Literally blood money. The Metcalfs should sue them civilly, but being decent people, they probably dont want it. I hate that the murderers name is famous but Austin Metcalf's is not.

Kumelo's family blew all that money on stuff instead of investing in his defense? They used a public defender (free for them but we paid for it), and he blew it mainly because his client was guilty in the first place. Why don't the haters go after the public defender or the stupid family? Because they have misplaced anger due to generations of propaganda and straight up brainwashing by the deepstaters who pretend to care about them.
The trial attorney was private. BUT, the appeal is with a public defender.

Howard’s defense team argued that Anthony acted in self-defense during the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf at a Frisco track meet, but a Collin County jury rejected this claim.
Following Anthony’s conviction and 35-year prison sentence, he filed an appeal claiming he was "penniless" and could not afford further legal representation. The court granted his request for a court-appointed attorney, assigning Donny Perales of Chesley & Perales to represent him during the appeal process. Anthony has been transferred to the Wallace Pack Unit in Texas to begin serving his sentence."

I figure they are gonna double dip soon enough. The family that is. With Anthony’s appeal, he’s already sayings he’s a penniless indigenous, and that he’s praying for the court to assign him lawyer for his appeal. Time for the family to get Ben Stiller or some other actor to say “let’s raise some money for….” And boom, family becomes millionaires. Another cash payout for a family of a murderer.
Now the family should be audited. Those funds where for a gofund me for karmelos legal fees. Not new cars and houses that I bet smell like weed and fried food. They committed fraud by spending it on anything else.

He may have a sub-Saharan IQ, but sooner or later it will dawn on him: "Couch Momma and Probably Daddy spent my defense funds for a house they get to live in, plus a Suburban to cruise around in, instead of a good attorney."
If the Metcalfs don't get it, plus the cash, the money will still be long gone when he gets out in 20 years.

My confusion came from my original post how the Fundraising Company shut down the account due to the fact that he was found guilty. With a guilty judgement the rules of said company closes the account and refunds all donations back to the original donor. Now not so much.
