I'm a pretty big Truth Shall Set Us free guy, but I also find this suboptimal at best and "troubling" on a sliding scale downward at worst.
We'll see how it... Develops (!) but as someone who highly values anonymity and personal computing security I'm not happy. I only choose to install a small handful of apps on my phone, and nothing even close to as possibly incendiary as a Social Media app.

Why are the boomers downvoting you I guess they all have iPhones probably hold them really far away from their faces as they squint and try to push the newfangled buttons. I'm incredibly saddened and concerned that they only did the iPhone version it is much harder to get a app on the Apple store than it is on the Android store The fact that they haven't even done Android and only accomplished Apple is really weird.
