Only people who pay federal tax for US elections. Same for state and local.
The only tax in the early days of the country was property tax. Only landowners could vote because they were the only ones funding the government. The founding fathers knew if non-taxpayers could vote (non property owners in the early days of the republic) that politicians would buy votes by saying they would give money to the people, basically taking from the rich and giving to the rest of the population.
Issues regarding property tax, obviously only property owners should get to vote. Otherwise ppl benefiting from the taxes can compel the rest of us to indentured servitude.
People that get no handouts from the government. If you can’t support yourself and pay taxes the ones that are paying all the taxes and supporting others should have the ultimate say.
If you're getting handouts from the government, it should be considered a conflict of interest to be allowed to vote, as you'd basically be voting to give yourself more benefits.
Nobody without income tax or property tax liability. Sales tax doesnt count. If you dont pay income tax and always get back more than you paid in then you shouldnt have a voice in how that money is spent.
Just make the same standard as buying alcohol. I don't get what is so damn hard about it. REAL ID is already a thing that many states have implemented. Just do the same system as buying alcohol or tobacco and make REAL ID compliant. It's already going to be required to get on a domestic flight march 2023 unless they kick the can down the road again.
All citizens who pay taxes on federal level should have a vote as long as not mental deficient. If you are not currently paying federal taxes then no vote. Including myself I collect retirement SS, but am working and paying tax too, but if I quit working and rely on only My SS...
Note: I'm pretty sure that people in many cases owned a house, but paid no taxes, and no one paid 30 year loans.
Legal citizens should get one vote
Addition votes for taxes paid kinda like a corporation and owning shares so those who pay for stuff get more say.
If you are dependent on government maybe have vote suspended?
To the seniors they are made somewhat dependent but if the system is fair and they save the can look after themselves. Depending on the government is how we get into this predicament.
Straight up stupid. Property owners? Wtf, literally the last thing that has to do with anything..
My proposed law/rule would be no one that has a net worth over 5 million can be in any direct position/office in government. All state and federal employees are required to take a live stream yearly lie detector test, this includes all election officials, etc and includes any presidential candidates.
Foreign aid is illegal, and any money laundering or extracting money from us citizens is considered as treason.
Treason to the American people or country results in live execution.
Sorry, Fren, I downdoot you because I would never deny my dearest LQdies Frens u/Mary911, u/Callmejuls, u/ArmyLady, u/Undine53 or u/BQnita the right to vote.
PS: please, forgotten LQdies Frens: forgive me. You cannot be lesser LQdies Frens.

You would omit retirees seniors who built the country and diapered your poopy ass.

IOW a voter needs to have a stake in the outcome.
Federal tax payers that are citizens.

Everyone. Otherwise, some knuckle-head will pass a bill disallowing peons from owning property, and we will be forever serfs.
Done.
Given how few people can afford a house without a mortgage they could already claim that many of us are not really property owners based on that.
Property owners.
Any AMERICAN Citizens Over 18.
It used to be ONLY PROPERTY OWNERS COULD VOTE.
Democracy is fuct. Nobody should get to vote. This guy had it right:

3 questions at the beginning of every ballot and they change for every ballot:
1st US President? How many original states? How many US states? Current US President?
Get any of them wrong and your votes don’t count.

All citizens - but only after they pass a basic civics exam.
That would give China a lot of votes...
Lol I was going to say something similar, or Bill Gates.
A lot of people would not be able to vote.
Only me :)

I don’t own property but ama citizen so….. this is a dumb question. Not to mention the cost of living in some parts of America are outrageous.
Male property owners...
