Could this have been a case of natural cotton being used and it wasn't completely cleaned of all cotton seeds, shells, hulls or such? It didn't look like a bunch of bugs, but instead uncleaned cotton bolls.
yeah that was my thought too. the nice cotton gets made into shirts and stuff. the leftover stuff, which is still good at soaking up liquids but isn't so pretty looking, gets stuffed into pads. to me this is some low-iq bait
Best way is to buy cotton reusable pads and wash them.
The other thing is men and women should be wearing 100% cotton underwear instead of all the synthetic polyester garbage. There is also underwear made out of Marino wool that is shockingly very comfortable.
I agree, but that’s very hard to find, especially if you were women’s plus size. I can find all cotton or partially cotton in regular sizes. I’ve considered trying men’s because they go up to huge sizes. For women over size 18 it’s a different shopping experience. What’s crazy is I’m just over that, xxl.
It really looks like pilled filler and weird lighting because it's covering the lamp. Why not cut into one and find out?
Always used to be my brand as well, but I suddenly became allergic to adhesive in my late 20s and can't use them anymore. Also, the ones with the blue gel core or made of a rubbery material...yeah, allergic to those as well.
You know, pedes, where the saying "being on the rag" came from.
Our mothers and grandmothers used cotton cloth pads, that they had to wash and boil and reuse. Not that long ago!
Shouldn't feminists environmentalists go back to "the rag?" Should not mothers go back to white, clean, fluffy diapers for their babies??
I thought these ppl claim to be environmentalists! But they go for the convenience.
I admit, I did not boil period pads, but I DID use wonderful cloth diapers and wash them in my wonderful washing machine. Even moms who claim to be environmentally conscious, do not bother to diaper their precious babes in renewable cotton diapers! What is the tonnage of disposable diapers in land fills?!?
I used cloth diapers also and don’t regret it. I doubt most daycare’s would except them. Paying for daycare would have taken my salary and nothing left so I stayed home. I’m very grateful daycare was too expensive. Honestly I know I couldn’t have let anyone else take care of my child. However, I’m thankful I didn’t have to was rags. My grandmother talked about how bad this was for women. Can’t imagine women’s experience's before underwear was invented.
The phrase "on the rag" was because women experienced emotional changes from hormones during their periods, when they were "on the rag." Glad you get it!
YES there is nothing better for babies than cotton cloth diapers!
Instead there is now a billion dollar industry for disposable diapers, which go into the land fill! What is wrong with women now-a-days? Putting bulk diapers into the land fill, while they want to believe they are environmentalists?!? HA! like EVs and solar and wind make a difference, while tons of their diapers are going into landfills?!?
Yep. We constantly have to look over our shoulders so the "Thought Police" don't see our mistakes. We all #^[% up every single day, yet the Left only cares about a very small slice of the pie. They are too busy working about the health of a Snail Darter in a useless stream instead of taking the time to even read our Constitution.
Can you still purchase cloth diapers? Heck, I bet the diaper industry has made cloth diapers so expensive that it just plain cheaper/easier to buy a box Pampers.
I am sure one can still buy cotton cloth diapers, or hire a diaper service. I offered to pay for the diaper service for my grand-kid. You cannot imagine how expensive disposable diapers are! Buying cotton diapers is a one-time expense. Hiring a diaper service I believe is competitive with disposable diapers, esp for the parents who want the BEST not the cheapest.
They have newer diapers that are formed to fit the body so less intimating than the square style. They wrap around the baby and attach with snaps or velcro. So no more pins.
Of course! Disposable diapers cost a LOT! A diaper service is better IMHO. Although I washed them myself and have a very cute pic of my kid on a pile of fluffy clean cotton diapers!!
Then they lecture US about landfills, and contaminating the ground water! There is nothing worse for the landfills than disposable diapers; and there is nothing worse they are doing to the water than peeing birth control hormones and now abortion pee, into the water supply, And THEY claim to be the environmentalists?!? Abortion clinics flushed aborted babies into the water supply! [when they could not sell them, probably the smaller babies.]
I'll check mine... Cut them open. Granted they aren't thin like hers so it could definitely be hidden. I have no idea what to use in its place. I used a tampon once in the past 4 years and it cause a cyst so I wrote off that route. Divacup still an option. Hrmm. I read about period underwear but that's so weird. Ugh.
