Philadelphia I-95 overpass collapses after tanker bursts into flames: ‘The roadway’s gone’
The massive smoky blaze broke around 6:30 a.m. on Cottman Avenue right beneath an Interstate 95 northbound overpass, parts of which were reduced to rubble as the stretch of the major highway collap…
continued attacks on our infrastructure.
its an act of war
WHGrampa warned to watch out for 18 wheelers several days ago. States today that there will be more.
I absolutely agree that this was purposeful.
It may not have happened in downtown Philly, but, where it did happen is effective enough, and it happened conveniently under a landbridge, enough to f#@k things up for awhile.
Yea this definitely hit its mark. I95 is a major vein through the east coast and that it happened in Philly is about as bad as it could be considering the alternate routes are horrendous
Not that this is an alternative route but let me take a moment to shit on 76 as being the worst 4 lane highway that’s ever existed
I'm old enough to remember when the Schuylkill was 100x worse back in the day.
Me too bro
They don't call it the Surekill Expressway for nothing.
How does a smoky blaze collapse a bridge? Unless there was an explosion....
Like the fire under the Interstate bridge in Atlanta several years ago. It cooks the aggregate and moisture out of the concrete and down it goes.
This is absurd. A fire like this would cause some spalling and a possible loss of compressive strength, but because of the nature of concrete, a fire like this would never reach the steel reinforcement causing collapse in this fashion and this quickly. As per the pedo death cult playbook, one can only assume there was other factors involved.
Is it? Perhaps, but there are many factors that need to be considered such as the amount of heat, what burned (gas, diesel etc) has various degrees of temperature output. How long did this burn? The winds are a factor. At this time we don’t know the facts, if we are ever told. My question is: why the hell would a tanker stop under the overpass to burn? Common sense would be to pull over as far away from other structures as possible or did the driver just flee at a very bad moment?
I suppose so.
My thoughts exactly. The steel wouldn't weaken as per our education on 9/11 with aircraft fuel.
It had to be a fully loaded fuel tanker of course. In a normal world, it would have been an engine fire at worst. All trucks are required to have fire extinguishers + 911 call in metro area should be a quick extinguish.
That collapse will cripple that area from a traffic perspective for quite some time. I'm thankful the big boom didn't go off as planned!
I agree, thwarted FF.
Is this the crumbling infrastructure ole Sleepy Joe was talking about? kek!
Look at this photo from the article. Looks like 2 separate fires. Smoke rising from 2 different spots.

The responders said the tanker released whatever flammable liquid it was carrying and the fire spread to the sewer system as well. So the fire wasn’t contained to one area. Looks like the fire spread in two directions and the smoke was coming out opposite ends of the overpass.
Indeed it does.
FYI - I asked a friend who lives near Cottman ave - because i couldn't find one pic of this alleged truck...
Yes, there is a truck. It's still buried under the collapsed section of road. The truck flipped over on it's side and went up. The driver didn't make it.
We'll see pics of the truck when they remove the section that collapsed on the truck.
If I hear more info, I'll post it.
I’m glad your friend is okay. Sad about the driver.
I think it’s telling that 6ABC cut the interview clip of the investigators short this morning after one of them said that they’d be able to get “closer to the scene of the crime” once the fire is fully out.
