I've been meaning to buy a MyPillow for a while now, but unsure which firmness I should get.
There is the guide, but due to periodic neck issues I often wake up with a headache. Currently I sleep with one of those foam ergonomic pillows with the dip in it, but will sleep with no pillow for a stretch as the neck issue typically lasts for a short time.
Any who, now that I've TMI'd yall, hoping to find out how thin is the Premium/Giza Elegance "least fill", or "medium" for the Classic.
Thanks!
Edit: Not so much the thinness per say, but more how much it compresses when you lay your head down to sleep.
Why is this stickied?? Because we're WINNING SO HARD, so, why not have some fun? This post is hilarious in that it even exists. On what planet should this be be a post? And yet, as I sticky this, it has 12 comments. Pillow firmness? These are clearly GAW concerns!!! Especially for our pedes that might need a bit more firmness in their lives, LOL
Let's get this 60 upvotes and everybody have a smile at this today. Love from your mod team.
Clearly this is sticky worthy material for gaw. Lols. I’ve done my part by upvoting and commenting.
Thanks for the laugh
Hey, its fair, he supports the USA and we support him back. I don't think the Great Awakening would happen as fast without his work. That and I support Mike because he annoys the crap out of the deep skank.
KEK
I have the medium classic. Not thin at all. I love mine!
Does it compress much when you lay your head down on it? That's where I'd need the thinness really. Thanks!
I have the firmest, and it doesn't compress much.
You know how your head will sink down into a normal pillow, then the rest of the pillow tries to fluff up around you and move your head around? That doesn't happen on a MyPillow.
Imagine that you took a couch cushion off an old square couch (that yellow spongey stuff that was soft to sit on but held its shape), chopped it up, and shoved it into a pillowcase. Then, it was prayed over that any patriot who laid their head upon it would experience a good night's sleep.
That's a MyPillow. In fact, I think that's exactly how Mike Lindell makes them. I recommend going for medium firmness while they're on sale. The only difference is you'll pop it in the dryer a lot to re-fluff it.
i have a classic as well, it is pretty thick and tends to compress about halfway. it kind of hugs your head and helps me keep my neck straight at night as i tend to curl up, you can breathe through it pretty well too, you could always put one of your old pillows under it if you feel it needs to raise up more. I have TMJ and mypillow helps me a lot, I recently also bought a body pillow (from mypillow) to help keep me from rolling while i sleep and i recommend it for folks like me that have problems getting into odd positions while they sleep and waking up with achey pains that can last for a day or more because of it.
Also have the medium classic. I used to wake up with a sore neck and was lacking mobility in my right shoulder when I used a memory foam cool fill pillow. Since switching, both of those problems have subsided.
You won't regret buying a spectrum. Each will work in it's own way in different positions.
You might want to check out an experienced chiropractor.
I was updoot 17 yeeeeooohhh!!!
TIPPY TOP, patriot!!!
I farking love this place man. What a day! What with the 3 movies playing at once, Durham’s latest indictment, Virginia demolition, Sth Oz nurse truth, Italy rolling back the covid deaths, etc etc... It’s bloody well HAPPENING alright!
The thinest is pretty thin. The medium compresses about an inch and a half.. The full one doesn't compress at all
I am picky about pillows and after a lot of research/disappointment I have come to the conclusion that the shredded-anything pillows don't work the best. For me the best pillow is one-piece latex Talalay - without its cover this just looks like a pillow-shaped thing full of small holes.
It's great for sleeping also the advantage that you can't get murdered by someone stuffing it over your face.
So... It's Clinton proof?
Handy for when the wife is angry with you.
Just buy one, they are great
I have neck issues, and suffer from migraines. I would highly suggest not making the change to a MyPillow for your head. If you're using one of those memory foam pillows with the "swoop" in the middle -- that's your best bet. The problem with regular pillows is that the edge under your head and neck compresses, allowing your neck (and chin) to sink towards the mattress unnaturally. This is not the proper position for the cervical spine (despite Mike Lindell's commercial trying to make his pillow sound superior).
The best position for your head, especially if you have neck issues, is for your face to be parallel to the ceiling, with the curve of the back of your neck supported. You might start out that way with a regular pillow, but as the night wears on and you move around, that position changes. The firmness of the edge of the memory foam-type pillow will help hold your head in the correct position.
Hope this helps. Neck pain is no fun!
Well, it's kind of a weird thing. It started about 20 years ago, where back then I always slept with thick if not double pillows. Out of the blue I was waking up with splitting headaches, which never having had migraines I'm guessing they were/are. This would go on for a few days to a week or so, and then I'd be fine for awhile. So over the course of a couple years of this happening periodically, I found out if I slept with a single/thinner pillow I was fine. I've also gone through periods where I have to sleep with no pillow.
