Please report back..I have to fly in a few weeks and have been dreading it. Have avoided it until now, but can't put this one off. I'm eager to hear how others fare with this.
Same here, my strategy… always have a drink in hand. Most attendants don’t give a shit.
but there is always that ONE Karen who spoils it for everyone.
The trick is to always ask that specific Karen for another can of soda. Don’t drink it all though, just tiny sips when she’s is in sight, then when they go around with the trash bags, dump it.
It’s about ducking time.
No masks at the Oscar’s
No masks at the Grammies
No masks at the Super Bowl
No masks for first class air travel
No masks in Washington DC for politicians
First a district appeals court covering multiple states would hear any appeal from a decision made by a single federal judge. Then, if further appealed, it would need to see if the supreme court would take up the case in the next session or leave the judgement of the appeals court.
Just because the FAA and DHS can't mandate masks on airplanes... doesn't mean that the individual air carriers can't mandate them.
These are the same companies that required 100% of their pilots and air crews to take an experimental "vax" that may have ruined their health and ability to continue flying. The airlines haven't been known for making good decisions lately.
Agreed but the major carriers have all petitioned biden to lift the mask mandate in a letter sent to the WH back in late Feb or early March so I can't see why they would continue the mandate if they don't have to. I guess we will see.
Regardless of law or mandates, this stuff trickles down really really slow. So airlines will still operate under the old ‘law’, even if you are 100% justified.
(And yet... Somehow I think it will take a while for this to trickle down to the buses in L.A., proudly parading the message "masks required by federal law" despite the obvious falsehood for the last 2 years. Fortunately it's often ignored.)
DIL reports that flight attendants announced the court decision as their flight was landing. Everyone ripped off their mask and started cheering! It will be hard to pull this one back.
And how long before we hear the leftists crying "My mask only works if you wear your mask! You're endangering me and inhibiting my ability to travel safely! That's because... Scyence!!"
The important part of this ruling is that the CDC exceeded its “statutory authority”. None of the government entities can enforce this. They have a set amount of time and they exceeded it. They won’t win on an appeal.
Yeah, sounds good but I'll believe it when I see it in practice.
Not gonna judgefag this thing. Judges haven't shown me much lately to inspire a lot of confidence. Lawyers get to them. They're corrupt/corruptible. On appeal, xyz happens. Etc.
I'm flying this week. Will be interesting to see the maskurbators reaction when I am freestyling. Lol
Holy crap, upvoted to infinity if it were possible
Awesome job Jaypal

Then ask for another one.
Not now - I'm batin'.

Only masks for peasants
There was masking in first class on Delta...just saying.
I stopped flying Delta since this shit show started happened.
their first class pods were quite nice though, had a good time on the way to Tokyo.
I recommend they rebrand to ‘Omicron’ instead :)
Higher court reversal in 3…..2……1…….

Always
I came here to literally type this, with the 3...2... and everything. Niceman!
Like minds, fren. 😜

Good point. They do want to sell plane tickets, after all.
Regardless of law or mandates, this stuff trickles down really really slow. So airlines will still operate under the old ‘law’, even if you are 100% justified.
There was no requirement by all the "same companies" that required 100% to get vaccinated....this is not a true statement.
That's wonderful!

Unfortunately :(
The only reason I won't be flying anywhere soon is the mask requirements. The first airline who rescinds their masking order will get my business.
Planning a 20 hour drive, one way, next month. I'm not wearing a mask.
I'm a bit concerned about shedders and having to breathe in that recycled poisonous air.

I agree. I could see the customer backlash if this decision is reversed.
I’m on my first maskless flight right patriots- it’s glorious
Elect this common sense judge to the Supreme Court!
And how long before we hear the leftists crying "My mask only works if you wear your mask! You're endangering me and inhibiting my ability to travel safely! That's because... Scyence!!"
Oh you know it's gonna happen!!
Friend just was told over the PA they could remove their masks as he was landing. So it's trickling out.

Open-minded skepticism FTW

Fly the breathable skies and never comply with the bullies ever again!
Would Brandon now have to appeal to the 11th Circuit?
So is this effective immediately?
And the lefties are running around panicking because they apparently think they won't be allowed to wear their masks.
I guess this means that as soon as plane leaves Florida, that one must wear a mask.
No, this applies to the entire country not just Florida.
