I would love it if the mom and pop stores still existed. There is almost nothing I can buy local in my town besides meals at local restaurants. I can't even get some things at the big box stores, such as clothes. No store in my town carries tall sizes or large sizes, so I have to order everything I wear online except for my socks. I can't even buy a computer or printer locally. The local office place only keeps display models, so I can't pick out something and take it home right then anymore like I used to.
This is just in Portland proper. There's still about a dozen or so in the metro area. This is a drop in the bucket for Walmart inc. I feel for the hundreds maybe thousands of small businesses that were forced to close down because of government induced crime. Its a disgrace
Lived there for 40 years. This is what happens when Californians flee and go to Oregon and offer buckets of money for rental homes and renters are forced onto the streets. Just that simple. The class resentment runs deep!
Vacant WalMarts, windowless. Connecting underground tunnels must be complete. Walmart retasked as secret troop formation depots. Say goodbye to the West Coast, it has been ceded to China. Depopulating the West Coast with weather weapons to burn out the population and drying up the water resources to harm the food supply has been an arduous task.
The Walmart in Pico Rivera, CA is located where Northrop was building the B-2 bomber and the Space Shuttle in the 1980s and 90s. The plant had a gigantic structure that was ten stories underground - imagine a ten story office building but literally just underground. The deeper you would travel underground the higher the security clearance needed.
Northrop would transport large sections of the B-2 out of the facility at night by train. When they did this they would have the power to the city completely shut off (fake power outages) so spy satellites couldn’t capture images of the plane being moved out to Palmdale.
When Northrop shut the Pico facility down the top-side structures stayed for years until they were torn down to make way for a new shopping center. The underground facilities were “supposed” to have been destroyed and filled in with cement and dirt. But it’s long been known that entire sections still exist untouched.
Anyway, a few years ago that Walmart in Pico was shut down for over a year, they claimed it was do to “sewer issues.” When that construction was finished the Walmart reopened... and then Covid hit and trains carrying massive amounts of military vehicles were seen in the area of the old Northrop grounds. There is a spiderweb of train lines that feed to warehouses all over that area, some of which used to go inside of Northrop and are still there. You can drive by and see where some of the train lines go inside of buildings - all still visible from Google Earth too.
You go woke, you go broke. Expect nothing but bad to happen when you live in an ultra-liberal city, which believes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th chances. If there is no punishment for crimes, it will occur over and over.
I haven't spent a dime with Walmart in probably over a decade. Anyone who shops there has betrayed their own community, to save money.
But I'm glad Portland is taking the hit, those people are literal commies, who think they're going to prosper if SHTF, when in reality, their little shops and dreams are going to get pillaged and robbed by the very people "they stand with".. fuck Portland.
Last time I drove through Portland “trucker”, I was astonished at all the 5g towers. They were short, many eye level with third floor apartments and many just 50 or so feet away. They were everywhere, I was happy to leave and hopefully never to return.
I'm from WA but was in Portland 2 yrs ago. I don't know which Walmart I was in but a lot of merchandise was behind locked plexiglass doors. (There was a large homeless camp just outside Walmart's parking lot.) I was trying to buy a small bike part, $3. I did the page thing to get an employee to unlock the door. After he got it out, he wouldn't give it to me. He said he'd walk it to a register and then I could claim it and pay for it. I put up a stink, just felt so disrespected for a $3 item. He said the books showed that bike parts are one of the most stolen items at that particular location. Ah, it made sense to me then--homeless camp just outside the doors.
Theft is definitely a problem but hits the bottom line when they lock merchandise up. Who's going to sit and wait for an employee every time they need something then have to choose a register # to go claim it later. That's madness. I left the Portland store without buying the part (and probably $100 of stuff I was also planning on buying). And now avoid Walmart where I live in WA because they are doing the same thing, as more and more merchandise is behind locked doors.
One wonders just how long people are going to be forced to allow themselves to be robbed before they do the obvious thing...........leave. Perhaps this will be a little bit of a wake-up call for these brain-dead zombies.
You know you are completely FUCKED when Wal-Mart closes shop! Haha ha. Ever watch the people of WalMart videos? Where will the freaks of Portland go now?
when the smart ones leave the area, the druggies & commies will simply leave the wasteland they've created behind & follow to the next place to corrupt & destroy.
it's literally just like the Walking Dead tv show. these people are HERDS of zombies (communists)
I didn't know that about airliners. I've never set foot on one. If there is a road somewhere, I'll drive it. I've been all over the eastern 2/3 of the US from NY to FL and ND to TX. I haven't been to New England yet, but I have been in Canada back in the 60s when passports weren't necessary.
Communism is not an economic philosophy, it's a blueprint for destroying civilization and the people who inhabit it.
Yes...it's a satanic, globalist, American taxpayer funded construct direct from the pitt of hell!
AND what Liberals leave behind: Cities without much else to put their lives back together...the MAGA stores need to go...
I like the Mom & Pop shops that have a good selection and if they don't have then I get somewhere else.
Shop locally, look nationally@@@

Yup. The stores are just cover for their trafficking business.

...u want spooky ? Palmdale CA
This exactly.
How many times have you heard of a Wal-Mart closing? They're always adding more, not closing.
“Leaving them unsure where to go next”…
If you’re that dense there’s nothing we can do for you.
You go woke, you go broke. Expect nothing but bad to happen when you live in an ultra-liberal city, which believes in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th chances. If there is no punishment for crimes, it will occur over and over.

I would love nothing more then Portland and Seattle to burn and be rebuilt.
100's if people left to find a new place to shop..... you mean loot
They should keep surveillance on the stores tho.... Walmart is big traffickers.... no?
They will use then to house the homeless drug addicts
Last time I drove through Portland “trucker”, I was astonished at all the 5g towers. They were short, many eye level with third floor apartments and many just 50 or so feet away. They were everywhere, I was happy to leave and hopefully never to return.
Defund police.
Raise shoplifting monetary limits to decrease legal consequences.
Institute a revolving door policy of arrests > no charges or bail > release.
Show outrage when businesses flee the area.
Step 5. Devalue the property.
Step 6. Banks and Blackrock buy it back on the cheap and rebuild it for their 15 minute cities.
Yes! Excellent additions to the list.

Very good. All Bidens illegal aliens can be housed there or send them to fight in Ukraine. I’m just saying
It's depressing to think this is just a list of closed restaurants in Portland, and just popular ones.
Probably represents a small fraction of the actual closures throughout the city --->

That on scene reporter is a huge flammer

I know one family that's moving to NC soon.
Eventually there will be no place to flee to.
I was actually thinking of the businesses that leave but you're right.
Someone said White Hats have taken control of Walmart. Can't verify that though.
This news will be dismissed by the left as "Racism."
& it's surely Orange Man's fault somehow🐸
maybe china will buy the entire town.
Maybe it will be the first active FEMA camp
You know you are completely FUCKED when Wal-Mart closes shop! Haha ha. Ever watch the people of WalMart videos? Where will the freaks of Portland go now?
In Brazil wealthy white people commute to work by helicopter to avoid the vibrant multicultural neighborhoods.
Go. Woke. Go. Broke

Airliners should dump their waste tanks when they fly over.
