Yeah especially considering attending Pembroke is expensive, and athletics are actually one of the main reasons the parents pay for their children to attend this private school. These kinds of ridiculous masking mandates are hindering their ability to compete and thus seek future athletic scholarships or potentially move into athletic careers.

My brother sent me a video the other day of my nephew participating in his track and field race with a mask on...I commented how crazy and insane this was.
He agrees, but the "rules" the school has in place keep them from unmasking.
He wouldn't be able to compete in the event.
I can't believe we've reached this place now where healthy kids (who don't get sick from the virus) have to wear a mask to compete in sports and while they're in school. Yes, this is a very deep blue state that they live in.
To bad a bunch of adults can't slip back into school and just simply not comply....if half the students would do that, it would turn them to using water cannons....and the optics would not be worth it.
I hope they never use water cannons on high school kids, but something should be done by the parents getting together to try and ban masks when kids are participating in sports and competing.

I didn’t mean any offense to your brother. It’s easy to say what I’d do if that was me, but I’m not sure how I would feel in the same circumstances. My teenage daughter wears a mask to school, even though she knows they are BS, but she doesn’t want conflict, including a dad who makes a scene to the school administrators, so we just hold our breath and wait for the all-clear sign. Parents walking with kids who are both masked. People with masks rush across the street as I approach walking outdoors without a mask. Mind boggling.
We were riding our motorcycles in a neighborhood and passed a woman who was out walking with a gator up over her mouth and nose. She saw us coming towards her, moved far off the side of the road to get away from us, pulling up her mask (gator) and holding her hand over it. Sheesh!

I'm in Ohio so we still have this damn mandate, in fact in Cuyahoga County we have an actual snitch hotline set up for the purpose of reporting people - there was an article in the Gateway Pundit about it - so I'm not trying to draw attention to myself that way (especially with a ccw), but the minute I walk out of anywhere I have to wear a mask, I tear the damn thing off my face the very second I can. It seems to shock some people, which I just find funny.
I saw a dog group at a nearby park last week that was a mixture of people wearing masks and not wearing masks -- you know, as it should be where people get to decide for themselves what an acceptable risk mitigation strategy should be. These mask mandates are nothing but medical theater.
There really is a kind of religion developing around the masks. It's these people's false version of the Crucifix. They seem to believe the mask will simply ward off the evil virus by its presence. Those without must be possesed and must be avoided.
He could have very well save their lives. There were several instances reported when kids wore masks during gym class almost died of bacterial pneumonia. I too would like these players protest supported by their parents.

My son's college football coach just told the team today that they must take the vaccine by the fall as its "selfish" if you don't take it. We need more coaches like the HS coach above!! My son said no by the way....
I’ve had to write 2 emails to 2 different soccer leagues regarding my son wearing a mask while playing soccer. I said, the kids sprint up the field while playing and if a kid passes out there will be serious consequences. Both organizations wrote back and said they would not require the kids wear masks. They were lucky because I was ready to fight! Some things are wrong and I can’t let it go.

My son's HS baseball coach told them recently take the mask down when you are running. While he isn't standing up to the policy the way this brave coach at Pembroke did, he is at least concerned with health issues of running and breathing hard in a mask.
