However, this is not the bike of somebody who would consider themselves a biker. This is a weekend rider at best.
That's sickening. Depending on my mood, if I were next to that guy in traffic, I might just jump out my car, yank that fucking mask off his face, throw it on the ground, stomp on it, and shout at him "You just lost your man card!"

That bugs in the teeth shite is just that. When they go in your eye and you are going interstate and can't pull over with decent enough light to get it out immediately your fucking eye swells up like a ripe gourd and turns red as some vile hell spawn/ alien child. At highway + speed you feel the impact on your eyeball and then every minute after that it's like hessian underpants. ... and I always wore full face helmets. I would just flip the visor up on a nice day every now and then ...... bang, right in the fucking eye. Give me teeth anyday of the week.
Yeah it smacks you hard and your eye gets covered in bug juice. It's fucking disgusting.
Also had a spider crawl on my face inside the helmet at highway speeds, it had been hiding in my helmet overnight.
I'm from Arizona, I always check my helmet and shoes before putting them on. When I was a kid, I had the same helmet experience as you but I was on a dirt bike and I was going off a jump.
I also got hit by a big beetle we call a june bug. It hit me square in the middle of my goggles covering them with beetle juice. I was traveling about 85-90 MPH, the impact hurt like hell. Good times ...

I will admit that I've used bandanas around my nose to stop some of the wind itch. I moved on to a full face helmet and that fixed it all anyway.
I have a windshield...a bandana is certainly acceptable but not a face mask! Lol

Also when i was a kid (teen ager) helmets were not cool. Never wore one, drove a kawasaki mach III, fastest production bike at the time. 2 stroke.

As a lifelong motorcyclist I can attest that bugs in your mouth suck, why I usually wear full helmet.
Yeah a helmet is far more effective at protecting your face from flying objects while on a motorcycle. This guy is just failing to look cool in yet another way.

That is probably the first proper use of a covid mask I have seen, being that those are palm trees in the background and it is spring, he is probably using it to keep bugs out of his mouth.

A couple days ago I saw some soyboy riding a moped while wearing one of those personal protective bubbles. The same kind as the 2 hikers were wearing in that recent pic that went around. He looked stupid AF and I could only shake my head.

Some bugs are tasty. I know from personal experience. I'm not sure what type of insect I bit on, but it tasted kind of like lemon.
