The Supreme Court is currently considering a case that could lead to stricter rules on mail-in ballots, including potentially striking down laws that allow ballots to be counted after Election Day. I would look for slight marks to the ballot envelopes or curiously placed holes to help the machines sort votes without needing to open the evenlope.
