The WEF thinks the Bible is religion? I thought religion was your relationship with the higher power you believe in…

Here is the actual C.S. Lewis quote: “Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point, which means at the point of highest reality. A chastity or honesty or mercy which yields to danger will be chaste or honest or merciful only on conditions. Pilate was merciful till it became risky.”

In the usual listing of the virtues, the word for courage is fortitude.

Lewis identifies the most important virtue as courage because without courage you can’t practice the rest of the virtues. Being virtuous only until it requires serious risk to yourself, shows that your virtues are fictitious. This concept became apparent during the vax mandate era. I used the CS Lewis quote about courage in my religious exemption letter to my company.

I won’t have any difficulty boycotting any of these companies. Too bad about Levi’s but I think they’ve been woke for quite a while.

Yeah Virginia! A few years ago I considered fleeing my adopted home state. Glad I stayed. Montana is stunning but lacks the lushness and four seasons of the Virginia mountains.

So sorry for your loss! Your husband sounds like a kind, intelligent, caring man and 55 is too soon. I lost a brother-in-law, aged 56, in Aug. 2021 - heart attack, totally unexpected, since he was fit, athletic and seemed the picture of health. I’ve been trying to help my sister deal with the grief as much as I can. I have a lot of personal experience with grief, so I will be sending prayers and good wishes for your healing and comfort.

Most truly American culture celebrates conservative values like family, freedom, and rugged individualism. There are groups in Eastern Europe that do cowboy/western re-enactments and I hear it’s wildly popular. I think a 4th of July parade with hokey floats and high school marching bands where people line the sides of a small town Main Street is an example of uniquely American culture. As is a backyard cookout.

When my son was in 7th grade (c. 2008) at a private Christian school, they hired a Ukrainian guy (who had married an American and recently moved here from Ukraine) to teach 7th grade. The dude chastised my son and other kids for their exuberantly friendly behavior - such as high-fiving each other. He told me, when I asked why this was a problem, that in his country this would be considered improper behavior in school. He wanted the kids to be somber little scholars…. I told him that as long as they were not overly disruptive in class, I thought the kids were being normal happy 12 year olds and high-fiving was part of their culture, which ought to be respected.

My best guess is it’s because most of them come from Christian families or were at least steeped in the western judeo-christian tradition - 10 commandments, the Bible, Christmas, etc. They think are rebelling against their own evil intolerant culture or their parents’ religion, where they can make the strongest impact and cause the most hurt and shock with the least risk to themselves. Attacking Muslims might be dangerous!

I sure wish these tools would provide some clear details about exactly how they suppose we Trump supporters are destroying democracy — a bunch of (a mere 80 million or so in US) mostly humble lower middle to middle class working folk who are simply pointing out how certain wealthy politicians and billionaires are destroying our world.

If Barbara Bush is a man, then I wonder who gave birth to a Jeb & W….

I keep wondering what and who is causing these corporations to act against their own financial interests. Normally, stakeholders are all about profits. I would really like to know exactly what powerful entity is telling Fox and Budweiser and others what to do — and what methods are they using to get them to obey. What are they more afraid of than going broke? Or are they being promised something of great value like Loretta Lynch on the tarmac? My intuition tells me that corporations with conservative customer bases are likely being threatened rather than bribed.

Well we have several million information warriors so good luck with that. I thought the DS gave information control their best shot in 2020-22…. And hopefully by now they are losing power.

I compared your link to his picture on his Wikipedia. His eyes, brows, and face shape look different in addition to the differently textured hair and smoother skin that you mention. I need to find an earlier video and compare the voice too. Someone mentioned he’s had facelifts. I don’t know much about what plastic surgery can do, but it it’s him, he’s had some dramatic work done.

All of these characters exist on the surface level. One thing my work vax mandate taught me is that the nicest, most intelligent people on the surface, people you’ve worked with daily for 10 years, when faced with mild inconvenience, will not even consider going against authority, especially if the authority is paying them. But about 1-2% of us resisted, gave our reasons, and remain uninjected. So, just maybe, 1-2% of those myths are true. Except maybe the honest politician.

I think you’re on to something. When people truly perceive the truth that we are eternal spirits, the fear of death dissolves. Oh we may fear loss of loved ones and various kinds of suffering during our short stay on earth, but the sting is gone. They really need us to believe that these bodies and this world filtered through our five senses is all there is. The fear of death is perhaps the very foundation of their power. Take away that fear, and the bottom falls out of their control system.

Well okay. I am the most non-confrontational soul on earth. But like a peace-loving hobbit who needs to destroy the ring of power, I am ready to step up when all the good I love is threatened. The clouds of evil have cast their shadow and are approaching even my peaceful rural mountain home — my shire. East Palestine shows the evil ones will not leave even the rural places and small towns alone. I am ready to fight as needed, though for me it will probably be pen rather than sword. But I am also polishing up my armor.
