Wife and I bought our house in 2021; the house is over 100 years old with plaster walls. In remodeling the house, I learned to do smooth coat plaster to keep the walls original, and added a couple of arch ways and new hardwood floors.
Still have a lot of work to do on it yet, but very happy with what we have.
If I am reading this right, I think OP may have it backwards in the title. Please correct me if I am wrong.
From the bill, it states:
(a) In general.—There shall be allowed as a deduction an amount equal to so much of any overtime compensation received by an individual as does not exceed 20 percent of such individual’s other wages from the same employer for the taxable year.
So if you're making 50k/year, you are allowed a deduction on the first 10K of OT earnings.
If you make, as an individual, more than 100k/yr, or 150k/yr for HoH or 200k/yr MFJ, then you are not able to claim the deduction.
It also says you can claim a deduction; your paycheck will still be taxed as it is, but when you file then you can claim a deduction for the amount you were over-taxed.
This also starts only when the bill is finally passed and ends on 12.31.2029.
I said the same thing in early 2020 with the panic. I tried to keep this in mind, as I was called a murderer, part of a death cult, told to wear a mask.
I lost a good career because I challenged this brainwashing. I cannot forget, and I struggle to forgive. All this time that has passed, and none will admit they were terrorized or manipulated and would rather just let it be in the past. I'm struggling to have sympathy anymore.
I sure could use that 5k to pay down debt and put something into savings. If clowns who had no problem with the payments to criminal aliens want the money to go to the debt, they can send their return to the federal reserve.
This is welcome news but I still haven't forgotten that during the Occupation Wall Street days, it was Citibank that had called the police on their customers who were trying to withdraw their own savings and had them arrested for trespassing.
Seriously. Unless there are actual penalties, beyond being fired, this just encourages the criminals to cover their asses better.
Anybody want to try stealing shit from their employer and see if the only penalty of being caught is getting fired?
Got an email from ms this morning telling me I was at risk of losing my one drive or something for not having accessed it for 2 years. Since I hadn't accessed it, and didn't remember even using it I deleted the email. Got notice on several of my win10 pcs that there was an update ready to install today. Since I am working on stuff and I hate running updates when things are running OK, I paused it for seven days to ignore it. Now I see this. Thanks for the heads up that this is happening, even if I don't use cloud storage.
I remember about 10 years ago or so, there was talk about pushing a bill or something regarding The Right To Be Forgotten. So that old posts or comments online could not be used against a person.
I don't know how old these posts were for this young man, but I know that if my post history was tied to my name and it was searchable, I would never be employed, housed, or allowed to have a bank account.
I also learned by 1998, to never use my real name on any kind of forums or social media accounts, for this reason.
The only reason Canada began implementing this border control was because they saw the writing on the wall. They had over 3 and a half years to do something but chose not to, until it was clear that Trump was coming back and wasn't going to play games.
I understand that there will be pain coming, but will the pain be any worse than the slow bleed we've experienced for the last 30+ years? Sometimes we have to rip the bandage away so a festering wound can get fresh air and light to heal.
I would rather pay more for products that are made in American by Americans, knowing that my neighbors are able to support themselves and their families, than seeing our money be sent to foreign nations. Especially those that are hostile towards us.
If they've done their due diligence, they should be safe. If not, then they can all hang together.
I once worked at a restaurant where I replaced an illegal who was deported. 9 months later he was back and they rehired him. I was pushed out at the sametime. I called and reported the company but don't know if anything came of it.
If schools had the resources freed to serve the children of American citizens, imagine how much better quality education they could receive.
Instead we get lowered standards, multi-cultural propaganda, wasted resources to print everything in 50+ languages, and provide education services for citizens and the children of foreign nations.
So, the ADL is going to be targeted?