While it still occurs occasionally, the headaches aren't nearly as bad now, plus I've discovered Excedrin lol
But my pillow, I sleep on it upside down with the larger lobe between my mattress and the wall with the smaller lobe under my neck. I came across this way during a period of morning headaches and have just stuck with it now.
Otherwise though I don't have any neck issues, and really the only reason I use the swoop pillow is my sister bought it, didn't like it, gave it to me and was thinner than my other pillow which was a thicker memory foam pillow with a gel cushion. Really comfy, but terrible when my neck acted up.
Appreciate the input. probably just stick with what I got for now being I don't particularly need a new pillow ATM. It was fricking Bannon and his WarRoom advertising the latest sale on em lol.
I’ve had the Giza my pillows for about a year & love them. If they start to sink down in the night, I just give them a little fluff & they’re back to perfect for me. Mike had a sale going on the classic standard pillows for $19.99 so I bought 4 as Christmas presents. Then Mike had the classic sale again so I bought 2 more for my RV. I could kick myself for not paying close enough attention. The classic standard ones (realizing once I opened mine for the RV) are fairly small. So now the Christmas ones that I got for my adult kids will probably go to my grandkids instead. In all fairness to Mike, it states standard, queen & king on his site. I guess standard are for twin beds. I don’t know what I was thinking lol. As far as firmness, I just went with the medium.
I use the regular, non firm pillow. Honestly the best pillow I’ve ever tried. I use to work at a furniture store, tried a variety of high end memory foam pillows at home, nothing compared to this one. Soft, but supports your head still.
As for the for the compression, it does compress quite a bit. I have a memory foam mattress with a topper, soft, plush feel overall and I sink in a bit, so I needed something thin, the medium has the thinness I’ve been looking for. Firm might have been to stiff, and pushed my head up high. But I haven’t tried firm so I can’t say.
Hopefully this helps. :)
Went with Classic with recommended fill and it was too thick for my liking. Tried the Giza lowest and second lowest fill and I think they're great! I can use both for back and side sleeping, but I tend to prefer the lowest fill. I also have ergonomic pillows in my arsenal. Gotta be prepared!
As a side sleeper, something too firm feels like my cheek or my jaw is digging in after a while but, I like the memory foam style.. usually end up sleeping with my head at the edge of the pillow though.. I have not gotten a my pillow, would have to know if they are only good for back sleepers who don't shift positions much or if they have one for side sleepers. heh.
You can fluff the foam bits around to shape your head easily. I mostly side sleep and it's the best pillow I've ever used.
TY!
I have two classic pillows and they are great- I am a side sleeper with a sleep disorder- I am sleeping much better after getting these, even after the news I see on this board. They are washable and look like they will last ten years. I am getting the sheets soon. Has anyone bought the dog beds?
I use 1 thin soft foam for head and another thin soft foam rolled under my neck.
they use to be pillow toppers many years ago
havent seen this foam consistency now but worth trying different
get the most firm one and then remove the stuffing till you like it
Buy them all! Support the armor piercing shell, that is Mike Lindell!
I love Mike....but I bought several different types of "my pillows' and they were no good for me. They are fluffy to start, but during the night, the filling separates and it flattens where my head is... I was constantly re-fluffing my pillow...
Stick it in the dryer with a wet towel when it does that. I do it every couple weeks.
I bought mediums then opened up the end and removed stuffing until I got comfortable then sewed her back up. I like a thin pillow and this fits the bill. But I do fluff it up and fold for tv watching.
I got one for my wife and she liked it so much that I bought one. I followed the guide for firmness.
However, I kind of don't love this pillow. I have to rotate it at least twice a night and all the fill just migrates away from my head. If your experience is like mine, your head will wind up on the mattress one way or another.
For what it's worth, she now sleeps primarily with the Purple pillow. We have Purple, Dreamcloud, MyPillow, whatever Bellagio uses, and others. Frankly, I was happier with the old, dirty pillow I used in college.
I do recommend the MyPillow towels though. They're great.
I had intense back and neck problems for over 15 years from a major accident, including a fractured spine. Then a friend introduced me to this book, which thinks outside the mainstream healthcare industry box. Within a year my problems are gone. This group is always questioning the norm, and yet we fall in line when it comes to mainstream medical solutions. If you take an honest approach, thoroughly read, take personal inventory, I know this can help many of you here. Two books, I read them both, but they are essentially the same, are available on Amazon as well: Dr. Sarno
