He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people. FBI is called out to suppress School Board Meetings and the Rights of Parents as their Children's Guardians
He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within. Appointed AG's not prosecuting criminals comes to mind. Rigged elections subverting the Will of The People.
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands. It's been decades since I read the entire declaration. You have reminded all of us how the first revolution began and how similar our challenges are to our ancestors who also yearned for freedom and dignity. Great post. Thank you.
Revolution begins in the heart of a man. That man does something, and others see his strength and follow. That is not to say revolution resides in the heart of one solitary man; on the contrary, when the first man's revolutionary spirit must take a moment to rest, another man who has freedom and patriotism in his heart does something further, and other men (and the first man) see the second man's strength, and follow.
Thus, successful revolution is rarely based upon one man, for man will inevitably grow weary and tired in his revolutionary toils and require respite in some form, whether of mind, body, or spirit. Instead, it is built upon the growing spirit of the group, the fire of freedom staying sought and constantly reinvigorated by the actions and drive of those who, in their moment of greatness, step forward for a time (however long or brief it may be) to push on toward the goal of self determination and freedom.
It is kind of like having a car and never driving it. Sitting in the drivers seat, rolling the windows down, put the keys in the ignition.
Then only imagine driving around and swing what this car can do. Never turning the ignition on.
