With that being said, MM can also be used in a ritualistic manner to make yourself more susceptible to spiritual contact, and not in the way I think we should.... so a word of caution of course. Too much of anything is a bad thing. But used in the right mindset they have wonderful benefits and I hope we continue to research it and stop giving chemical poison to ourselves
I just listened to DJ Shipley, a former navy seal on Huberman Lab podcast. I highly recommend it. He discusses using Ibogaine for treatment of depression as well. He talks about where they go in Mexico for treatment and how it all works in detail. Pretty powerful.
He mentioned this story that will be coming out on Netflix.
"In Waves and War, set to premiere on November 3, 2025, features Amber Capone, the wife of U.S. Navy SEAL veteran Marcus Capone, as a central figure in the story of psychedelic-assisted therapy for veterans"
No affiliation, just passing info along. I'm all about supporting those who sacrificed so much for the US.
I have used psychedelics, and the one thing I can attest to personally, is that it changes your perspective. It opens your eyes to see things differently, I never saw what was not there, no hallucinations, but the depth of a thing, especially in nature, trees, flowers, rocks, become alive in a way that is hard to describe. I saw the life inside of them and had an understanding of Creation that I did not have before I experienced this. Severe depression is very different than being melancholy. Genetically of the Celtic race, melancholy is systemic in many of my people. Often the catalyst for great art and common sense. I do believe that for every illness, God created the cure within this earth, that medicine does not have to be made inside of a laboratory with danger to the rest of our system. Cannabis has helped me move around with less pain, my doctor approves. The stiffness and spasms that happen with spinal arthritis are helped by it, and its sort of amazing how that works, but it works. I found an old medical encyclopedia that was being thrown out in a state hospital I worked in, they were renovating and many things ended up in a dumpster. I snatched it, it was written in 1921, and full of herbal medicines that were used by pharmacists back then. Love is built right into pure Creation, so of course God would have created plants that grow here for our medicines. There are cautions for things, and a novice should always seek guidance from an herbalist who has studied, not just rando advice,
Unfortunately when I took them there was no community of advocates at all to guide me, just a lot of acid maniacs who proselytized how wonderful it was. It wasn't at all, It made me quite ill for many years.
Nowadays the community has a lot more knowledge about harm reduction, and how to do things safely. There are many more resources available now.
I've always advocated being realistic and transparent about adverse effects. I want people to get the maximum benefit out of psychedelic therapy if it can help them. This includes mitigating any possible adverse effects.
Well to be clear again my understanding is microdosing (meaning, does not create a "high" or intoxication) is ok, but anything that creates "drunkenness" is essentially a sin (which affects the ability to reason).
A medical thumbs up for getting high wouldn't seem to remove the wrongness of becoming drunk (although there are some contexts where a similar thing is approved, like people using painkillers medically)
I remain mostly against psychedelics personally and don't think them to be good for a person generally (besides microdosing, but I'm not sure there are pronounced benefits of that).
I think instead people seeking out these kinds of things need therapeutic activity that engages the imagination (arts, music, etc.).
My experience with blotter acid is that it magnifies everything. Whatever mood I'm in before dropping the acid will be magnified 10 times over. If I'm in a good mood and not worried about anything, I'll have a good trip. If I have a lot of problems at the time or I hate myself for whatever reason, the worry or the hatred with be magnified 10 times more severe. So basically, everything going on in my life has to be peachy or I'll have a bad trip.
I haven't dropped acid in about 40 years. Too scared to. The first trip I ever had on the stuff was the best trip. It was a mild dose of 300MCG. Basically one square or one hit of acid. In my experience, taking a larger dose doesn't necessarily make the trip any better. Often times a larger dose can be a detrimental experience.
I once took so much blotter acid that it was about the size of a book of matches. That was a horrible experience. These trips for me usually last about 15 hours. Taking more of it doesn't make the trip last any longer either. Having said all that, I'm still glad I went through the experience. My outlook on life has been profoundly different ever since.
Very thankful we will get support for this concept from Bobby K. He KNOWS.
And in the meantime, be aware that both Saffron 88.5 mg, and SAM-e, are a Godsend- yes "literally"
Yesterday, it was a post about how Marijuana is good for you. Today, it's a post about how magic mushrooms are good for you. Don't know if it's the same fren posting them.
Not sure if this content has anything to do with Q or this movement.
Jussayin', mods have booted some of us before for being this far off-topic.
These are not “party drugs.”
Psilocybin is a very powerful, effective medicine.
When used in the proper setting with the proper mindset, it can certainly be positively life altering.
Can attest to this also

Can attest to this
Glad to see more advocates coming out of the woodworks.
Consciousness is growing. :)

Thank you for sharing that brother. It works for me too. I deal with PTSD and depression. It is the only thing that works for me.

Many such cases!

More great research finds by you.
Thank you T_I

That stuff nearly killed me a Few times
Have there been any tests done on psychotics using sillybin mushrooms?
If you are schizophrenic or have history of schizophrenia in your family you should exercise extreme caution when using any psychedelic or cannabis.
This has been common knowledge among the community of advocates for a while.

I think microdosing might be ok
But taking an intoxicating dose would seem to be sinful and harmful, no?
I think the additional danger here is of taking someone who is depressive yet realistic and making them happy but delusional
Edit: that said, while I mostly think these substances harmful in typical (non-microdosing) doses, I do not believe they should be illegal

Appreciate the article! My fren has suffered for years with no progress in the right direction. Much love 🐸
I've never tried magic mushrooms. I wonder how different the "TRIP" is from blotter paper acid.
More earthly and spiritual

Amazing that the drug is still helping patients one fifth of a century later.

Yup. Conservatives love to talk about deep state burying cures when it's not about substances they think are 'icky'.
Very selective, very biased.
Oh definitely. I still have people pushing back on me, even though I'm citing RFK Jr. who is endorsing them now.
He knows what we know.
MDMA is also good for PTSD.
It is another thing to look into, but psilocybin has a better safety profile.

Exactly. Psilocybin allows you to bypass your ego filter and process the world holistically. Saved my life.