Never done this before... Hope these links work. I'm kinda sick to my stomach seeing this. This is an Always brand too. Not sure what is going on... Some of it looks like cotton other looks like the liner part that would me. I'll wait for husband to wake to check.
Looking at that & the pics from the video, I wonder if the dark spots are just compacted cotton (ie 10 layers/strands vs 2-3 would cause more shadowing).
Yeah... My husband said that was it and I'm freaking out over nothing but I do remember seeing a video on how those covid masks were made. Like dirty place with them on the floor sewing a long line of masks. Probably still best I look into alternate options.
They snap around underwear. They stay pretty well. I got to the point where they just weren't getting that clean anymore. Not sure if it was my detergent or washing machine. Period underwear might be better if you're athletic though.
Been using diva cup for ten years now. Once passed the learning curve it is so worth it. Takes more bathroom planning though if you're out. Less smell during your period which is great. Cleanable. No toxic shock syndrome. A little harder when you have heavy periods. I use a pad at night for insurance if I'm heavy and dead asleep because a leak from a cup is a river.
Heard that... I had heavy periods up until last month which is why I stopped using mine. I started HRT and it was medium flow. I'm curious how this month will be. BTW.. HRT... Best thing I ever did. Period talk on GAW. Who'd thought. Hahah
Hormone replacement therapy. I didn't want to rely on pharma... My history and all but the more I researched the more I was convinced it is good for aging women. First night using it my brain was more focused, no longer like having background processing thoughts. Was strange. I was only low in Testosterone so I started that about 6 weeks ago. Ill see how my bloodwork is in Dec.
I’d have that under a microscope asap. What’s even worse is tampons. The DS has attacked from so many sides that nothing should be taken for granted. BTW Toxic Shock Syndrome was caused by tampons. I think they said women left the tampon in for too long but maybe not…
Just an FYI carnivore or low carb reduces blood flow and length of time, and pain levels. Oh and stops acne in its tracks. Raise testosterone in men and balances out female hormones. Oh and when used in conjunction with intermittent fasting …weight loss without muscle loss. Oh and hair grows back. (At least mind has and I am a 68 year old female.) love just the eating!
Even the feminine & baby adult diapers that claim to be non toxic aren’t. There’s class action suits against many of the feminine product brands. I haven’t researched the other types. It’s just like eating processed foods you are taking a risk. I’ve been using the same brand pads for about ten years & received an order this week, I will be returning them. They smell just like Dollar General stores, like strong smelling soap. If you haven’t had this experience DG is bad! Even the food taste like that scent. Years ago I bought ice cream and it smelled just like the store. I get if it’s fabric, but that’s ridiculous. I’ve read the smell is from whatever they use in the warehouses to keep bugs and mice out. I don’t go to DG anymore. Sad, because they can be convenient in rural areas.
I'm curious to understand the mechanics of how the ladies from long ago were able to keep a pad in place. They didn't have nice undies with an elastic waistband, so how did they do it?
"I'm curious to understand the mechanics of how the ladies from long ago were able to keep a pad in place."
Orgone.
"Orgone was seen as a mass-less, omnipresent substance, similar to luminiferous aether, but more closely associated with living energy than with inert matter." ...orgone was conceived as the anti-entropic principle of the universe, a creative substratum in all of nature comparable to Mesmer's animal magnetism."
By concentrating Orgone in the genital Chakra through breathing exercises ye olden-day ladies could use the animal magnetism inherent in the orgone to act on the natural cotton of the pad producing a lift vector. The lift vector, functioning at 90 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the pad, gently but firmly levitated it onto the under carriage via "spooky action not at a distance." Through Orgone stacking of other energy centres in the body this technique was also useful with natural decorative merkins, non synthetic wigs and nipple pasties.
If there were that many mold colonies within the cotton, you'd see signs of it on the outside. It's lower quality cotton, you don't need good quality to soak things up.
Looks like unbleached cotton to me.
I am sorry, but I don't know.
Could be that. Could be the absorbent gel they use. Same stuff that's in disposable diapers.
Seems likely to me to be just unbleached cotton or something. If it was bugs it would have some movement going on in most cases
Best way is to buy cotton reusable pads and wash them.

