The UN troops are obviously wearing and impersonating our police. If a policeman/woman doesn't display their badge with the badge # on it, that is a good sign they really aren't police....
The miners strike in the UK in the 1980's - there were several large battles in mining towns in the North of England and South Wales between strikers and the police. Many of these battles had soldiers dressed up in police uniforms. In many cases no warrant number visible on the uniform. Numerous people I know claim to have seen room fulls of what were obviously soldiers in police uniforms waiting around in case there was trouble on a picket line.
I would actually suspect many of the goons policing the protests in Ottawa are either Americans or maybe even Latin Americans working for one of these large PMC's. I'm sure I saw something about PMC's being used during hurricane Katrina and the aftermath in New Orleans.

Number of hunting licenses in the USA, 15,202,669. The number of active members of the US military, 2,233,050. I know this isn’t a very technical comparison, but my point is, anyone proactive enough to obtain a hunting license is comfortable with a firearm, and certainly values freedom.

Their bullet proof armor means little. Bullets are designed to expand so they do not go through the target and all the killing force is applied to the target. Imagine getting hit with 2,000 ftlbs of force in a .25” spot. Oh, good, it didn’t penetrate! But it still broke all your ribs and your ribs punctured your internal organs and You died anyway. That’s not even mentioning steel core AP ammo. Ceramic plates will block one bullet before they are worthless. Full armored troops will be slow and obvious if they are decked out like that. Huge slow targets. Armor is not as big a deal as you might think, and if it is really so great, you can buy some too. Just save up some money, a lot of people already have their own sets. I’d rather not be seen than be a huge walking tank/target, but that’s just me. All of this is hypothetical Minecraft tactics, of course.
Edit: also, the truckers are deliberately unarmed and outgunned. It’s a peaceful protest. Of course the riot squad has superior gear. The truckers left all their gear at home because it’s a peaceful protest.

I agree, my point was that it doesn’t make them terminators or something. If they get hit, they will be down and out for the count regardless of whether they live or not.
Wounded are worse for an enemy to deal with than dead. Casualties require care and logistics efforts and can take multiple people out of the fight while moving the wounded to a secure location and caring for them.

I have a special needs daughter so selling my house is complicated , but I did buy a small RV so I can be ready to head for the hills if or when needed !! I often pray for retired military , so many of our men are losing their lives to suicide and other situations and we do need them ! Next question is how many fully armed, experienced, hardened military veterans, hunters and well armed civilians are there in the U.S. Hunters in this country who regularly purchase a big game hunting licenses are well trained sharp shooters and know how to stalk their prey. There are roughly 11 million hunters in the United States. The total number of UN troops stands at around 97,000. I say the UN would be crazy to step foot on our shores!
