Yes. With all the lies being told by Big Government, Big Pharma, and Big Medical we (collectively) have been sent backwards by 1000+ years in our approach to medicine. Instead of doing systemic studies using the scientific method, we rely on word of mouth which is a bit more rigorous than an old wives tale. The word of mouth and anecdotal evidence carries much more weight than anything that Big Healthcare produces.
It's really a sad state of affairs.

I live in Minnesota, too. Like you, I mostly listen to podcasts. Have learned many things about Walz today.
I don't think they could have put together a worse ticket.
I think that this was done on purpose to clear the path for new candidates at the DNC convention. I think it's shaping up to be Must-See-TV.
As far as getting a better governor goes, I think we are too corrupt voting-wise. Remember when the GOP took the state house and senate by surprise because the DFL voting volunteers were so focused on the gubenatorial race? The DFL governor won. (DFL - Democratic Farm Labor party, because plain old Democrat isn't left enough!) That told me everything I needed to know about the corruption.
There is no way this state would go republican in the house and senate and then go DFL for governor.
When I first moved here 25+ years ago, I was told that republicans could run Jesus on the cross in this state and he STILL wouldn't win. I believe it now.
My brother. He took the covid vaxx. Not sure if/how many times boosted. His wife and wife's family are totally in the dem tank. He keeps his head down and mouth shut most of the time.

Still not convinced that the DNC convention will not do an upset on Kamala. If they do, Kamala is the one who gets hurt. Walz is not presidential. He has topped out. So, if the DNC flips the tables on kamala, she is the only one who takes the hit. Walz goes back to being governor with nary a blip.

I don't think his whole - George Floyd/Antifa/BLM/Let Minneapolis Burn/Defund the Police is going to bring enough gravitas to the ticket.