I go commando as God intended.
Kek! Ok, but at least add a fig leaf!
Is this Tampon timmy's new product?
The Manpon?
I know about cotton undies. This is very disturbing. If you know ladies who need this, make sure they know.
Definitely sharing this!
Please do. Look at the article that this could be. Sure hope it's just dirt.
It’s probably recycled garbage.
Yes. More sinister would be graphene.
Could it be unbleached, or even unfiltered, cotton? Possibly cotton seeds & hulls in the pad that isn't seen but still good at absorbing liquids?
Somebody’s gonna have to be brave and cut one of those open!

Done.

Wow. It's getting bad then.
I'm pretty sure they have latex in them, and I suddenly became allergic to latex. This was about 15ish years ago now.
Interesting theory.
Did anyone open them up to look inside? I went through menopause ten years ago so I don't have any to check.
I have dog diaper I can check.
Howls. Like I said, I have dog diapers.
You know, pedes, where the saying "being on the rag" came from.

Oh. Now I understand what that mean.
My sister used cloth diaper.
The phrase "on the rag" was because women experienced emotional changes from hormones during their periods, when they were "on the rag." Glad you get it!

We’re probably all off from our convictions by at least a bit. At least I’ve addressed some of my own, but other failures have shown up.
This crap is all so exhausting.
They are all getting stupider by the day that's why. Howls.
Unbleached Sea Sponges are also reusable, they wash nicely and be cut to fit.
Can you still purchase cloth diapers? Heck, I bet the diaper industry has made cloth diapers so expensive that it just plain cheaper/easier to buy a box Pampers.

I used cotton diapers with a diaper service. I still remember the name. Di De Diaper service.
Once a week they picked them up and dropped off clean ones.
It worked perfectly.
Of course! Disposable diapers cost a LOT! A diaper service is better IMHO. Although I washed them myself and have a very cute pic of my kid on a pile of fluffy clean cotton diapers!!
I agree.
Convenience is the devil. It destroys everything.
Then they lecture US about landfills, and contaminating the ground water! I can totally see how this relates to Q and our mission... Where we go one, we go all.
u/#bahaha
Depopulation could easily use this.
I'll check mine... Cut them open. Granted they aren't thin like hers so it could definitely be hidden. I have no idea what to use in its place. Yours don’t look as bad as the one in the posted video. Good detective work!!
These don't look bad.
Oh. I should go check my dogs' diapers.
Looking at that & the pics from the video, I wonder if the dark spots are just compacted cotton (ie 10 layers/strands vs 2-3 would cause more shadowing).

I heard cloth b4.
Yeahhhh but that is dicey. How to keep in place?
They snap around underwear. They stay pretty well. I got to the point where they just weren't getting that clean anymore. Not sure if it was my detergent or washing machine. Period underwear might be better if you're athletic though.
Don't ask me. I don't sew. LOL
You can sew this onto something but don't ask me though.

What is HRT?
Hormone replacement therapy. I didn't want to rely on pharma... My history and all but the more I researched the more I was convinced it is good for aging women. First night using it my brain was more focused, no longer like having background processing thoughts. Was strange. I was only low in Testosterone so I started that about 6 weeks ago. Could it be carbon granules to absorb smells?
Can someone cut one open and do an experiment on it please? I want to know.
I’d have that under a microscope asap. What’s even worse is tampons. The DS has attacked from so many sides that nothing should be taken for granted. BTW Toxic Shock Syndrome was caused by tampons. I think they said women left the tampon in for too long but maybe not…
Can you tell me what's in there please?
Curious mind like to know. LOL
I wear only cotton clothing and bras and undies. It feels better and it's better for you.
Nice. I should do that when I am not out there hiking or skiing.
https://www.woolx.com/collections/womens/underwear Merino wool underwear - it will change your life.
Thank you. I will check it out.

Thank you. I have heard. I am trying to eat a little bit more meat right now.
Looks like the beads used for absorption that activate and expand when wet.
You mean like those beads for flowers and plants?
Exactly like that.
Thanks.

I am so glad you are making that decision. Convenience is what killed many Americans.
Ladies, please check yours and if true, let everyone know. Here is another more disturbing fact if true.
https://x.com/SeeTheBigDipper/status/1980799112011280560
I haven't had that issue for over 15 years. Looking at that, thank God. Dirty cotton, dirty whatever, YUCK
Yeah. I just hope it's not graphene.
Me too. I'll have to let my DILs know. Hopefully I'm good with a 15 year no use
Great. Let everyone know.
But what is it?
Heck if I know.
Genial day

Just a quick internet search and found possible options for ladies
Love it. Thank you. I was wracking my brain (don't have one) to see if I can come up with something. Thank you.
But what did the ladies use 100-200 years ago. I heard some went out into the woods and gathered moss. How would that work out in today's society?
Run some research. If I find anything, will let you know. Safety pin would be what I can come up with.
I'm curious to understand the mechanics of how the ladies from long ago were able to keep a pad in place. They didn't have nice undies with an elastic waistband, so how did they do it?
Oh the woes of being a knuckle dragging male.
"I'm curious to understand the mechanics of how the ladies from long ago were able to keep a pad in place."

Sanitary belts were a thing as recently as the 1970s. Before then, I'm assuming that's why they wore layers and layers of clothes.
I have no idea either.
There are more options now.
Yes, merino wool is good.
If there were that many mold colonies within the cotton, you'd see signs of it on the outside. It's lower quality cotton, you don't need good quality to soak things up.
I don't want to use it either.
