They've used contracted military while limiting civilian casualties... Ofcourse they're not going to mow down Ukrainian soldiers hiding out in schools, civilian apartments, critical infrastructure. They lost some land to Ukraine but quickly adjusted and they took back some of it. 300,000 soldiers is only 1.1 % of Russias reserve of 25Million men.

The vaccine creates more variants. We all know viruses get more contagious but less deadly as they fight to survive. I'm a firm believe that's why the flu shows up around 'flu season' and free flu shots are given out before.
