I think God is reminding us that Hope is being restored and that there's Good Days ahead.
It’s proof that he’s delivering us from this evil.

No one can know God’s mind.
Every soul born starts as innocent and pure. I'd imagine the endless love God has for us means an unimaginably heavy sadness when a soul is tarnished and blackened by evil acts.
Then you don’t believe in forgiveness?
I do believe forgiveness is possible after death, but in life some acts are just too heinous to forgive.
That’s not what was promised by God. The only one who matters.

It's exactly how I interpret it, personally anyway. God reminding us of his promise. I take it as a message to hang in there. He showed me a double rainbow identical to this on July 16th this year (7/16 = two 7's, (7) being the biblical number of completion. I'm hanging in there, faithful that his completion is in route.
It most certainly is in route, brother. "No man knows the day or the hour" but boy do I hope it's soon!

You see how, starting at the bottom of the first rainbow, it goes purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and how the upper rainbow is more faded? The top rainbow maybe is a reflection of the bottom one, on the dome.

A bow is a weapon.
When God brandishes His weapon He is not happy - He is considering wiping us out again and is reminding us of His promise not to do so with water.
He will be bringing judgment, allowing persecution and eventual pouring out His wrath.
Him showing you His bow is a call to repent.
Any sign from God gives me warm fuzzies.
Remember that when you are in the middle of His discipline. After all He disciplines all His children that He loves.
Not that it really matters, but when I was training on nuclear reactors in Idaho for the Navy in 1984, I saw a stunning triple rainbow after a thunderstorm. We didn't have cell phones back then and my camera was in storage, but the one in the picture above pales in comparison. Triples are quite rare. We get doubles quite a bit here in east Tennessee.
