Have you looked into recording books for the Audible platform? I'm not sure how their program works, but that might be something you could do from home.
Dear Lord, lead BNU on the path you have for them. Let your promise of knowing the plans you have for them, plans of a hope and a future be a comfort to them. Lord, you are a waymaker. Please make a way for BNU. I ask this in Jesus' Holy name, Amen.
I feel ya, hun. Late 40s here. Once upon a time I was going to college for screen writing. USC film school. Couldn't afford the tuition and had to drop out. But imagine ...it's been over 30 years and I still sometimes think...what if I had become a film writer? Where would I be now? In the middle of all that evil shit. That's where. So the Lord had other plans for me. And sometime soon you'll figure out what his plans are for you. Whether it's with your voice, or with some other thing you're maybe not concentrating on yet. My daughter has aspergers. Her 'one autistic thing', as many call it, is her photographic memory. We used to worry where she would end up. But now she has a great paying job as a machinist, doing something she loves.
It will come to you. Patience.
What about getting a name for yourself and a body of work by doing podcasts or reading out other people's work or re-dubbing some anime characters? Then you can show people your work and in the meantime you are doing what you love and gaining sound engineering experience? You will have self-started and that shows real gumption to an employer.
Are there any amateur anime creators out there you could contact and work with.
I am reminded of the two person band "The Postal Service" who made electronica music whilst living far apart. Listen to them they are great.
The greatest heroes come from the most unlikely situations. The examples are countless, but since you're into anime, consider Asta from Black Clover. (Check it out if you haven't already)
In Asta's world, everyone has magic except for him. And he, being an orphan with no magic, had the audacity to believe that he would one day be the wizard king. Needless to say, he was the laughing stock of his nation. Until he wasn't. (I don't want to spoil it for you if you're unfamiliar with it)
You are a child of the most high God and He made you for a time such as this. The challenges that you have faced have made you much stronger than you know. Remember, it is the Father's great pleasure to grant you the desires of your heart. You just have to believe. Lift your tired eyes to Him and smile knowing that He is smiling back at you. You're gonna win. You're gonna accomplish your dreams. Stay strong.
Reach out when you need encouragement. You have a friend in Texas.
And for what it's worth, Sentai Filmworks, though not without their own faults, seems significantly better than Crunchyroll--the actors for Crunchyroll are actually rebelling against the company due to some union thing. Granted, that could be a scenario where there are NO good guys.
I had no idea the anime world even knew that Houston existed. I'm an old guy, so the only reason that I know about any of this is because my kids turned me on to it when they were teens. I grew up on speed racer and didn't even know it was originally created in Japan and purchased and modified for us American kids.
I'm amazed they didn't scoop you up fren. I do get really tired of hearing the same voices over and over. It seems like there's only a handful of people doing the English dubs and subtitles are exhausting. I think your success is inevitable if you keep believing and moving forward. Faith is an action word.
If you do have a good voice, then there's nothing stopping you from using it. Take Dave of X22Report, for example. He doesn't work for a company. I suggest that you make recordings of any subject that interests you and upload them to your platform of choice. Since you don't really need money, start off doing something that will NOT earn you money. You never know what it might lead to.
Your writing is good so that's another skill, which you could use. I've self-published books and you could do likewise.
God has a plan for you and your life...you just haven't discovered it yet...a song to encourage you to be available to be used by God...don't forget when we view our life we see the back of the tapestry of life...God sees the front...
You could start offering your voice as the narrator for audiobooks. A lot is now published as audiobooks, and they are popular. As far as I know when it comes to indie books - books published either by the author, or by a small independent publisher sometimes - the author can choose the narrator, and with indies often pays them herself too, and today there is a LOT of those published. Including a lot by conservative authors. As there is also a big demand for traditional adventure and such, and cozies, and all kinds of stories the trad publishers no longer are willing to buy.
Audible, and its mother company Amazon, are undoubtedly evil to some rather big extent, but right now they are the sites most customers know to go looking, and they mostly allow all kinds of authors to publish on their platform so with most indie authors they are still the primary seller for their books.
Maybe get on Facebook, and its better alternative MeWe, and what other similar places there are, find author groups that would not reject you based on your political opinions. Not easy, as most are probably more or less hiding, at least on facebook, but you could try to find authors who look promising and ask in their fan groups.
