These are not RINOs. They are elected officials who betray the Americans they represent by actively engaging in working against the people’s best interest to serve either their own agenda or those of their overlords.

These are traitors to America, there is no better word for it. They are participating in the destruction of America.

Perfectly put Doug.

Man what a failure Rand Paul is.

Grassley also. He blocked many of Trumps appointments, stands in the way of FAIR elections, and is blocking the vote to override of the filibuster rule!

Both have posted on X from their official accounts that they support it. Both Rand Paul and Chuck Grassley have put out statements supporting the SAVE Act.

I asked AI why Rand Paul opposes it

Rand Paul opposes the SAVE Act because he views it as an overreach of federal power into state-managed elections, despite supporting the goal of verifying voter citizenship.

While Paul agrees that only U.S. citizens should vote, he has expressed constitutional concerns about the federal government mandating how states verify voter eligibility. He argues that election administration should remain primarily under state control, consistent with his long-standing libertarian principles and skepticism of federal mandates.

Additionally, Paul has raised concerns about privacy and data security, particularly regarding the bill’s requirement for states to share voter information with the Department of Homeland Security. He worries this could lead to federal overreach and misuse of personal data.

Although he hasn’t issued a detailed public statement specifically on the 2026 version of the SAVE Act, his past positions on similar legislation indicate his opposition stems from federalism and civil liberties concerns, not disagreement with the goal of election integrity.

The next question I would ask Rand Paul is, Are you concerned the DHS would use voter rolls to help catch and deport wetbacks?

If he says yes, remind him that the voter rolls are not supposed to include any wetbacks, as that would be a violation of law.

Yeah hard to say whats up with him. Some of what he did seemed 'we are getting to the bottom of this' and investigating actual issues - and then he would flip flop and be full RINO part of the time...and since Trump has been back seems RINO all of the time.

Did Rand Paul find a single line of text that doesn't line up 100 % with libertarians, or does he just want to cheat? I'm getting tired of "say no to everything" libertarians.

Trump understands that the path to the end goal of liberty requires less than perfect intermediary steps. Things like the Big Beautiful Bill that included many things we want, but also included some things we don't like, and costs too much. So they track these things down and accuse Trump of abandoning the cuase and being controlled by theDeepstate. ("See, told you so. You should have voted for DeSantis.") I feel that he knows this and will correct for those imperfections in later actions. We still have RINO's that we must sometimes work with. We can't just say no all the time.

I researched it, Rand WANTS fair elections, his worry is if we federalize elections and that power becomes centralized, if a democrat gains control they can say "no id required for all states" and since the federal government now can force wild rules for all states under Save Act, it is too risky.

I get understand his argument, but I don't think we will have a democratic party to compete with after 3 years.

Ultimately, such requirements need to be a constitutional amendment. It shouldn't be at the mercy of politics and is widely popular even among Democrats

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– NanoKhuma 2 points 135 days ago +2 / -0

To be honest, his point is historically moot anyways, Voting Rights Act of 1865 already interferes with elections in such a greivous way as to overshadow such a minor thing as voter ID.

Hell, the Reconstruction acts completely dissolved civilian government in the South unless they allowed blacks to vote. Surely Rand, Mr. Principled is going to advocate for the repealing the 14th amendment, since States should decide who can vote and who can't?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Mcmurdo 1 point 130 days ago +1 / -0

Libertarians generally want what conservatives want, but they generally seem to have no viable plan to get there because any path requires less than perfect intermediary steps, and libertarians can't go outside their "principles" even a little bit. So they just say no.

Rand paul claims to be but is not libertarian. I am. And it is definately libertarian to have voter ID. Somewhere along the line that douche bag has done something severly wrong and they hold it over his head. As a libertarian he never should have been elected multiple times. Collins may as well be full blown libtarded. Shes old and scared now and does as told. Scumbags

didn't watch vid but was including Rand Paul here a mistake?

(I get if he is against federalizing for keeping things in the states)

The bigger risk is illegitimate votes and loss of public trust. Voter ID is common sense. That’s why I strongly support the SAVE Act.

Voter ID isn’t controversial: 76% of Black Americans support nationwide voter ID—the core of the SAVE Act. Similarly, 85% of white voters and 82% of Latinos share this view. The left's narrative is unraveling. Americans want voter ID. Pass the SAVE Act.

💥💥💥Princess Murkowski, was handed the Alaska senator seat by King Frank Murkowski her daddy. The family has had the seat for over 40 years. Due to the election mail in ballots , rank voting and the cowardice republicans of Alaska she can do what ever the communist demands her to do. Anchorage Alaska is running out of natural gas, for 150,000 people. The local utility is making plans the ship in LNG. There’s plans for a 800 mile pipeline line from North Slope to Anchorage then to Kenai. . It will only go with President Trumps help. There needs to be a super majority. Every election talks about how one party or the other is going to sweep the election and take power, then you look after the election and it’s typical +/- 2 seats one way or the other. Why, for the love of God cant the split be 60/40. Probably because the game is rigged…

I just emailed my Sen (i am ashamed to say) from NC Thom Thillis. Demanding he vote YES on the SAVE ACT. He always does what RINOs do and be RINOs. Telling me its for my own good and that he is smarter and better at deciding what I want. Thats what he almost says in all of my emails when he responds back. Which I hate because I am totally IGNORED, as we all are. But I did send an email to him, TELLING him to vote YES on the SAVE ACT. Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) is a cosponsor of the SAVE Act in the Senate.Specifically, for S.128 (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act) in the 119th Congress (2025-2026), introduced by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT):Sen. Moran added his name as a cosponsor on January 28, 2026. He is not an original cosponsor (those date to January 16, 2025, when the bill was introduced).

The SAVE Act (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act) refers to legislation requiring proof of U.S. citizenship for federal voter registration, with recent versions (including the updated "SAVE America Act") also incorporating voter ID requirements for federal elections. In the current 119th Congress (2025-2026):House version (H.R. 22): Introduced by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX-21) on January 3, 2025. It has 110 cosponsors (all Republicans, including 53 original cosponsors). Notable original cosponsors include Reps. Andrew R. Garbarino (R-NY), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Brad Finstad (R-MN), Andrew S. Clyde (R-GA), Clay Higgins (R-LA), and Diana Harshbarger (R-TN). The bill passed the House in April 2025. Senate version (S. 128): Introduced by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) on January 16, 2025. It has 48 cosponsors (all Republicans, including 15 original). Notable original cosponsors include Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Thom Tillis (R-NC), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and others such as Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who has publicly supported and cosponsored both the original SAVE Act and its expanded "SAVE America Act" version.
