It is almost incredible once you start thinking about it. You do know that without oil a tank is just a piece of artillery sitting duck. The oil production, even after losing the oilfield-resources of the east, so, we are talking domestic production, skyrocketed, but was insufficient to keep both the economy and the tanks going.
