All I saw was that a mod posted a notice that Catturd posts were being banned, for some reason, ostensibly because "Catturd posts are not Q-related".
Don't know how effective that Ban is or was. Seems like a pretty strange and arbitrary move, but from a curative viewpoint, it's understandable that mods might want to tighten up the posting range a bit.
I don't believe that Catturd himself was booted from GAW, or if indeed if he was ever here. It's the posts that were 'banned' (or being discouraged).
Multiple People were posting posts of every single post catturd made. It was kind of cluttery for a q research site even if his posts are snappy they arent very Q related. The man himself could post here if he wanted I'm sure.
I dont know as I'm not a moderator just a lurker and occasional commenter but it was starting to feel like spam.
I live on the other side of the planet, so generally, the times I am active on GAW are opposite or very dissimilar to most users.
So, possibly I did not see all the catturd spam... If things were indeed as you describe, the mods would have been wise to act as they did.
It felt like I was clicking into one every 5 posts. I.likr catturd but it felt like alot