You could try looking for authors who might want a narrator for their books directly, by searching for indies published on the Kindle Direct program by authors who sound like something you might like to read yourself, and send them a sample. You would have to start small, presumably, by narrating books for authors who are not any kind of names yet, and who probably can't pay you much, but on Audible at least people also search for audiobooks based on narrators they like, and if you started to get visibility that way you might be able to get possibly even a pretty well-paying career that way.
You should also get yourself a net site where you offer your services directly, and where it is possible to hear samples. Find older books, ones that no longer are copyrighted, to read, so that you will not risk problems due to copyright infringement.
One alternative might also be to search for books you like, but which are by new authors, and then try to find a way to get their authors a sample of you reading something of theirs. Most authors today do have blogs where it is possible to leave comments, so look for those, and for their facebook and other social media sites, most have those no matter what their opinion is of the platform or its owners, as it is kind of necessary if one wants to sell.
You should narrate Soft War by Jason Lowry and/or The Bitcoin Standard by Saifedean Ammous. This will help you research bitcoin if you haven't already and if you then decide that it is what many of us think it is, you should ask your mom if you can save your rent and buy/save satoshis (the denomination of btc). Put your narrations on your own website and start a library for people waking up (or do audible) - link here so we know. Patrick Gunnels does similar narrations on Badlands Media (Rumble), but if your voice is great, you'll do a better job (voice is very important to me, I aways check samples on audible b4 buying) and I think there is a gap in the market. Ask Jesus for guidance if you haven't already. Many blessings to you.
Children should live with their parents until the time that it is no longer best for the whole of the family. You are 100% correct when you mention that this process has been perverted by those who control us. Why would a kid enter the world and waste good money after bad on housing, and everything that goes along with it, if the situation at home is comfortable and charitable for all involved. My kid has no inhibitors and he is welcome to stay for as long as needed for him to comfortably enter the world away. Family is the single most important gift in this world. Including non-immediate families created of love. There is no timeline. In fact, as time is fleeting, the more time you have to spend with your parents and children, the more opportunity you have to appreciate this gift. Pitch in, help out and never take it for granted, and everyone wins.
Audible, that's a good idea. Also, are you on Truth Social? I see that they have a group for listing one's useful talents or things made and whatever a person has to offer to other patriots. Plus, you can actually advertise on TS. I am giving it serious thought myself. People need to let others of similar mind, know what they have as a skill or gift. You just never know what connection might be made. People do get hired to do the voice over for books they write and want to market, on their own sites, too. Personally I would like to hear your voice. Where can I? Good luck and God bless, fren!
I never signed up for TS because I'd always considered handing over my phone number to be a deal-breaker. I stopped at signing up for Parler for that reason, and when they went under, that meant someone else would have gotten my number, so you can understand my trepidation.
Maybe I should subscribe to one of those burner-number apps. Know any good ones?
Lots of good suggestions. I'll add another: voice acting. Most auditions are not even in-person, just send a sample recording. It takes a lot of knocking, but eventually the doors open. God bless!
Oh yes, I've even recorded over a minute of a demo reel for that purpose. I haven't recorded the rest because I came to the realization that sparked this post.
A shame I can't share it here, as I prize my anonymity on these wins. And I'm sure I'd get blackballed anyway if people found out who I was.
Easy solution. 1. Get on tik tok. 2. Cut your favorite animes down into short tik-toks. 3. Stop waiting to be hired and start dubbing your own voice to your new tik-tok shorts. 4. Stop whining. 5. Gain followers on TikTok. 6. Make money.
Have you considered performing as a v-tuber (or whatever it is they call those online streams that use animated avatars)? Might be a good way to use your voice talent while remaining relatively anonymous.

There are some tips here: https://www.audible.com/blog/article-how-to-become-an-audiobook-narrator

Stay on that narrow path, fren. God loves you and He has wonderful plans for you.

I'm the same way. Search for "temporary phone number" in your favorite search engine. There are a great number of them to choose from. ;)
How about Google Voice?
Buy a few shares of GameStop and read on SuperStonk. You will be able to make your own studio after MOASS.
I think GME is the finical arm of the plan.
Please turn to God and ask Him how you can use the gift He has given to you for His glory.
I will pray for you.
