Slippery slope. It's possible. Even likely. But to assume and state it as a fact that cannot be debated or questioned, without hard evidence makes us no better than people that "trust the science". We are on the side of truth are we not? Even if that truth is not what we wanna hear. We should be skeptical of all things untill proven, that goes for even things that our biases agree with.

I find it sad and telling that people ratio a comment that is completely rational, just not what would fit with the bias of the community. We need to stay rational yet open minded on most topics even if they go against our bias or even our side.
