In my mind, the fact check just makes this guy's actions more admirable. If they were telling us we were in the midst of the deadliest pandemic mankind had ever experienced, why the fuck were they pub-crawling? With a camera crew, too.

I was under the impression that your comment related to the idea that the banks are "lending into existence" newly-created money (not theirs, not borrowed either) and experiencing a windfall from the mortgage payments. It would seem natural to want to repeat this process as many times as possible, therefore the "churn". Am I wrong?
About 10 years ago, my wife and I watched every episode of Little House on the Prairie and then The Waltons. When we started watching, we lived in a normal house on a small lot. By the end of the last episode, we were living in the woods completely off-grid. Those were good times.
That's probably the best that could be done with those ingredients.
