I’m pushing back on everything, don’t email me shit and I have to print it out, mail me a printed copy, when I call your “customer service “ line, don’t tell me to go to your website and hang up, when I go to the bank, don’t tell me to use the friggin online app, and don’t reduce your tellers to one teller, some people still want to bank in person, when I withdraw money from one acct and want to move to another, send me a check, I don’t do wire transfers, and finally, if You’re asking me to do all of your work, pay me! I’m so sick of this shit. Let me talk to an actual person. And then it crosses my mind, are they training everyone to do everything themselves for control, or because there are not enough workers, or both? And if there are not enough workers, where did they go? I do think we need to go back to cash only as much as possible, even though the cash is looking very raggedy and old these days, which raises more questions.
Was in a self check out. It called over a live worker. The check records you and it was claiming I did something that was like stealing potentially. The live worker took the side of the AI and was starting to go thru everything I was getting.
I walked out.
I was calm and told the store person if you are claiming I am stealing I will just walk out and you will have to out back everything or let it go bad.
Wait for them to want to claim that too is criminal.
The place where I work installed two self checks during a remodel. They've cut human labor hours. A few of us humans are feeling overwhelmed on the cash end. I'm happy to watch the whole idea implode.
I never got how restaurants expected customers to eat while wearing masks. Clown world.

Only go on 1/2 price bagel pack on Tuesday’s. You get a bakers dozen (13) for $7.49. A 6 pack of Thomas’ Bagels in grocery store cost $3.99. Simple math, Panera is cheaper on Tuesday mornings.

I went there last weekend because was out of town (normally cook all my food never eat out) and the food was terrible, might have just been the location.
One lady in there was really nice and told us they had new hires and had the manager personally make us all a new sandwich. She also went and grabbed 3 cookies for us and said feel free to get soda as well.
Customer service goes a long way.

I was in DC last month and several places looked at me like I had 2 heads when I tried to pay cash. They tried to deter me by telling me they couldn't give me change. I said, "That's ok, I have perfect change." So glad I hit the coin jar before leaving town. Also, you just screwed yourself out of a tip barista bimbo.
Places don't like cash because it's easier to pick your pocket for a "tip" when you pay by card. Cash, you feel the buck or two you hand over to them. Card? Most people will go "whatever. Just another dollar or two" and hit the "tip" button.
That's a whole 'nother thing, too! I'm so sick and tired of people setting tip jars up to guilt people into tipping.Bitch, you took my money and handed me my dry cleaning and you make a full paycheck, you don't need a damn tip.
