I have a similar train of thought.
I'm annoyed that I'm not smarter, but if I were smarter I would hate my fellow man even more. It must be a real struggle for people that are recognized as being geniuses.
You're smart enough to be here, and we all have our strengths.
I've always been considered smart but I work in a gas station. I like the fast pace of a busy day and the multi tasking, and dealing with people. I guess I'm smart enough to know i don't like working behind a desk lol. I love my job.
I use my gifts to make other people happy and that in turn makes me happy.
I guess that is true, me being here and all. I have never been a "conspiracy theorist" until Q. At this point though, you'd have to have your head firmly up your ass (like my wife) to be this oblivious to what is going on.
I have a desk job, work remote, and am paid well. It would be nice to be around more people, I guess, but at the same time they'd probably just have their heads up their asses.
Well I'm pleasantly surprised at the amount of people that see the truth.
Most of the people iny flyover state.are based until you get into the cities of course.
I know a lot of people that work with their hands and make good money without the college debt.
EVERYONE has some gift/area of genius. School only assesses and values a few areas, so many people get discouraged because they don't/didn't do well in school when the fact of the matter is that school doesn't measure or value their gifts. There are a number of perspectives, with the number of areas ranging from 7-11, but his one isn't too bad:

It’s pretty eye-opening the number of people I meet who think I (landscaper) should be working behind a desk at this point in my career like that is the ultimate goal. As if sitting on your ass in the a/c in front of a computer screen is the end all of professional advancement.
This has been plaguing me too.
I know I am smarter than the average bear but come on. Interactions with general public are just mystifying.
I will be talking to someone about a situation, the conclusion is obvious, but yet they are dumbfounded when I tell them. I often get "I never thought of it that way or how did you know that" for just simple obvious stuff.
I know I am no genius but damn. It is getting to the point that I avoid having conversation with people because it is so disappointing and unsatisfying.
People are about the most annoying things there are.
Just remember, half the population is below average intelligence, and average seems pretty stupid :)
I think social media has degraded peoples brains to the point they don't remember how to think on their own. They can't relate to someone sitting down and thinking up new ideas all on their own.
I have taken great mirth in watching people in the elevator or just anywhere.
Most people are head down with their phone in their face.
It is like they are afraid to be alone with their own thoughts or that they don't really have thoughts anymore. Complete zombies.
Hilarious and add on the fact that some of these supposedly "Highly educated " people will be the last ones to admit that Xiden is a disaster.
I appreciate the comments on here so much. I feel more included and real understanding here from my Frens than I do from talking to most general normies that I know.
I believe this is where what I have always called common sense has gone away for most people.
Leave it to memes...
Sums up my sentiment way better than I could ever articulate.
God gives wisdom liberally. Nobody has to be a dumb ass. Just ask.
Half the folks out there are stupider than average…
Yup. Everyone is gifted in some area, but, other than their gifted area, most people function in the "average" range. The past two years have shown where the "average" is, and it is truly disturbing how dumbed-down "average" has become.
What haunts me is that people convince themselves that they are not smart. IT IS A LIE. I don't care what your IQ is. I don't care how long it takes you. Don't you DARE lie to me saying you're not smart.
There are people who seek truth and there are people who do not (i.e. liars). It's that simple.
The modern world has shifted a lot in terms of what is desirable in a person and in society. In the book, "Quiet: The Power of Introverts", it mentions that extroversion and personality are very recent traits to be desired by society. Essentially, before Hollywood dictated for us what should be desired, humans used to value deep thought, intellect, and honor.
Society has evolved over thousands of years to desire these things and movies and the media were able to shift it in just a few generations. Human psychology and sociology are strange things and have been easily hacked. And now perceived charisma and social status are more valued to people than intellect and morality.
😆
Oh my goodness I needed that!

Her comment can work both ways. In their minds towards us, and vice versa in our minds.
But, alas, they keep proving you are smarter than you think!!😎
Hahaha This! 👆🏻👆🏻
Education is the key to prosperity. It is being destroyed at an early age. Education is power. Education is reasoning. Education is quality of life.
I always knew I had a high IQ, for whatever that's worth, but this whole thing has taught me that wisdom/understanding is really more about a) having discernment b) being capable of not following the herd c) not being easily hypnotized.
Most of what we see is a function of zero discernment, going along with artificially boosted beliefs or having been put into a hypnotic-like, non-thinking state by media.
Intelligence has some to do with it, but it definitely isn't everything.
Very, very insightful. Perfectly aligns with my thoughts, but you said it better than I could.
My eyes really weren’t open to how the world really works until I started fighting gun control legislation in my mid 20’s. It snowballed from there. I wasn’t into politics at all until I started to see how my gun rights were being infringed. I guess my personality lended itself for me to be an independent thinker though as I never followed any clicks in school and I followed my own path not giving a crap what others thought of me. Visualize a hardcore punk rocker in a redneck school….Yeah, I had my share of confrontations.
The word you were looking for was cliques. Not posting this to bash anything you said, fren.
Yeah, was lazy and didn’t feel like looking it up. Knew it wasn’t right.
I would add:
d) having a bit of courage to face the ugly truth
True based on my observation. I believe being susceptible to suggestion is a biological or chemical predisposition, much like being predisposed to addiction. There are far too many really smart people who will believe and say really dumb things.
I once read a theory that there are three types of highly gifted people: Superstars, Strivers and Independents. The first two are more likely to conform even though they are equally smart and go on to achieve highly in their chosen fields.
Yup.
The world really doesn't seem to like independent thinkers UNLESS they provide/invent/develop something novel that will benefit them. Even then, they ask, "What have you done for me lately?", and throw the independent thinker to the curb if he doesn't keep delivering things that benefit them.
Thats because they dont value intellect. They value social status and social acceptance. They dont care about facts being used to come to a logical conclusion. They use feelings to help them decide what feels like it should be the conclusion.
ya, that "logic" thing trips 'em up every time!! lol

There are different kinds of intelligence, social, intellectual, emotional, among others. Its how you are able to use just pieces of information and get a clear picture, of what might be the solution. Its when your able to see the picture with minimal input that your intellect shines. every one of us has different levels of each, kind of like that really smart person who lacks common sense, or has lots of common sense but takes a while to figure out hard problems. The show Eureka! has lots of good examples of the different types.
