You guys have been great about providing alternative treatments for cancer and other ailments. I'm curious if yall have any tips for gum disease. My gums have started to recede pretty bad lately and I've had no success slowing it down with brushing, flossing, and using the waterpik.
Thanks frens!
Gargle with 50% peroxide 50% water every night for a few weeks
Oil-pulling
Spoon of coconut oil and keep it in in your mouth for at least 15 minutes(start with 5+ min if you need to work your way up to 15-20 min), spit it out afterwards don't swallow...it, it will be chock full of bacteria and what not and you do not want to ingest that.

edit: don't bother with aggressively swishing it about, that will only reduce the contact with teeth/gums, better to just move it around in your mouth a bit to let everything get a good soak.
I have to go to a periodontist because I have gum issues and a few years back they suggested getting one of the Sonicare ultrasonic toothbrushes, so I did and it has made a major difference. Cost about 150-175 something like that but was well worth it!
Either colloidal silver, diluted hydrogen peroxide, or mms will make a good wash to clean out bacteria. You could even do all of them (just not at the same time!). Do that for a week or two. If you go to a pure carnivore diet, you won't get more bacteria (it's the carbs that attract the bacteria) so you won't need mouthwash after the gums are clean. If you stick to a carnivore diet (or you could go keto) your gums will grow back with time. Supplement with sea salt on your food for faster healing.
If you eat a lot of cooked vegetables, starches or sweets and alcohol, you will have to brush and the healing will be slower, but it will still happen.
Anatomically, your teeth are bones that stick out from your body, coated with a protective enamel. Your gums are basically gasket seals to keep outside junk from getting into your body. Like most everything, your body will heal these things on its own if you give them rest and avoid root canals or implants.
MMS - Dr. Humble has an oral protocol and one for if you have infection specifically. Here’s a video showing all the protocols, oral one is in there.

Look up Dr. Ellie Philips on YT, she has a method, no need to buy her stuff. Certain paste, mouthwash, xylitol, gum massage.
https://youtu.be/wd5JKCXAtys
Here is a testimonial of someone who used her method, specifically xylitol for receding gums:

Look up Dr. Berg's youtube videos on healthy gums for recommendations on foods, vitamins and minerals (vit. C is a big one, but there are others). Also, Uncle Harry's toothpaste and mouthwash are very effective (read the reviews on Amazon, you can type "gum" or "receding gums" into their searchbox to get only those reviews). Also look into oil pulling (many use coconut oil).
Yes, vitamin C.
Like John Titor's heart disease protocol. Chronic sub-clinical Scurvy (vit c deficiency) Gum disease 1st clinical symptoms.
Brits became "Limeys" because UK too cold for Oranges and months at sea.
DMSO
https://naturtotalshop.com/en/dmso-regenerate-gums/
Very interested in this.. have you seen anything on how to use it for this purpose? I'm assuming create a solution and swish but curious if it needs to be diluted
From Bighteon.AI:
Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a versatile organic solvent with numerous applications, including its use in promoting gum health. DMSO has been shown to possess antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties, making it a valuable addition to oral health regimens. Here's a detailed guide on how to use DMSO for gum health, based on current research and safety standards.
Dilution and Application: DMSO is typically used topically in diluted form for oral health applications. To create a suitable mouth rinse or gel, mix DMSO with water or a carrier substance like a natural gel or paste. Here are some dilution options:
Mouth Rinse: Dilute DMSO with water in a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio (e.g., 1 part DMSO to 1 part water or 1 part DMSO to 2 parts water). Swish the solution in your mouth for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then spit it out. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day, or as needed.
Gel or Paste: Mix DMSO with a natural gel or paste, such as aloe vera gel or a mixture of baking soda and water. Apply the gel or paste directly to the gums, using a soft-bristled toothbrush or your finger. Leave the application on the gums for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with water. Repeat this process 1-2 times a day.
Gum Massage: After applying DMSO, gently massage your gums to promote better absorption and circulation. This can be done using a soft-bristled toothbrush, a clean finger, or a gum massage tool. Massage your gums for 1-2 minutes, moving in a circular motion and applying gentle pressure.
Storage and Handling: Store DMSO in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use. DMSO can be stored at room temperature, but it's essential to follow proper safety precautions when handling it.
Safety Precautions: While DMSO is generally safe for topical use, it's crucial to follow these safety precautions:
Skin Irritation: DMSO can cause skin irritation or redness in some individuals. If you experience irritation, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
Allergic Reactions: Although rare, allergic reactions to DMSO can occur. If you experience symptoms such as hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Avoid using DMSO if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as its safety has not been established in these populations.
Medication Interactions: DMSO can interact with certain medications, such as nitroglycerin and metronidazole. If you are taking any medications, consult your healthcare provider before using DMSO.
Additional Natural Ingredients for Gum Health: To enhance the effectiveness of DMSO, consider combining it with other natural ingredients known for their oral health benefits:
Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia): Tea tree oil has potent antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Dilute tea tree oil with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil or olive oil, and apply it directly to the gums or add a few drops to your DMSO mouth rinse.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa): Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound. Mix turmeric powder with water or coconut oil to create a paste, then apply it to your gums or add it to your DMSO mouth rinse.
Clove Oil (Syzygium aromaticum): Clove oil is rich in eugenol, a natural analgesic and antimicrobial agent. Dilute clove oil with a carrier oil or add a few drops to your DMSO mouth rinse.
Thank you!!
Definitely dilute at least 50% otherwise you'll be sorry. And note that it will make your breath smell garlicky for ages.
Check my MMS links above. Dr. Humble includes instructions for use of MMS with DMSO orally.
Oil pulling. I do it with coconut oil. Basically you swish the oil around in your mouth for 10 to 20 minutes and then spit it out. It pulls bacteria out of your mouth. Here's a quick video with Dr. Josh Axe explaining the benefits and how to do it. You can add a drop of clove essential oil to increase the benefits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtFzd3TBYiI
Pet theory: You are not supposed to go mad with brushing and flossing and waterpik stuff - literally separating the gum from the tooth progressively. Ease up with that. Theory is the scaling and suchlike is protective, not a fault. Well scaled up teeth have nowhere for anything to hide, and are braced against each other for extra strength. It's like Ivy on a wall - only damages the wall when removed, before that it is protecting the wall.
There's a reason that the term 'long in the tooth' means getting old. Gums recede as you get older.
I didn't know that. I'm 74. When will my gums start to recede?
I recall reading in an article by a dentist years ago that, if patients knew how beneficial coq10 was for gums, it would put them out of business. Perhaps it was an exaggeration, but a quick search will yield many results to explore. Good luck!
Are you grinding or clinching your teeth at night? Do you have a " deep" bite? Are you missing any teeth already?
Ok. No since no one is asking. Yes, teeth grinding (bruxism) can cause gum recession due to the excessive force placed on the teeth and supporting gum tissue, leading to a breakdown of gum tissue over time. The ongoing trauma your teeth are receiving is constantly moving the teeth in the bone that supports them. Thus, gums and bone being lost. This can expose tooth roots, increase sensitivity, and raise the risk of tooth decay and other oral health problems. As a Dental professional for 39 yrs, 90% of adults grind their teeth. You can have perfect oral health but if you have bruxism, you will develop bone loss and gum recession. You need a night guard to wear when you sleep. My personal opinion, I'm convinced, parasites that are inside us will cause teeth grinding.
I have heard parasites can cause teeth grinding, that’s interesting.
Yes, I think it could be tapeworms. The reason is I used to grind, get bad headaches and even chiropractor adjustments. Wasn't aware of the parasitic infestation we have until I started lurking on the 4chan and now here. When Covid came out 2020 and ivermectin was discussed, I took it and was shocked to see the evidence in my bowel movements. I stopped grinding my teeth. Yes, I'm a dental groupie. Floss, brush and very aware but I have bone loss from the movement of the teeth that my grinding and clinching did. That's why I posted my opinion. First hand experience.
I have the same problem. Spents thousands on tissue transfer, useless. I am using a product sold by The Wellness Company for this problem specifically. Been about 10 weeks and it's too early to tell. I'm giving it a year to see if there is any difference. It's 100 a month, not cheap but way cheaper than tissue transfer and I don't want to lose my teeth and end up with dentures. If I can slow or halt the process, I would be happy with it though, I'd have to stay on it indefinitely. At least until I get to my 70s.
There is research ongoing about oral probiotics in lozenge and mouthwash. Certain strains are supposed to keep your mouth microbiome healthy and protect against plaque, gingivitis, inflammation and oral cancer. Worth looking into not as a cure perhaps but an adjunct to brushing/flossing and cleanings. Rinsing with salt water also seems to help some people.
Frontier Pharmaceuticals carries an oral chlorine dioxide mouth rinse which may clear up gingivitis/gum disease and oral cavities.
If you use zyn or anything like that it is hard on your gums. Make sure to stop if you are having issues with your gums.
I swish with 3 drops of chlorine dioxide (6 drops total) mixed in double shot glass of warm water after brushing & it's helped to stop the bacterial burning etc.
Dentist wanted $3700 per service to do descaling 4x a year... Like REALLY? Nearly $15k/yr? What's your actual cost for a procedure that only takes 90-120 minutes? AND stirs up nasty bacteria I'd be breathing in...???
Good dentist? This guy is literally on the front cover... Good but I'm no schmuck.
Pff that is crazy cost for a dentist/hygienist and crazy frequency. Should be $100 or so
Apple Cider Vinegar and Aloe Vera jell.
Both work well. ACV kills all bacteria that likes to live on people, from ear infections to toe jam. And all points in between.
AV should be taken orally. It has to be the clear jell. Swish it around in your mouth for a bit, longer if you don't mind the taste.
Ask your browser about each and what they do for gum disease. There is lots to read.
Food grade peroxide, carnivore diet changed my gums dramatically too..
Yes take a swish of hydrogen peroxide in your mouth and swish for a few minutes then brush with it still in your mouth you will get a big foam up it’s kinda funny but boy are your teeth clean and hapy
Do you have a tongue tie?
Are you on a multivitamin with minerals like copper and zinc but NO IRON?
Do you get your RDA of calcium every day? Do you get a good amount of vitamin C?
Found this (Note: I'm not a dentist and do not know this dentist) - https://rosefamilydentistrync.com/signs-of-gum-recession-and-how-to-fix-it-in-graham-nc/

Worst case: my wife had to get gum grafts. It worked. The first time she had the grafts taken from the roof of her mouth. The second time she said ok to the cadaver grafts.
u/#WTF
Go to a very good dentist.
Great info! Thank you!
CoQ10 deficiency is one cause of gum disease. If you are on statins, they block the production of CoQ10. You can reverse it by applying CQ10 directly to the gums over time. There used to be a spray, but it is no longer produced. Sorry, it tastes foul, but it works.
Also, as others mentioned, vitamin C, in case you don't get much C in your diet.
My gums healed with oralive toothpaste; seems expensive but a jar lasts a long time. I used the extra strength.
