If you listened to MacGregor back in 2022, he said Russia would capture Ukraine by the end of March. Four years later, the war still rages. I respect his service, but as a talking head, his batting average is pretty low.
I guess when you make your living as a talking head, the most important thing you can do is keep talking.
I think everybody on earth thought that back 2022. Ukraine still standing is obvious evidence of Russia holding back. Pretty sure the “war” in Ukraine is something other than an actual war.
You might be right. I thought the same thing for a while, but I’ve become skeptical. Looking weak in the eyes of the world is not something Putin would want to do for a prolonged time. But, the reality is we have no true idea about what is really going on there,
For some reason there are a fair amount of people here that like MacGregor. I have no idea why - I am not one of them. He rarely gets anything right, and has been gone too long so he doesn't have any real idea what is actually happening.
As long as people still listen to him he will have a platform.
Just this week (March 5), the Indian government had to issue an official "Fake News Alert" against Macgregor. He claimed on OAN that all U.S. bases in the Middle East were destroyed and the Navy was hiding in Indian ports. India’s Ministry of External Affairs called his comments "baseless and fabricated."
Regarding Scott Ritter, he was convicted in Pennsylvania on six counts, including unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and indecent exposure. This stemmed from a 2009 police sting where he engaged in sexually explicit activity on a webcam with an officer posing as a 15-year-old girl. He served nearly three years in state prison and is a registered sex offender.
McGregor is a long retired LtC with few, if any remaining "friends" left in the military, so take what he says with a healthy dose of skepticism. He's clearly fear mongering.
Scott Ritter. IDK. Probably Conspiracy clickbait/ragebait. Videos and merch sales are his bread and butter. So there’s significant incentive to say whatever brings in the bucks. Outrage and Righteous Anger sells better than truth
MacGregor though has basically followed the normal trend of washed up retired Officers who for whatever reason couldn’t or wouldn’t try to make it any other field/industry. Which is becoming a Talking head/professional Military ‘Expert’ and Geopolitical ‘Analyst’. And much like his contemporaries talking head/professional expert field. He’s not particularly exceptional or good at either when it’s outside his very narrow range of Military expertise and real life experience.
So he could likely competently talk your ear off about the finer points of armored combat and the likely strategic choices facing an Armor Officer in a given situation. But talking the nitty gritty and finer points about the geopolitical situation that put that Officer in the aforementioned position. And the implications as to the outcome of the situation on the wider geopolitical strategic situation. His guess is as good as yours. He just knows enough of the technical jargon to make his guess sound more professional and convincing than your guess.
There’s also the very real possibility both are taking money from elsewhere though as well. There’s a lot riding on controlling narratives and influence. So they wouldn’t be the first to do so.
I think Scott needs a break, he used to be very good re his analysis but he has gone OTT now and seems to be almost rent a comment. He started banging on about Turkey and Greece going to war the other day.
Re MacGregor I read a very good comment on him that basically said his problem is he came up in an era whereby the USA always held back, it was goverened by rules of engagment and other restrictions where now the US military is beeing given licence to get the job done and use full power. Suspect Ritter may be suffering from this also.
But they are not on their own and at least have real experience unlike half of these fuckwits. My faves are those pushing China, all of their kit has failed to sto p the USA in Venezualia and now Iran. Anyway everyone us entitled to their view/opinion I guess.

Scott Ritter told the truth on the Iraq War at great personal cost.
That was then. Now is an entirely different story.
I thought MacGregor was trusted advisor…
great question, maybe it is a good thing and their listeners will realize how bad these guys are and start listening to Gen. Flynn
I’m not impressed by Judge Nap. he should bring in somebody from CentCom
I'll listen to their tactical opinions, but be advised. Both suffer from severe TDS.
Retarded shills is my guess.
But I don't know them.
Ritter is a TDS sufferor and hates Trump.
He is also a Russian troll.
That's what the iranian spokesman said also. He was once known as Bagdad bob.

They're both controlled opposition clowns.

Would explain his TDS, a common affliction with all Pedos.
The US assumed that Iran would fall after we took out it's leadership. That didn't happen.
We didn't have a Plan B
Despite everything that Trump has said, they are looking for a way out.
If we plan on a ground war with Iran, we need to call up all the Reserves and all of the National Guard up, yesterday.
The Kurdistan front has already failed.

I'm sure neither of them have read a single Q post. They are still living in the cabal matrix and the 1990's paradigm. Everyone has a part to play.
Retards.
I think it more nuanced than that.

He's speaking in actuals when the "wars" are not traditional in any way. He's an antiquated model.
They are both part of the group that believe that China (under the optics of BRICS) will rule the world and they will be beneficiaries of this change.
Everything they predict and all their opinions make perfect sense once you realize this

Because they think that Trump has
Except of course when the fight is already won. ...
But China is no threat. No not at all. Are you crazy.
Macgregor also claimed something like that about Iran. ....
So, although I like his analysis when it is about tank maneuvers, their analysis is limited.
But listen carefully. They always argue from the hypothetical.
Fear or irrelevance(fear because of guilt?) denial and the 'I can't hear it tra -la-la, I can't hear it!' reflex.......
