I often feel so disembodied from all that is around me. What happened to the country I grew up in? I have to remind myself that where I grew up in my mind (mentally speaking) wasn't necessarily reality. We are living in a captured country and we are essentially prisoners of war with Hanoi Janes in our Federal Government to torment us.
But what would be the protocol for this? Who makes that kind of call? How in the military says "okay that's it, I am now in charge." As far as I know there is no mechanism for how this occurs. We've seen military takeovers throughout history, even recently in Myanmar. But in the USA I don't know how that would play out.
The answer is Devolution. President Trump devolved his executive authority to the military, and has left classified PEADs and EOs that document this transfer of authority and the wartime conditions that make it legal (as any foreign entity interfering with our elections constitutes an act of war, Trump himself made this a thing after taking office).

Excellent post. I concur that a select group in the Military are playing a huge roll in this mission (the military is the only way) but with President Trump as commander along with Military Intelligence and some civilian personnel. Otherwise it doesn't work.
