Under the current national health emergency for Covid, which Biden has extended until February 28,2023, can the elections next week be suspended or canceled?
From Australia so missed this news. On what grounds was Biden able to extend National Health emergency powers for Covid when he has claimed that Covid is over? What was the excuse used?

I live in a remote area of MN. Saturday night I got an alert on my phone that was for an incident that does not affect my area. Was very excited because I get an alert maybe 2 times a year. I am hoping this constitutes a test of Emergency Broadcast System right before something very important.

Morning frens, I have a general question, my great aunt cancelled her pay-pal account and is asking me what to use instead, she doesn't want to use her card online, she's 80, does anyone have a recommendation? I looked up venmo and it's saying it's a subsidary of PayPal, and the lists on line are more centered on small business transactions, she wants one that's not " woke". TIA.
I believe she should have a credit card strictly for online, travel etc (things seldom purchased) because using a debit card comes directly out of your account immediately and a credit card is easier to get a credit and doesn't jeopardize your cash. Always use a credit union and never a bank.
I've heard of services that offer "virtual credit cards" - basically prepaid burners. I think some banks offer this as a service too.
Unfortunately I don't know anything more about it, but perhaps it's a "search term" you could use.

I won hundred percent believe that they can control the weather. It happens all over the world. They’ve been very open about it in the Middle East, Dubai, something like that. Question for my non American frens.
There are a lot of you here that know more about the American government and it's functions (or lack thereof) than I do in certain aspects. I admittedly know just enough to get by about other countries and their governments.
So, the ones that are astute with American civics, have you always had an interest, is it taught in the schools, did you learn it because of the Q movement, am I just and idiot, or am I just underestimating the influence of the American gov on the entire world? (I suspect it's the 2 latter)
I don't understand the system fully, but have gained some insights from the posts on here.

I would venture a guess that non American frens know more about America than Americans these days if speaking from a formal education point of view.
Fun story on the subject. My first stint in a college, US gov was a required course. I hated it. It was absolute left wing indoctrination garbage. I am grateful I was able to recognize that and ignored it. The final exam for the course was an essay question basically asking us to summarize the entire course and what we learned. I was teetering on the edge of failing the class and I didn't care. My essay answer was pretty short. I summarized the concepts and ideals of the constitution as intended by the founding fathers and ended with calling the professor a fukn communist. No joke. I passed with one point above failing. Professor didn't want to see me back in that class.

A grilled burger is a testing ground for flavor combinations. IE honey jalapeno cream cheese, bacon, raspberry jam, fried jalapenos. There's a local place that comes up with the most creative things to put on burgers. I draw the line at pickled apples though....
When I moved to America for a few years, almost 2 decades ago, I was just absolutely fascinated by the country, the people and its ideals. I also found the politics refreshing (haha!) compared to my own country's where the corruption was on display every minute, whereas in America it felt like things were much more cleaner. (Little did I know!)
Also I found the American presidential style government much better than Prime Minister style government I was used to. So I ended up spending a lot of time listening to political stuff. This was also 9/11 time, so politics became crucial.
When I then moved to Australia, somehow I just couldn't care for the local politics here. Everyone is half braindead. So I continued keeping up with American politics. I wouldn't claim I know too much, but I know enough to at least follow along with everything thats happening.
You probably are. The entire world is hinged on American gov / economy / culture and its by design. Those of us who ignore American politics do it at our own peril.

That’s a big concern for many Americans. If we fall the rest of the world is going is fall as well. I don’t think as an American I’m better than citizens of other countries. I love learning about other cultures and would jump at the opportunity to visit many countries. There’s a reason so many people have come to America to live for many years. I don’t know the history of how the American dollar became the world standard. I’ve never understood it. I’ve always heard God (Christian god) has protected America and that’s why things are the way they have been for centuries. This is only hear say and I don’t know if it’s in the Bible. I’m not trying to step on other countries toes. The prophet or psychic Nostradamus talks about a great powerful country and many believe it’s about America. I think all his predictions have come true.
It should be as well as for others country citizens as well. This is why we are headed to a true multi-polar world. We don't need a reserve currency. Thats gold and silver and has always been so until before the last century. Even the Pound Sterling was tied to silver.

Question for Halloween.
We know the deep state are Satanists and most find that abhorrent. Why then with 63% of America being Christian do you celebrate Halloween? Asking for a friend.
We didn't celebrate Halloween this year.
Took our child to a local playground where a lot of other people were also not celebrating Halloween with their children. It was a nice surprise.
I will say it was the most difficult thing to do since our Mega Maga Awakening a couple years ago. Even getting kicked out of stores for refusing to wear masks was easier. At least then I knew I had an airtight scientific argument and could rationally explain it in the face of oppression.
Explaining the Halloween thing relied on Faith. And it was a lot weirder, and I did a worse job. I definitely, quantifiably weirded out at least a couple of people. But oh well.
I have decades under my belt using critical thinking and academics, and only a couple years as a Christian. Still have a ways to go learning about my Faith.
I thank the Lord for the opportunity. Still have lots of growth on that front. 🙂

I lived to many years before I knew the truth about satanic rituals and their important days. I’ve never been interested in horror movies or that side of Halloween. I grew up in a small rural community. I live a mile from a crossroads with a church and houses, it’s too small to call a town. Every Halloween we went to the local church to eat on Halloween. Then we went trick or treating to about six local houses. We went in each house for snacks, games or stories. I attended another church but always went to Bible school & other activities for kids at the local church. By the time my child was born we took went to family and friends & the local mall. In later years churches started trunk or treat & we did that. I don’t know how I’d handle things today if I had a small child. Kids don’t understand why they can’t participate and their family has different beliefs. I see small kids with costumes on know more than playing dress up. My child had dress up clothes and was always pretending in her costumes. It was part of daily playing. I think adults celebrating Halloween are the worst. Food made to look like body parts is disgusting & I felt that way before I knew about the real eating of people and sacrifice. I saw someone post a skeleton head made out of ham. All I could think of was Gaga and her meat dress. I always knew our modern holiday traditions were based on pagan holidays. Honestly I thought nothing of it. Now, I think differently! Actually, Halloween may be a big day for satanic rituals and child sacrifice but the solstice holidays and Easter are more important to them.
