We don't have absolute right to our own property even in America. If government wants a piece of the land you own, it can seize that piece of land for a number of reasons and there is nothing to be done about it. Keeping that private property already comes at the cost of property taxes on land you own forever.
The only thing we own that might be safe from government would be our underwear since nobody would want someone else's crusty ass underwear.
This guy's obviously an asshole communist, but I repeat myself.
Look, nobody has an "absolute right" to own anything. Unless you find it in the street or receive it as a gift, you have to PAY for stuff in order to earn the right to own it.
People on "welfare", i.e., living off the fruits of the labor of others, don't have an absolute right to any of it, either. They're getting away with it.
No person is born with any obligation to give anything to anyone else.
If you are incapable of protecting your property then of course it is going to be taken. This is just the way of the world, sheets of paper are meaningless in the face of the actual reality of having a gun pointed and shot at you. Even the most goody goody person behaves that way because they believe it will benefit them somehow, ultimately we are going to care about ourselves first. For some reason a large amount of people have been bamboozled into thinking that those in government are looking out for others rather than themselves like everybody else does.
It is impossible for humans to act in any way other than in their own self interest. Even when they act in ways that seem counter to their self interest, when you dig into it, you find a compelling self-interest reason behind the behavior.
Even when we give to charity, for example, it is in our own self interest; we get a great feeling from doing it and knowing we're doing good and helping someone.
Yeah but you're feeling good because you helped. It's a moral reward for a kind act. Some people give because they themselves had nothing at one point, so they're giving because they empathize with an individual.
Yup, and for so many people this leaves a bad taste in their mouth so they go on being fake and pretending like they are just selflessly doing good for others. Being honest with ourselves and others seems to be a major hang up in our society, we just can't seem to do it.
The context around this seems to be in relation to asset seizures under the 'seize anything owned by russians' rubric. Which isnt to say that these wannabe thieves wouldnt want to steal everything else also, they sure were not in a hurry to face the music for the bank freezes of accounts belonging to the truckers.
I've been learning about becoming a State National, what I'm understanding is that's the only true way to own your land or your cars and to not be a citizen of the corporation
This has always been a thing here. I worked as a real estate appraiser for many years and handled several expropriation. One in particular involved highway expansion, 2 lanes to 4, requiring land on both sides of existing road. Farms along the road lost a narrow bit of their land and people who had houses right next to the road had to leave their homes. They were compensated very well. Above market value plus allowances for relocating. Not sure of the context in this clip but expropriation is not unusual here. What happens in the US if the state needs to build a road over your property or some similar situation?
Anyone know why he said that? As outrageous as the comment is in and of itself, I would very much like to know the context here. Qhat lead this guy to speak out of his ass? Even if it is the truth in Canada... anyone know?
There is a clip last year of a parent confronting an MP who said (paraphrasing) "your children belong to the state, not the parents". These bastards think they own everything, and we are all endebted and slaves of theirs.

You paying for something doesn't mean you don't own it.
You had to exchange something for the ownership of it. You still own it.
Now if you want to talk about government being able to "legally" confiscate something as "evidence" or whatever, that's a different story.
Agreed. It means you DO own it.
Right again. As I said, you have to pay for stuff in order to have a "right" to own it.
You pay for property though. And continue to pay through thievery
Ah totally misread your comment.
Pedotus teaches us that our rights are not absolute.
You get paid fair market value when government exercises imminent domain.
Doesn't matter if you get paid 1000x the value, if they can seize it without your permission, you DO NOT own it.
God owns this place anyways
And don't forget about "freezing" bank accounts
In soviet Canada, the government siezes you In soviet Canada you are the private property they sieze 🤣
...in all seriousness... fuck this guy
Comrades of all WEF countries unite!
Only if we grow a pair and DO. NOT. COMPLY. To any of it.
So people (commie socialists) need to be re-educated with the term private property and a demonstration on what that exactly means.

You own what you can keep. Period.
Mad Max style

Fuck Canada everyone I’ve ever met from Canada has been a commie cunt
Fuck them!
Further proof Team Honk totally broke the Canadian shadow government.
This is the true goal.
I am not worried about this.
I think it’s the white hats forcing their hand.
Communism cannot be implemented in the open!!!
The people have to be poor for an extended period of time. Then the empty promises to a better life will come.
No way they admit this shit without the white hats forcing them to.
Trump wants to destroy their shit for centuries!!!
Interesting finger to have a brace on . . .
To be fair it has always been the agenda.
Maybe one of the truckers might accidentally run over him.
I feel like I have to chant this every day on every platform but "You wont get our guns."
You cant and you wont and you lost so game over.

Soon they may become the proud owner of perpetual real estate,
a burial plot and tombstone.
